Cop Loses Control in Lowell

Did they give him a breathalyzer?

"Officer loses control, crashes into tree

In an incident apparently caused by today's rain, a Lowell police officer responding to a bank alarm today lost control of his cruiser and crashed into a tree, police said. The officer was not identified but Lowell Police Captain Randall Humphrey said. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. while the officer was driving on Nesmith Street near its intersection with Rogers Street, Humphrey said. The bank is on Rogers Street, he said. The officer was transported to Saints Medical Center.....
