Sunday Globe Censorship: Barney Frank Tells Gays to Go F*** Themselves

How STRANGE that the GLOBE has SCRUBBED what I am looking at in the printed paper on my desk!!!!!

"Rep. Barney Frank, an openly gay member of Congress, says he'd rather see gay rights supporters lobbying their elected officials than marching in Washington this weekend, calling the demonstration "a waste of time at best."

Do you LIKE BEING INSULTED by your
ALLY?

Frank said in an interview with The Associated Press that he considers such demonstrations to be "an emotional release" that does little to pressure Congress.

Yeah, US ANTIWAR FOLK FOUND THAT OUT!

"The only thing they're going to be putting pressure on is the grass," the Massachusetts Democrat said Friday."

Oh, he's SOOOOO FUNNY and GLIB, isn't he?

I just CAN'T IMAGINE WHY the BOSTON GLOBE and MSM would AXE THAT!

Kind of DOING YOU BOTH WAYS, isn't he?

Not like there is any agenda-pushing going on, or favoritism being shown down at the newspaper. No wonder the politicians are so worried about the newspapers: it is THEIR MOUTHPIECE!

WHY is the PRESS COVERING UP that INSULT to the GAY COMMUNITY by their ALLEGED DEFENDER?!!!!!!

This is the rest of the piece VERBATIM as it appeared in my Boston Sunday Globe!

"Gay rights activists eager to hear Obama's plans" by Christine Simmons, Associated Press | October 10, 2009

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is finding it tough to deliver on big campaign promises to the gay rights community but is looking to reaffirm a commitment to their priorities.

How come everyone cow-tows to this group over all others? What are they afraid of, and why is the paper overly promoting this band? I mean, we ALL HAVE HAD PROMISES BROKEN, with the ANTIWAR CROWD FIRST in LINE. Liberals are blown off every day and no one raises such a fuss.

Outing the Gay Agenda

Sigh.

On the eve of a major gay-rights rally, Obama planned to address thousands of gays and lesbians at a fundraising dinner Saturday night for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay-rights group. A White House spokesman says Obama will outline the progress he hopes to achieve for the gay community in the coming weeks and months.

Since Obama took office in January, some advocates have complained that Obama has not followed through on promises on issues they hold dear and has not championed their causes from the White House, including ending the ban on gays serving openly in the military....

You know, if SERVING and DYING for EMPIRE is going to gain equality in your eyes, have at it. I certainly will never kill in that name -- or any other -- and call it equality.

"I'm disappointed because I think a lot of us, particularly a lot of us young people, believed that we would see quick and decisive change, and now I think we're facing the reality that it's not that way," said Kip Williams, a co-director of the National Equality March, which is expected to draw thousands of gay and lesbian activists to the National Mall on Sunday.

Believe me, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!!!

"I am not satisfied by dreams and visions. I want to see real commitments, and I would be pleased if I heard Obama make a real commitment with a timeline," he said....

You mean, like, ON ENDING the WARS, too, right?

How come I never see you guys at the antiwar rallies, huh?

Oh, yeah, YOU WANT TO WAR!

That certainly runs counter to the loving gay the paper promotes all the time, doesn't it?

In the past, Obama has urged the gay-rights community to trust him. In June, he pointed to some initial efforts, such as a presidential memorandum he issued that expands some federal benefits to same-sex partners. On Saturday night, Obama is also expected to cite hate-crimes legislation that he wants to see Congress pass quickly for his signature.

Still, it's a far cry from his biggest promises....

Obama hasn't taken any concrete steps urging Congress to rescind the "don't ask, don't tell" policy that allows gays and lesbians to serve....

Now the FUN STARTS!!!

Rep. Barney Frank, an openly gay member of Congress, notes there has been some progress such as the hate-crimes legislation, which would make it a federal crime to assault people because of their sexual orientation. Frank, D-Mass., also said the gay rights community understands "there is a legislative process" and progress can't happen overnight.

That is NOT WHAT is in the CLIPPED ARTICLE I WILL BE SAVING!!!

Un-flipping-real!

So WHICH GAY ACTIVIST CALLED AP and told them to change the quote?

This is the the Glob gave me in the web version:

Obama pledges to end military’s ‘don’t ask’ policy

I didn't see Barney Frank quoted there.

And TWO DAYS of COVERAGE, Globe, for such a WASTE of TIME!!!!????

"Activists rally in D.C. to press Obama on gay rights; Focus on marriage, ‘don’t ask’ policy" by Brett Zongker, Associated Press | October 12, 2009

WASHINGTON - Tens of thousands of gay rights supporters marched yesterday from the White House to the Capitol, demanding that President Obama keep his promises....

And if you read the copy you can see this is an APPROVED PROTEST by the AGENDA-PUSHING PRESS because the mood is all festive and supportive (think gays, global warming, illegal immigration), as opposed to possible violence, etc, as in the case of any that oppose said agenda (think anti-globalization or antiwar protesters for starters).

Obama’s political energies have been focused on two wars, the economic crisis, and health care legislation....

You know, MORE IMPORTANT STUFF.

March organizer Cleve Jones, creator of the AIDS Memorial Quilt and a protégé of gay rights pioneer Harvey Milk, said he had initially discouraged a rally earlier in the year.

He must have been talking to Barney Frank. Just a waste of time, anyway.

But he and others began to worry Obama was backing away from his campaign promises. “Since we’ve seen that so many times before, I didn’t want it to happen again,’’ Jones said....

He didn't just back away, he fled.

Unlike the first march in 1979 and others in 1987, 1993, and 2000 that included celebrity performances, yesterday’s event was more low-key....

Then why did it lead my nation section?
