"Karate instructor pleads not guilty
A Braintree karate instructor pleaded not guilty Monday at his arraignment in Quincy District Court on charges that he indecently assaulted a 10-year-old girl in December, prosecutors said. Millis resident Kevin Carmichael, 40, was charged with one count of indecent assault and battery of a child under 14, said David Traub, a spokesman for the Norfolk district attorney. Carmichael was arrested Saturday after agreeing to speak to police regarding an accusation that he indecently assaulted the student during a lesson at his Masters Self Defense Center karate school, Braintree police said."
