As if I didn't despise them and their woefully atrocious reporting as it is, they pile it on.
"Charlemont finds its covered bridge too good to let go" by Noah Bierman, Globe Staff | July 12, 2009
CHARLEMONT - Taxpayers are spending billions to shore up old bridges across the Commonwealth, but only one restoration merits a square-dancing celebration on its deck....
Yup, we are all a bunch of rubes out here!
At least I'm not a s***-spewing Zionist elitist!
And look at the tone: AS IF WE are COSTING that LOOTING CITY and STATE GOVERNMENT TAX DOLLARS!
I WANT my BIG DIG INTEREST PAYMENTS BACK RIGHT NOW, s***ter!!!!!
This spot, in Western Massachusetts near the Mohawk Trail, has had a covered bridge since 1840, though residents confess that the recently restored bridge was a replacement built in 1951.
Yup our historical landmarks aren't even real, therefore not worth the money.
Well, SCREW YOU, Globe!
This is MY LAST PURCHASE because YOU AREN'T GETTING MY MONEY ANYMORE, you loss-bleeding piece of Jewish filth.
I once respected the Globe despite Mike Barnicle (the plagiarist), but I never will again.
Locals also note that there was a lot of debate over the past two decades, among themselves and with state highway officials, over whether to replace the bridge with a modern concrete and steel structure, or restore the landmark at a higher cost.
Yup, the RESTORATION COST MORE is US RUBES is RIPPING YOU OFF, Bostonian!
Yeah, I'M SURE we are the CAUSE of the LOOTING LEGISLATURE and the STATE'S PROBLEMS!!
In the meantime, they lived with a temporary bridge and inconvenient stop lights on both sides that prevented more than one car from passing at a time.
Yup, a US RUBES were PATIENT an DIDN'T COMPLAIN ALL THIS TIME despite the INCONVENIENCE!
So UNLIKE you RANK ELITES of Boston!!!!!
The $3 million cost for the restoration - paid for with state and federal dollars - continues to raise questions when transportation funds are tight, even as the smell of fresh Douglas fir and white pine has yet to wear off....
Oh, WE ARE COSTING the STATE a WHOLE $3 MILLION, huh?
I know where you can FIND THAT TYPE of TAXPAYER LOOT EASY!!!

"E. Longmeadow mourns loss of Iraq veteran, 23; Bomb survivor killed in crash" by John M. Guilfoil, Globe Correspondent | July 12, 2009

Another SELF-SERVING REASON the Globe likes him!
That a local war hero overcame so much only to die in a car accident has left his family and neighbors in East Longmeadow, his small Western Massachusetts hometown, shaken and in mourning.
Army Sergeant Mark R. Ecker II lost both his legs in February 2007 when an explosive device detonated near his patrol on the streets of Ramadi in central Iraq. On Friday, Ecker died of injuries suffered in a car accident in Andover.
He was 23....
Yeah, THANKS for PROMOTING that ABOMINABLE WAR CRIME with your LIES, Globe!!!
State Police said Ecker was not wearing a seat belt Friday when the driver, Stephanie Ortiz, 21, lost control of her 1996 Pontiac Sunfire heading south on Interstate 93 and rolled over. Ortiz sustained minor injuries. Debbie Ecker said Ortiz told her the passenger-side seat belt was not working properly in the vehicle. The crash is under investigation by State Police and the Essex district attorney’s office.
Jack Villamaino, chairman of the East Longmeadow Borad of Selectman, said the entire community is in shock. Many residents saw the war veteran just last week when he marched proudly on his prosthetic legs through town in the Fourth of July parade.
President Bush visited Ecker in March 2007 while he was recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Bush apologized to troops for the sub-standard conditions at the hospital, but Ecker was in good spirits despite the conditions and the recent loss of his legs. “I’m doing great,’’ he told the president, and then the two shared a light-hearted joke about Ecker’s suggestive “girlie tattoo’’ on his left arm, according to an Associated Press story.
Aww, he was visited b the WAR CRIMINAL in CHIEF who afforded the kid the OPPORTUNITY to LOSE HIS LEGS because of his LIES -- who had to APOLOGIZE for NOT SUPPORTING the TROOPS!!!!!
For his parents, there was never any doubt that the oldest Ecker child would be a soldier....
--MORE--"And I am having no doubt that America -- at least the one I believed in -- is no more.
Oh, yeah, back to the INSULTS!
"The next conservative thinkers; Many Republicans fret that the party of ideas has gotten stuck. Here are four who might help unstick it" by Drake Bennett | July 12, 2009
Politically, they’re in the wilderness, with Barack Obama’s popularity stubbornly high....
I just LOVE IT when the MSM starts the article off with a LIE!!!!

Of course, RON PAUL is NEVER MENTIONED by the Globe hack.
Dr. Paul is only to be made fun of in the stinking Globe.
NO WONDER they are LOSING $1,600,000 dollars a WEEK!!!
And there will a $1.50 LESS they will be collecting tomorrow!
