EVERETT - Police questioned a man last night in connection with the slaying of a 24-year-old exotic dancer outside her apartment early yesterday morning....
You have to love the politically correct euphemisms.
And FOR the RECORD (if you read me regularly you would know this), I am NOT FOR ANYONE BEING KILLED no matter what the situation (except for lying looters and mass-murdering war criminals after trials)!!

Ana Paola Santos, also a dancer at Club Alex’s, said she last spoke to her sister in the parking lot of the Stoughton club as she was leaving and Sheila was arriving for work, at about 1 a.m. yesterday....

WOBURN - An exotic dancer repeatedly refused her former lover’s advances for almost a year, so, authorities say, he stabbed her 33 times and left her to die at her doorstep.
Yesterday, police arrested Antonio “Marcos’’ Ferreira in Charlestown and charged him with first-degree murder in the death of Sheila dos Santos, 24, of Everett.
At a press conference yesterday, Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr. said the 38-year-old Ferreira’s advances were repeatedly spurned for more than nine months by dos Santos. Leone said the two had dated for about a year before she broke things off.
Anybody have a problem with that, because I do!
The district attorney said that Ferreira ceaselessly tried to rekindle the relationship, before fatally stabbing dos Santos early on the morning of Oct. 2 as she returned from dancing at Club Alex, a Stoughton strip club.
“At this time, all of the evidence we’ve obtained and developed points to this defendant as the murderer,’’ Leone said, citing Ferreira’s own statements to police, physical evidence, witness accounts of his car being at the scene at the time of the killing, cellphone records, and video surveillance data reviewed by investigators....
Leone said Ferreira had recently packed up and moved out of his Somerville apartment and had all of his possessions with him when he was arrested, including his Brazilian passport....
Translation: HE was FLEEING!!!!

As recently as the Sunday before she died, she had gone to the Plaza Garibaldi Lounge in Revere to catch a popular Brazilian musical act. Dos Santos was the youngest of five children. She came to the United States about three years ago from Mirante Da Serra, Brazil. She enjoyed going to the gym and cooking meals for her two sisters
Leone would not say whether Ferreira was the man police questioned the night after dos Santos was killed. He would also not comment on Ferreira’s immigration status, saying it would come up at his arraignment Tuesday in Malden District Court....

MALDEN - The day before police found his former girlfriend fatally stabbed 33 times near the rear entrance of her Everett apartment building, Antonio “Marcos’’ Ferreira told friends he would kill her if she refused to have sex with him, prosecutors said in court yesterday....
Prosecutors declined to comment yesterday, but in court they said a blood stain on a pair of Ferreira’s sneakers matches dos Santos’s DNA. They also said video surveillance cameras show Ferreira’s 2005 Nissan Murano in the vicinity of dos Santos’s apartment building about the time she was killed.
Other evidence suggests he had been stalking her for much of the past year, after she broke off the relationship, and that he had called her nearly a dozen times on his cellphone the day before she died, at times minutes apart, authorities said.
Dos Santos, 26, who was known as Kelly at Club Alex, was found face down about 4:30 a.m., her back and sides punctured by “large gapping (sic) slashes,’’ according to a police report, which added that a neighbor apparently heard her screaming, “Get off of me!’’ and “Get away from me!’’

In an interview outside the courthouse after the arraignment, John Hayes, a Boston lawyer appointed by the court to represent Ferreira, said his client is innocent. “I think they have the wrong guy,’’ Hayes said. “He wasn’t at the scene; he didn’t stab her.’’

He dismissed the DNA evidence, pointing out that the two had an on-and-off relationship in the past year. “They knew each other a long time,’’ Hayes said. “DNA can get on you in many ways.’’
What is he suggesting, the cops planted the blood on the shoe?

He also pointed out that dos Santos never sought a restraining order against Ferreira and that he was cooperating with police.

Hayes said the video surveillance only shows him driving around. “He was out and about,’’ he said. “There isn’t any video putting him at the scene.’’

Prosecutors should not rule out other potential suspects, the lawyer said. “I don’t want to blame the victim, but her employment does lead to meeting a lot of dangerous people. . . . These things happen. Part of her job was to get people interested.’’
