Day at a New Zealand Beach

"RESCUE MISSION -- Rough surf hampered attempts to return stranded pilot whales to the ocean yesterday at Karikari Beach on the north coast of New Zealand. Fifty-eight whales came ashore overnight, and only 15 had survived by the time rescue operations began, according to New Zealand conservation officials (Boston Globe August 21 2010)."
