"Hyannis man allegedly threatens girlfriend with samurai sword
A 38-year-old man was arrested in Hyannis on Saturday morning after allegedly threatening his girlfriend with a samurai sword, police said. Devon Cotell was arguing with his girlfriend at his Woodbury Avenue home when he made the threat with the sword at 3:49 a.m., according to Barnstable police Sergeant Kevin Tynan. Cotell cut his hand when taking the sword out of its case and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment, Tynan said. His girlfriend was not injured. Cotell was being held at the Barnstable police station on $1,000 bail and is expected to be arraigned Monday at Barnstable District Court, according to Tynan."
