ONE-SIXTH of the WORLD?!!!!
Here is one country only:
"Nearly 14 million people in Ethiopia are going hungry this year."
But they have enough money and military to invade and occupy Somalia for two years.
Maybe the U.N. could have them over for a meal:
"Every table was set with a single fresh rose (from the rose gardens outside, I was told) and a full complement of three forks, two knives, and two spoons in silver plate..... The buffet tables could have graced a high-end ocean liner. I watched a gentleman in colorful African garb pile his plate with slices of roast sirloin and potatoes mashed with feta cheese. A post-retirement-age couple from the East Side scarfed up most of the egg rolls, though more came out quickly....
I made for the roast leg of lamb with rosemary sauce after I filled my salad plate with chilled asparagus and slices of a duck and pork terrine.... fresh tomato soup and bowls of pasta primavera.... The dessert buffet table practically groaned under a spread of apple and pumpkin pies, cheesecakes, tarts, half a dozen cheeses, sliced fruits, bowls of berries, and, off to one side, three urns of ice cream"
And these guys are supposed to be HELPING the POOR in this world?
Then HOW COME WHEREVER THEY ARE there is NO IMPROVEMENT?!
In fact, things get WORSE!
Look, I used to be a big believer in the U.N. even as little as 5 years ago; however, MY EYES have been OPENED SINCE THEN and THIS ELITIST ORGANIZATION of GLOBAL GOVERNMENT is NOT WHAT it PURPORTS to be at all!!!
"Economy has left 1 billion hungry, UN says; Aid, agricultural investment down" by Ariel David, Associated Press | October 15, 2009
What, are they into repeating themselves now?

ROME - Thirty countries now require emergency food assistance, including 20 in Africa. The most populous region, Asia and the Pacific, has the most hungry people, 642 million....
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!
Declining aid and investment in agriculture caused a steady increase in world hunger for more than a decade before the economic crisis pushed the ranks of the hungry to a record 1 billion, a United Nations food agency said yesterday....
After gains in the fight against hunger in the 1980s and early 1990s, the number of undernourished people started climbing in 1995, reaching 1.02 billion this year under the combined effect of high food prices and the global financial meltdown, the the UN Food and Agriculture Organization said....
Climbed on Bill Clinton's watch, huh?
Soaring prices for food staples in 2007 and 2008 forced poor families to sell their meager assets and cut spending on meals, health, and education.
All while BANKS and WAR LOOTERS got RICH!
Although the inflated prices, which caused riots across the globe last year, have stabilized, they remain comparatively high, especially in the developing world, director-general Jacques Diouf said.
Yeah, if you are an AVERAGE PERSON in any country LIFE SUCKS!!!

I can not say I do not feel guilty breaking for lunch.
Of course, my table looks nothing like the U.N. spread.
