"Indonesia ferry sinks; 29 dead, 245 rescued

A crowded Indonesian passenger ferry sank yesterday in rough waters off Sumatra island. Twenty-nine people were killed and 17 were missing, but rescuers were able to save 245 survivors from the rough seas. Many of those saved, including a mother and daughter (top), were taken to Karimun.
