Protests Keeping Pressure on Iran

Every day coverage of these, just as predicted.

Not only is this getting to easy to the sniffer, it is getting boring.

"Mass rallies back Iran’s government; Protesters call for execution of opposition leaders" by Thomas Erdbrink, Washington Post | December 31, 2009

Remember, readers, the Washington Post is the CIA 's newspaper.

Let's see if they mention Operation Ajax.

TEHRAN - Hundreds of thousands of government supporters rallied against Iran’s political opposition in Tehran yesterday....

The progovernment demonstrators also condemned the United States and Britain, which the Ahmadinejad government has accused of fomenting the protests.

Yesterday’s rallies were held in Shiraz, Arak, Qom, Isfahan, and Tehran, among other cities.

The rallies appeared to be genuine outpourings of support for Iran’s leaders; however, government employees and schoolchildren were given the day off, and some demonstrators from rural areas arrived in buses provided by the government....

I read that and I see the taint of an agenda-pushing, one-sided, pro-opposition PoS MSM and instantly dismiss it. They are fine ones to talk with their controlled opposition coverage at best, and divisive agenda-pushing at worst.

See slanted protest coverage here, or keep reading and checking links.

Waving flags, holding up placards, and chanting slogans, the progovernment demonstrators swore allegiance to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and accused Mousavi, Karroubi, and their supporters of terrorist acts....

Since Sunday’s clashes, the bloodiest confrontation between security forces and protesters in months, the political turmoil in Iran appears to have reached a new stage. State television called on people to come out and protest the disturbances, which it said destroyed the sanctity of Ashura.

That was the intent of the U.S tools.

Portraying Sunday’s protesters as terrorists and hooligans, the network asserted that they had attacked processions of the faithful who were mourning the death of Shi’ite saint Imam Hussein in a seventh-century battle....

Yeah, it is HOW YOU PUT PRESSURE on a government for a "bloodless" coup.

Progovernment demonstrators also chanted “Death to America’’ and “Death to Britain,’’ reflecting Ahmadinejad’s accusations of foreign meddling in Iran’s affairs.

Did the Zionist MSM just mess up the translation, or... ?

Is that like mindlessly chanting "U.S.A?"

Yeah, and GOD FORBID you mention the ACTUAL TRUTH in country:

Iran is Paranoid

NOT if they REALLY ARE out to GET YOU!!

Also see: Pictures of Iran you won't see in the Mainstream Media

And GET THIS!!

An online threat in the name of a previously unknown group said suicide squads were ready to assassinate the opposition leaders should the judiciary not punish them within a week.

Oh, yeah, sure!!

Yeah, RED FLAGS should be WAVING THERE, folks!!!

The threat appeared on a blog in the name of an unknown group calling itself the Bright Shooting Star Suicide Bombers Brigade. It said a group of suicide attackers has been set up in the holy city of Qom, 80 miles south of the capital.

So were they CIA?

Blackwater?

Jundallah?

Which western outfit SET THIS UP, hanh?

So the WESTERN TERRORISM against IRAN is going to be RAMPED UP, huh?

"Iran opposition leaders threatened with prosecution; Official says they must denounce recent protests" by Nasser Karimi, Associated Press | January 1, 2010

TEHRAN - Iran’s opposition leaders faced new threats yesterday....

You mean, BEYOND the ASSASSINATION THREATS, cui bono?

Police firing tear gas and wielding batons dispersed opposition supporters trying again yesterday to gather in two locations in central Tehran, said an opposition website called The Green Road. Police detained many of them, it said. The information could not be independently confirmed due to restrictions barring journalists from reporting on opposition activity in the streets.

How come THAT NEVER COMES UP when GAZA is MENTIONED, 'eh, Zionist AmeriKan MSM?

And the SLANTED PROTEST COVERAGE is BACK, huh?

The confrontation between Iran’s clerical rulers and their opponents has returned to the streets in recent weeks, after a harsh crackdown immediately following the election had all but put an end to demonstrations. Despite a continuing tough response from security forces, the opposition movement has regained some momentum....

Am I supposed to believe the one-sided, agenda-pushing, war-promoting, MSM?

That was followed by two days of progovernment protests Wednesday and yesterday in which crowds chanted calls for the execution of the opposition leaders. A group also posted an online threat that suicide squads were ready to assassinate those leaders if the judiciary did not punish them within a week.

Yeah, THERE IT IS AGAIN!

The AGENDA-PUSHING MSM PROMOTION MEANS expect headlines coming out of Iran soon about "suicide bombers' attacking 'opposition leaders."

