Earthquake in Pashtunistan

Hard as it is to believe, the coverage is WORSE than what they gave the South Asia events!

Not only is the event TUCKED AWAY in the MIDDLE a PoS article about STOLEN ELECTIONS and POLITICS, it becomes a ONE-DAY WONDER, never to be heard about again in my Muslim-hating, Zionist War Daily.

"Election officials deliver Afghan runoff ballots; Strong quake strikes nation and Pakistan" by Todd Pitman, Associated Press | October 23, 2009

KABUL, Afghanistan - A strong earthquake centered in the towering Hindu Kush mountains shook a wide area of eastern Afghanistan and Pakistan early today, swaying buildings in the Afghan and Pakistani capitals.

There were no initial reports of damage or casualties from the quake, which struck about 12:21 a.m. Afghan time yesterday. The temblor was centered in a remote mountain area where communications are poor, however.

So a lot of POOR FARM FOLK could have their lives and or property taken and we don't know about it.

The earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.2 and was centered in mountains about 167 miles northeast of Kabul and 140 miles west of Mingaora, Pakistan, according to the US Geological Survey. Buildings shook in the Pakistani cities of Peshawar and the capital, Islamabad, and the quake was felt as far east as Lahore near the Indian border, Pakistani television stations reported. The Afghan Interior Ministry said it had no immediate reports of deaths or damage.

But, hey, it was JUST TERRORISTS so NO NEED to worry!

Paul Caruso, a geophysicist with the US Geological Survey, said that even though the quake was centered in a remote area, casualties were possible. Caruso said the quake was felt as far away as New Delhi, the Indian capital....

And I ALREADY CHECKED the Saturday Globe, readers.

NO FOLLOW UP!!! NOT a THING!!

Meanwhile, President Hamid Karzai will face former foreign minister Abdullah Abdullah in the runoff.... The preparations are being made amid a growing Taliban insurgency and ahead of mountainous Afghanistan’s winter snows, which begin in much of the country around the middle of November.

Yes, I AM VERY WORRIED about the PEOPLE UP THERE!

Will they be warm enough?

Will they have enough to eat?

Why am I crying typing this?

The IEC, the body that runs the elections, is under huge pressure to avoid a repeat of the massive fraud that marred the first voting, which discredited the government and threatened to undermine public support for the war in the United States and European countries that provide most of the 100,000 NATO-led troops serving in Afghanistan.

First of all, PUBLIC SUPPORT is ALREADY GONE, s*** MSM!!

And WHO CARES about POLITICS, MSM?

I care about THE PEOPLE who LIVE THERE!!!!!

Besides, the results have ALREADY BEEN DECIDED back in Washington!

"Give up on Karzai

.... The United States should not be working to legitimize Karzai, but to replace him....

Countering the Taliban will be easier if the United States has an Abdullah government to work with....

Straight from the agenda-pushing horse's mouth, folks.

Yeah, SOMEHOW the GLOBE MISSED THOSE!

At a meeting yesterday of 28 NATO defense ministers, Pentagon chief Robert Gates said allies indicated a willingness to boost military and civilian aid.... NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen cited “broad support’’ from defense ministers to stick with a war strategy devised by American commander General Stanley McChrystal that calls for tens of thousands more combat troops - including as many as 80,000 Americans....

80,000?! The MSM ha been telling us 40,000!!!!

Actually, it is 500,000, but WHO CARES, right, 'murka?!

Btw, do YOU FEEL a DRAFT?

NATO officials have largely resisted American entreaties to boost their troop contributions to Afghanistan....

See: NATO's Family Feud

In Washington, a senior administration official said yesterday that Obama was far from settled on a strategy and that there were no assurances that McChrystal will get what he is seeking. The official was not authorized to discuss the issue publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. Gates said yesterday that the “analytical phase’’ of the administration’s war strategy review was nearing an end, but cautioned that Obama will sift over options provided by his national security team over the next two to three weeks....

And there is ONE OPTION OFF the TABLE -- WITHDRAWAL!

An estimated 104,000 US and NATO troops will be in Afghanistan by the end of the year - two-thirds of which are American.

The Soviets had TWICE AS MANY and STILL COULDN'T CONTROL the PLACE!

McChrystal, who flew to Bratislava late Thursday, offered the ministers a 15-minute update on the war and his overview of how to win it. The ministers did not ask any questions or have any reaction during the closed-door lunch meeting, according to a US defense official who described it on condition of anonymity to discuss the meeting more candidly. Gates, the US defense secretary, said he was buoyed by the allied support of the 8-year-old war that has grown increasingly unpopular in NATO nations. He said NATO ministers would remain in Afghanistan until the conflict is successfully resolved....

Translation: We are staying forever -- unless you want to make peace with those icky Taliban who never did anything to us and are just fighting for their families, friends, and homes.

Still, several NATO ministers sounded dubious about agreeing to send more forces without assurances by the Obama administration to do the same....

Yeah, YOU FIRST!

And that is a BAD WORD for a REPORT -- especially when it CONTRADICTS the AGENDA-PUSHING HEADLINE!
