"INDONESIA UNREST -- A protester walked past police vehicles set ablaze during a clash in Jakarta, Indonesia yesterday. A protest over a tomb on government land in the capital turned bloody, leaving two dead and some 130 wounded in clashes between riot police an hundreds of demonstrators armed with machetes and sticks. The protesters believed city officials were trying to remove the tomb of a cleric who helped spread Islam in the 18th century (Boston Globe April 15 2010)."

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Five suspected Islamic militants, including one of the most-wanted men in Indonesia, were killed yesterday in shoot-outs with antiterror squads in raids in and around the capital, police said.

The raids are the latest in a series since police broke up a terrorist training camp in western Indonesia run by a new group calling itself Al Qaeda in Aceh....
