In an Oct. 22 Globe story about life on the campaign trail, the governor talked about how it was difficult to be away from his daughter, who has been living in California. Patrick referred to the man who is now his future son-in-law as “Marco, the Italian surfer.’’ The governor added quickly at the time: “I’m fine with it, though. Really. I’m fine. Fine.’’
