"Woman gets 2-year term in identity theft

A Lowell woman pleaded guilty to 66 counts of identity theft, forgery, and credit card fraud and was ordered to pay $14,000 in restitution yesterday, Middlesex County prosecutors said. Desiree Gordon, 39, was sentenced to two years in state prison with 10 years’ probation and will have to pay a sum yet to be determined to the victims for damage to their credit history. Prosecutors said Gordon used 33 different identities to open credit card accounts, with many of the victims being physicians from across the country."
