Boston Sunday Globe Censorship: Out of Work

Hopefully that will be where the Globe is soon.

I'm surprised they MISSED this New York Times piece.

Don't you LISTEN to your PARENT, Globe?

Actually, no I'm not!

"On the Unemployment Line, Unable to Move

Long-term unemployment in the United States has risen to its highest level since the Great Depression, as those who have lost jobs have found it difficult to find new ones....

Yeah, TELL ME ABOUT IT!!

Besides, the
Boston Sunday Globe Says Job Loss is a Good Thing!

Then why the H1-Bs requests?

Related: No Sign of AmeriKan Economic Recovery

A decline in labor mobility may help explain some of the failure of workers to find jobs even after they have been unemployed for months.

Why?

Because of the OUTSOURCING and OFF-SHORING that goes UNMENTIONED by the ELITIST, PRO-CORPORATE, PRO-GLOBALIST AGENDA-PUSHERS who BROUGHT YOU ALL THIS and HEARTILY ENDORSED IT in their news pages?

It SOUNDS LIKE they are BLAMING WORKERS for the problem, doesn't it?

Hey, what is ONE MORE INSULT, huh?

Of course, NO PROBLEM in MOBILITY when it comes to ILLEGALS, huh, Globe?

See: Reason Number One Why No One Reads the Boston Globe Anymore

In previous downturns, some regions remained relatively strong, and attracted workers from other areas.

That was STATES playing STATES OFF against each other in a race to the bottom!

This time, the credit crisis has damaged job prospects almost everywhere, and plunging home prices mean that some who would like to move cannot afford to do so because they owe more than their house is worth.

But we are COMING OUT of recession, blah, blah, blah.

Another factor is that workers now are less likely to be able to return to their old employers when the economy recovers....

And WHY WOULD THAT BE, Floyd?

Moved to CHINA, did they?

The average unemployed person now has been out of work for 24.5 weeks, or nearly half a year.

It's been OVER TWO YEARS here and MY SAVINGS are ALMOST GONE!

That is also the longest period on record, and is a full six weeks longer than the average when total unemployment peaked in 1982. The final chart shows the number of people who have been unemployed for more than 15 weeks, a figure that is now up to 7.8 million.

Yup, and if you SCROLL through by Business TAGS you will find ALL SORTS of FUDGING DIFFERENCES in the # of unemployed.

That's the LYING, SHIT-CAN NEWSPAPER I LOVE SO MUCH!!

That figure has more than tripled over the last 24 months, a rate of increase that had not been seen since the severe downturn of the mid-1970s. There are limited signals that the deterioration in the labor market has slowed. The government estimates that there was a net loss of 1.3 million jobs in this year’s second quarter, compared with a loss of 2 million jobs in the previous quarter.

Yup, TITANIC STILL SINKING but LESS WATER coming in so EVERYTHING is OKAY! And THEY WONDER why we HATE the NEWSPAPER now?

If that continues, it will be taken as a sign that the economy is stabilizing, and will encourage economists who think the economy will turn up soon.

Translation: It will GIVE ECONOMISTS OCCASION to THROW SHIT!!!

But even if that happens, the challenge will be to find jobs for people who have been out of work the longest. So far, there is no indication that much progress has been made.

Yup, BUT....!

--more--"

Did you know that in the writing courses I had in college told me words like COULD BE, IF, MAYBE, STILL, BUT, etc, etc, were BAD WORDS to use for a REPORT -- and YET (another lovely word) I find them IN MY NEWSPAPER REPORTS EVERY DAY, EVERY WHERE!

Which means it is NOT a NEWSPAPER at all!
