Do I Buy a Boston Globe Today?

Especially when my local is better and costs half as less? Or better yet, why bother purchasing an AmeriKan newspaper at all? Because all they are doing is causing me hurt, pain, and a loss of productivity with all the time wasted repeatedly reporting and reading their agenda-pushing garbage and lies?

Readers of this blog know on Sunday I also purchase a local, then do a comparison with the big-city, New England newspaper (a.k.a. Boston Globe). I also view the Globe as the prism the Amerikan MSM allows us here in the hinterlands, and is the real "kitsch" of the blog.

But after yesterday, I don't know.

First off, the local had a far better piece on Nader than the
Globe, with even this little gem.

"There were indications that he might grab a few votes from Republican candidate John S. McCain this time around. "McCain seemed pretty good in 2000," said Andrew Scheip, of Westfield, who went to hear Nader speak at the gallery. "But I've been voting independent for a long time ... I think I'll go with Nader this year."

Well, that is
THREE of us, anyway!!

And it is not only that, the local gives me a GREAT SIX-PAGE VOTERS GUIDE!!!

Furthermore, there is the comparison in the national and world pages to the Boston Globe AND the EXPOSURE of either the Boston Globe's IGNORANCE, WILLFUL MINIMIZING or DELIBERATE CENSORSHIP (or outright deceptions, as we have seen on, well, everything)!!!

It is WITH GREAT PAIN that I type these words readers (and remember the title of this post)!!

Let's begin with the starkest of examples:

"HEBRON, West Bank (AP) - Nearly 600 newly trained Palestinian troops took up positions in this tense city on Saturday, as part of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' attempt to expand his control in the West Bank and keep the Islamic militant Hamas in line.

Hebron, a former Hamas stronghold, is the third Palestinian city to be reinforced with Abbas' forces. The pre-dawn deployment signaled growing security cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

An Israeli army statement said, however, that the Palestinian operation was a temporary measure to help combat Hamas and maintain public order and did not constitute a transfer of overall security responsibility from Israeli to Palestinian forces.

The troops arrived before dawn, during the Jewish Sabbath, a time apparently chosen to prevent protests by hundreds of Israeli settlers who live in several heavily fortified enclaves in the city. Hebron is divided into an Israeli-controlled downtown area, and the larger Palestinian-run sector of the city.

In recent months, Abbas has been trying to take over more areas of the once unruly West Bank, though Israel retains overall security control.

In the Gaza Strip, three Palestinians were killed when a smuggling tunnel linking Gaza to Egypt collapsed, officials said. Egyptian medical official Imad Kharboush said the tunnel collapsed early Saturday while smugglers were digging an exit. Since late January, 49 people have died in tunnel collapses.

Yeah, the Zionist-controlled Globe wouldn't deign to cover the deaths of Palestinians because of Israel's WAR CRIMINAL SIEGE!!

Gazans use the tunnels to smuggle in cash, weapons and consumer goods, dodging an Israeli and Egyptian closure of the coastal territory. Israel only allows limited supplies into Gaza. Egypt sporadically permits sick Palestinians, students and pilgrims to leave Gaza through its territory.

In the West Bank, a 23-year-old Palestinian was seriously wounded by Israeli army fire during a clash in the refugee camp of Fara early Saturday, said medic Adnan Ghawanmeh.

Israeli forces entered the camp, apparently in search of a fugitive militant. Young men hurled rocks and firebombs at the soldiers, who responded with live fire, Palestinians said. An Israeli army spokesman said Palestinians also shot at the soldiers, who fired back."

I don't believe Nazionist liars anymore. "Firebomb" is the new excuse and justification for NaZionist MURDER, 'eh?

Yeah, the Boston Globe wouldn't want to report on Israeli war crimes or anything!

Instead, I get this crap.

Notice how I saw, "In a separate development, nearly 600 newly trained Palestinian troops took up positions in the West Bank city of Hebron yesterday, as part of Abbas's attempt to expand his control in the West Bank and keep the Islamic militant group Hamas in line.

Hebron, a former Hamas stronghold, is the third Palestinian city to be reinforced with Abbas's forces. The predawn deployment signaled growing security cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. An Israeli army statement said, however, that the Palestinian operation was a temporary measure to help combat Hamas and maintain public order and did not constitute a transfer of overall security responsibility from Israeli to Palestinian forces," and didn' report it?

Why should I report Usraeli's Fatah agents and thugs being deployed when lying NaZionists are killing Palestininas every day? THAT is what I LOOK for in my Jewish War Dailies -- and why I am continually dissapointed in them.

Did you see the shooting of the kid in the Globe piece? I think my point has been made, huh, readers?

And I am tired of the latent bias and prejudice inherent in their racist, Zionist words and terminology, too. Subtle, but the Zionist agenda-pushing and issue-framing is there nevertheless!

Here is MUCH MORE the Globe "failed" to cover (with brief comments):

"Administration to Bypass Reporting Law" by CHARLIE SAVAGE

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration has informed Congress that it is bypassing a law intended to forbid political interference with reports to lawmakers by the Department of Homeland Security.

