Empire More Important Than Earthquakes

That sure seems to be the tone regarding the war-promoting, agenda-pushing AmeriKan MSM and the Boston Globe when it comes to Japan.

"Strong quake hits Japanese islands" by Associated Press | February 27, 2010

TOKYO - A powerful earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.9 rattled Japan’s southern islands early today, injuring two and initially prompting fears of a tsunami.

Interesting that this occurred one day before Chile overwhelmed everything.

It is my belief -- and I'm just putting it out there -- is that this is connected. A reaction on one side of the ring of fire is bound to have an effect on the other.

Related(?): Are We in a HAARP "Earthquake War"?

I don't know about that because they are naturally occurring phenomena; however, sometimes they can get a push (I've always believed that exploding nuclear bombs in underground tests was never good for the earth's crust -- or any other part of the earth and its inhabitants).

There were no reports of serious damage from the quake, believed to be the strongest in a century to hit Japan’s southern Okinawa Island. Japan’s Kyodo news agency said two people were hurt, but there were no reports of any deaths.

The quake occurred off the coast of the island of Okinawa at a depth of 6.2 miles, the Meteorological Agency said.

The only damage reported hours after the quake was ruptured water pipes in two locations, Okinawa police official Noritomi Kikuzato said.

The Meteorological Agency had initially predicted a tsunami up to 6 feet near the Okinawan coast and warned nearby residents to stay away from the coastline. The agency lifted the warning within two hours after observing only a small swelling of the tide....

The quake registered a 5 on the Japanese scale, which measures intensity in specific locations and goes up to 7. Kyodo said that made it the strongest to hit the island since 1909.

Japan is one of the world’s most earthquake-prone countries. In 1995, a magnitude-7.2 quake in the western port city of Kobe killed 6,400 people.

Of course, when the Globe returns to Okinawa it isn't to check on the earthquake:

TOKYO - Japan’s government will keep a US military base on Okinawa, meeting the demands of the Obama administration, even if that means alienating a coalition partner and local people, a vice defense minister said.

So much for change, 'eh, my Japanese friends?

I'm sorry my instincts and analysis were correct.

Okinawan residents, who want the Marine base moved off the island, will be offered compensation in return for accepting the government’s decision, Akihisa Nagashima, said in an interview in Tokyo yesterday, without elaborating. His remarks are the most definitive by a member of the government indicating that Japan will keep the facility on Okinawa....

You know, it is INTERESTING because THAT is what WE Americans want, too!!!

BRING the TROOPS HOME, all of 'em!!!!

And NO AMOUNT of MONEY is going to BUY US OFF, either!!!

Any solution “must be operationally doable to the US,’’ said Nagashima, 48, a lawmaker with the ruling Democratic Party of Japan.

Translation: WE STILL OWN the JAPANESE GOVERNMENT and HAVE for 65 YEARS!!!!!!

In regard to the coalition, “the question is whether we get a divorce and go our separate ways or find a political compromise,’’ he said.

That's the end of that government. The quiet coup worked!

President Obama has pushed Japan to honor a 2006 agreement signed by a previous government to move the Futenma air base within Okinawa despite local complaints of pollution, crime, and noise. Hatoyama ousted the Liberal Democratic Party in August and campaigned on scrapping the accord....

Yeah, f*** what OUR HOSTS think of OUR EMPIRE, 'eh, ARROGANT AmeriKa!?

Japan’s Social Democratic Party has threatened to quit the coalition unless the base is moved off Okinawa. Nagashima said the government’s minority partner, which has 12 lawmakers, must be realistic. Asked whether that meant the Social Democrats would have to accept this solution, he said, “Right.’’

Japan a "democracy," is it?
