"Obama calls for fiscal prudence" by Associated Press And Globe Staff | June 10, 2009
Oh, he's got some nerve!
WASHINGTON - President Obama challenged Congress yesterday to force itself to pay for new programs as it goes, rather than sink the nation deeper into a debt.
This after HE RAN IT UP to NEARLY $2 TRILLION THIS YEAR and ALREADY GOT WHAT HE WANTED! What CHUTZPAH!!! Must come from having to many Zionists staff the executive wing.
Republicans lashed back that Obama is no voice of fiscal restraint, as the deficit is on pace to surpass $1.8 trillion this year, more than four times last year's all-time high.
Yeah, whatever; I no longer like the fooley game of politics. Where were these guys when they were in charge and tossing money down rat holes of war loot and fascist security structures based on lies?
The president's plan would require Congress to pay for new increases to federal benefit programs such as healthcare by raising taxes or coming up with budget cuts - a "pay-as-you-go" system that would be law. Under the proposal, if new spending or tax reductions are not offset, there would be automatic cuts in so-called mandatory programs, although Social Security payments and some other programs would be exempt.
Sounds good, but keep reading for the s***-stinking hypocrisy.
"It is no coincidence that this rule was in place when we moved from record deficits to record surpluses in the 1990s - and that when this rule was abandoned, we returned to record deficits that doubled the national debt," Obama said....
Oh, he wants to BRING BACK Gramm-Rudman!
You wanna SAVE SOME MONEY, Obama?
Then END the EMPIRE!!!!
FAT CHANCE: House passes $106b bill for war funding
That's on top of $80b they already gave him, and the $106b is chock full of other goodies.
The announcement also appeared designed to shore up his public support, a day after a high-profile pledge to ramp up the impact of the $787 billion stimulus package.
Oh, the WHOLE THING is POLITICAL, huh?
Man, and I thought we were getting "change."
Although Obama's job overall approval rating remains high at 61 percent, disapproval of how he is handling the economy has risen from 30 percent in February to 42 percent in late May. And more Americans surveyed now disapprove rather than approve how he is handling the federal budget deficit (46 percent approval, 48 percent disapproval) and how he is controlling federal spending (45 percent approval, 51 percent disapproval).
Yeah, I NO LONGER BELIEVE AGENDA-PUSHING MSM POLLS because I'VE TURNED on HIM!! I HAD HOPES when he first came in, but those were dashed pretty quickly!
But the MSM will sell us on the "he's got 60% popularity" so they can ram the globalist agenda through Congress.
Yesterday, he compared his proposal to how responsible families run their household budgets. "Paying for what you spend is basic common sense," he said. "Perhaps that's why, here in Washington, it has been so elusive."
Yeah, READ the NEXT ARTICLE, folks, to see what a bulls***ter this guy is!
But before you do, take a big bite of THIS TURD:
Obama's plan would also require future tax cuts to be financed by tax increases elsewhere in the code, though exceptions are made for extending President Bush's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, as well as other tax cuts that are scheduled to expire.
Oh, the CHANGE CANDIDATE is KEEPING the BUSH TAX CUTS, huh?
You know, the ONES HE SAID he would REPEAL, then let EXPIRE!!!
WRONG AGAIN, Amurka!
Now you see whom HE is TRULY WORKING FOR -- the SAME FOLK as BUSH!!!!
--more--"
Oh, and about TAKING CARE with the TAXPAYER DOLLAR:
WASHINGTON - So much for the Obama common touch.
After whisking his wife to Manhattan for dinner and a Broadway show last weekend, President Obama is treating his family to a Paris vacation - paid for, in part, by taxpayers.
What did he say to the Congress five days later?
The White House confirmed yesterday that first lady Michelle Obama, their two daughters, and his mother-in-law will fly today to the City of Lights to join the president, who has scheduled meetings with French officials and will appear at a ceremony tomorrow in Normandy marking the 65th anniversary of D-Day.
What is the CARBON FOOTPRINT on that NEEDLESS FLIGHT, huh?
Last year on the campaign trail, the Obamas prided themselves on staying close to the people. Much was made of Michelle Obama's down-to-earth J.Crew wardrobe, candidate Obama's off-the-rack suits, and the family's search for a "shelter dog" to satisfy the wishes of 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha for a puppy.
Just goes to show you that POLITICS is BULLSHIT!!!!
Obama was BOUGHT and PAID FOR -- and then they put this SLICK SHEEN on him and called it CHANGE!
Now, the French press is buzzing about whether the first family will dine at a posh restaurant atop the Eiffel Tower, what fashions the first lady will wear, and whether she'll outshine Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, her glamorous French counterpart. But the trip has raised eyebrows among government watchdog groups, particularly since it comes so soon after the Obama's pricey "date night" jaunt to New York - the president called it fulfilling a campaign promise - and in the midst of what Obama himself has called the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
That's the ONE PROMISE he fulfills?
One public interest group notes that the White House still hasn't disclosed expenses from the Manhattan trip - estimated to be about $30,000 - and argues that the public should get a full accounting of a "flashy" European vacation.
Yeah, that's OBAMA'S TRANSPARENCY for you!!!!
Leslie Paige, a spokeswoman for Citizens Against Government Waste, said that because Obama has such a demanding job, few would begrudge him some presidential perks - as long as he doesn't completely indulge himself on the taxpayer's dime.
Well, I'M NOT ONE of THEM!! I didn't even want an inaugural parade.
TAKE the OATH, GET INTO the OFFICE, and GET TO WORK!!! That's it!
The problem, she said, is that Obama has not made his expenses public, and thus is failing to keep his pledge to run an open, transparent government.
Yeah, so what else is new?
"I doubt we'll see the true cost of the trip to Paris," Paige said. Not keeping his promise "has been a disappointment, to say the least," she added.
I'll spare your eyes and I won't add anything to that.
A White House spokeswoman said Michelle Obama will accompany her husband to the Normandy tribute, but otherwise the family's schedule while in Paris will be private.
Transparency all around, 'eh?
Under government rules, the spokeswoman said, Obama will personally pay for any non-official expenses he and his family incur on the trip, but their expense report will not be released.
Yeah, because WHO DO YOU THINK pays HIS SALARY, 'eh?
If HE PAYS then YOU PAY, TAXPAYER!
The president plans to return to Washington on Sunday, but his family plans to stay longer in Paris.
So they were in paris when he made his "tighten-the-belt" shpeel?
The spokeswoman said that for security reasons, the family will cross the Atlantic in a government jet. The Obamas will reimburse the government at commercial fares, but she would not say at what rate.
Pfft! Nice to have your own private, taxpauer-funded fiefdom, isn't it?
While it's important to keep the trip in perspective because "there are a lot of big-ticket items like healthcare that will be a lot more important in the long run," Paige said, Obama might have thought twice about taking such a high-profile family vacation.
No, the arrogance of the man won't allow it.
"He's under a microscope," perhaps more than any president in modern history, Paige said, and modesty will go a long way. "Maybe he could be more austere," she added, "with a little less flash, and a little more transparency."
Not his style.
And how about the GAS-GUZZLING TANK of CAR, huh?