What's SACRIFICING a FEW OPERATIVES and DUPES in order to ADVANCE the NEO-CON PLAN into its FINAL STAGES, huh?

Some government supporters at the two days of rallies wore white funeral shrouds to symbolize a willingness to die in defense of Iran’s clerical rulers. Several hundred turned out for yesterday’s demonstration in southern Tehran outside the offices of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, state radio reported....

Late Wednesday, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported that opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi and another top figure, Mahdi Karroubi, had fled Tehran amid the threats. But Karroubi’s son, Taghi Karroubi, disputed that report and told the Associated Press that his father and Mousavi were at their homes in Tehran.

“The people who must escape are the ones whose hands are tainted with the blood of Iranian people,’’ Taghi Karroubi said. “Unfortunately, the government news agency is spreading false news like the government itself.’’

Well, given the Zionist war propaganda we are fed daily, I'd probably like their news.

And that's only a sliver of the MSM cake of lies....

"Facing death threats, Mousavi denounces crackdown in Iran" by Ali Akbar Dareini, Associated Press | January 2, 2010

TEHRAN - Iran’s opposition leader yesterday pledged to remain defiant in the face of new threats - including calls by hard-liners for his execution - and said he would sacrifice his life in defense of the people’s right to protest peacefully against the government....

So he is JUST ASKING the CIA and JUNDULLAH to BLOW HIM UP, huh?

Mir Hossein Mousavi... said he was “ready for martyrdom’’ - the sacrifice of one’s life for a higher cause....

And I EXPECT he will get it, and BOY WILL IT EVER STINK!!!!!

One of those killed in clashes Sunday between security forces and opposition protesters was Mousavi’s nephew, Ali Mousavi. He was gunned down but authorities claimed police didn’t use firearms and said the nephew was “assassinated’’ by unknown assailants.

Yeah, THAT STINKS to HIGH HEAVEN, too?

Hard-liners have become especially furious after some pro-opposition protesters chanted slogans against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - a taboo in Iran, where the supreme leader is considered answerable only to God....

Yeah, well, THEY WERE NOT the ONLY ONES ANGRY at the BLASPHEMY!!!!

Who knows what tomorrow's Globe will bring, but I expect it will be more of the same.

"Iran: U.S. Hasn’t Learned Lesson from Hiroshima

Kayhan News, Iran
Translated By Michelle Quay
27 December 2009

After visiting the lingering traces of America’s crimes in Hiroshima, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Sa’eed Jalili declared, “At the very least, the U.S. should be punished with disarmament and the revocation of its right to veto for its crimes here.”

According to several agencies, Jalili spoke at a press conference on the last day of his trip to Japan after visiting the site of the bombing and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, describing the message of Hiroshima as the obvious need for American disarmament.

Jalili said, “Because nuclear weapons lack legitimacy, no country or party should have such weapons at its disposal.”

In response to a question on his opinion after familiarizing himself with the pain, suffering and problems of the survivors of the U.S. atomic attack on Hiroshima, he said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is familiar with the crimes by the United States in various parts of the world, including in Iraq and Afghanistan and even in Iran.”

Jalili explained, “Unfortunately America, which committed the crimes of Hiroshima, still continues the proliferation of nuclear weapons and experimenting with new generations of these types of weapons. Nowadays, however, the overwhelming message from the international community is for the disarmament of that country and its nuclear capabilities.”

The Islamic Republic of Iran intends to hold a conference in Tehran soon on disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. In reference to this, Jalili said, “The Islamic Republic plans to hold this conference to honor of all the victims of weapons of mass destruction in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Halabja and Sardasht, which all took place with the support of the United States and as a result of the incorrect behaviors of that country.”

The senior nuclear negotiator for the Islamic Republic of Iran warned, “Tehran intends to seriously follow up on the issue of disarmament and non-proliferation with the cooperation of the international community.”

Jalili clarified, “Those who have committed the worst crimes against the people of Hiroshima and humanity by using nuclear weapons should not be the ones to win a prize and enjoy the right of veto.”

He expressed regret that these powers still are continuing the politics of proliferation, the experimentation with new generations of nuclear weapons and the escalation of these weapons, and that they are even working towards nuclear proliferation.

Jalili added, “Who but America and some of its allies has given the Zionist regime control over nuclear weapons?”

Jalili reiterated the point that according to the core beliefs of the Islamic Republic, a lasting peace cannot be achieved without fighting against injustice and disarming America and the other nuclear powers.

While expressing his hope for the creation of a world full of peace, justice and happiness for all peoples of the world, Jalili emphasized that the events of Hiroshima must not be allowed to repeat itself....
