Bellegarde Puts a Curse on the Boston Globe

You don't have to; they are destroying themselves as I type:

"Woman threatened voodoo after dramatic crash" by Melissa Hanson |  Globe Correspondent, August 07, 2013

A woman whose car allegedly struck a Boston Globe delivery truck and sent it plummeting off Interstate 93 Monday swore at a trooper at the scene, threatened him with a voodoo curse, and said she did not care about the seriously injured driver, a State Police report said.

Vivencia Bellegarde, 25, of Everett told a state trooper that she did not care about hitting Paul J. Healy Jr.’s truck because he was not dead and said all she cared about was smoking a cigarette, according to the report on the crash.

When Trooper William Kokocinski told Bellegarde she would not be able to smoke, she called Kokocinski racist, told him that she was from Haiti, and said she planned to “voodoo” him, the report said.

Healy was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was being treated for multiple injuries, including fractured ribs, fractured vertebrae, a bruised kidney, and several lacerations, according to his mother. He was in fair condition Wednesday, a hospital spokeswoman said....

When Kokocinski approached Bellegarde’s Cadillac in the breakdown lane on I-93 a short distance from the crash, she told him she had left a party and had only consumed two beverages, the report said.

When Kokocinski asked if the alcohol had impaired her driving ability, she replied, “No way,” according to the report.

Oh, no way, huh?

Three electronic benefit transfer cards were discovered on Bellegarde, only one of which was hers. She could not offer a reasonable explanation why she had cards not issued to her, but called Kokocinski a “dumb [expletive]” for paying for food she gets free of charge, the report said.

Well, there is your welfare fraud the state government is cracking down on.

Bellegarde told Kokocinski that her name translated meant “give life, take life.” The report said that Bellegarde emphasized “take life.”

She followed that statement by shouting at Kokocinski that she wascoming for all you white [expletives].”

Oh, that's good to know.

A not guilty plea was entered on Bellegarde’s behalf Monday in Boston Municipal Court. She is being held on $10,000 cash bail and is barred from driving or consuming alcohol.

She was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of alcohol, and operating under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily injury, according to the office of Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley.

You know, I didn't want to comment on the ethnicity of the first name, but now the question must be asked: is she an illegal immigrant?

Either way I'm sure she's just a hard-working woman looking to put food on the table.