The August 2007 law requires the agency’s chief privacy officer to report each year about Homeland Security activities that affect privacy, and requires that the reports be submitted directly to Congress “without any prior comment or amendment” by superiors at the department or the White House.

But newly disclosed documents show that the Justice Department issued a legal opinion last January questioning the basis for that restriction, and that Michael Chertoff, the homeland security secretary, later advised Congress that the administration would not “apply this provision strictly” because it infringed on the president’s powers.

Sig Heil! He ain't leaving, is he?

Several members of Congress reacted with outrage to the administration’s claim, which was detailed in a memorandum posted this week on the Web site of the Office of Legal Counsel at the Justice Department.

PFFFFFFFFTTTT!

The letter that Mr. Chertoff sent to Congress in March was addressed or copied to 10 Congressional leaders. But it was not publicly disclosed and received no press coverage. It is not clear how many lawmakers saw it."

Now why the Globe wouldn't cover an article from their parent and former reporter, I don't know. Oh, yeah, the Globe about saying Bush won Iraq, he's fixing economy, and sailing off into sunset, no problem. Don't mind the LAW-BREAKING and DICTATORSHIP!

Then there is this the Globe condescended to a brief (which I ignored):

"Now is not the time for nations to abandon open market policies or approve changes that would threaten free enterprise, President Bush said Saturday.

As he turns our economy into a fascist one.

The president, who is hosting a meeting of world economic leaders on Nov. 15 in Washington, called for patience and expressed confidence the economy would eventually rebound. He called on the leaders at the summit to recommit themselves to the fundamentals of "long-term economic growth -- free markets, free enterprise and free trade."

He called for patience again, huh? After he rammed this bailout looting up our asses? Just like he wants patience with Iraq and Afghanistan?

Well, FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!!!! I am OUT of PATIENCE with you, you WAR-CRIMINAL MASS-MURDERER and TORTURER!! Just GO AWAY without doing ANY MORE DAMAGE, will ya

"And this moment of global economic uncertainty would be precisely the wrong time to reject such proven methods for creating prosperity and hope," he said."

That's what he calls the MISERY, DEATH and DESTRUCTION he has brought people? "Prosperity and hope?"

Oh, PUKE!!!!!!

And THIS is PROSPERITY and HOPE (where are you, Globe)?

"Recession's dark cloud spreads over US" by Michael Liedtke

If executives from some of the world's largest companies are correct, here are a few of the dreary things to expect in the next few months. Fewer and cheaper gifts under Christmas trees. Emptier restaurants because more people will be eating fast-food burgers when they do splurge on meals out. More unsold cars sitting in automobile lots. Longer unemployment lines as companies cut costs to offset their declining sales.

Even the bright spots are not exactly feel-good stories. Two of the largest tobacco companies stood by their profit projections while another raised its earnings outlook, largely because their cancer-causing products usually sell reasonably well even in tough times. A recession has not been declared by the national bureau of economists who look for two consecutive quarterly declines in gross domestic product. That has yet to show up in government statistics.

But that's an oversimplification that ignores other yardsticks used to identify a recession, including employment, household incomes, retail sales and business production. And business leaders are not waiting for the official proclamation.

Yahoo's chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, said the US was ''going into what is very clearly a recession mode''. He made the comment after the internet company disclosed plans to fire at least 1500 workers about 10 per cent of the payroll by the end of this year. Even companies seemingly in strong positions are treading more carefully. Internet search leader Google and software kingpin Microsoft, which combined have $35 billion in the bank, are keeping a closer eye on expenses. Apple predicted its profits and sales during the holiday season would be well below analyst estimates, even though the company sold a record number of Macintosh computers, iPhones and iPods during the last quarter.

Even before this brutal month began, the US economy lost 760,000 jobs this year. Many companies are wrestling with eroding earnings or even losses -- distress signals giving them ample reason to retrench. By the time all third-quarter results are in, the combined operating profits of 1,500 companies tracked by Standard & Poor's are expected to be 13 percent lower than profits in the same period last year. For all of 2008, the operating profits for the same 1,500 companies are expected to be down 26.5 percent.

Yeah, but they are STILL MAKING PROFIT!! Can you say the same, American?

Others, like Yahoo and Xerox Corp., aren't losing money, but are trying to make more money off of lackluster revenue growth. By cutting 3,000 jobs in the next six months, Xerox thinks it will be able to boost its 2009 profit by at least 10 percent.

NEED I even SAY IT?

Once a few companies start to fire workers, it can have a snowball effect as other executives realize they need to satisfy Wall Street's desire for cost cuts or they have a chance to trim the dead wood from their work forces without looking too cold-hearted."

Yeah, cut that DEAD WOOD (that is YOU, worker; what an insult, huh?) and don't make it look too "cold-hearted."

Don't make it LOOK that way -- no matter if it IS all to SATISFY WALL STREET!!!!

And as if to EMPHASIZE the point, the LOCAL carried THIS when my PRINTED GLOBE DID NOT -- even though the Globe's WEB SITE PICKED IT UP!!!

No, the Globe would rather give you this crap:

The Boston Globe Says Endless Work and Insecurity a Good Thing

Yes, my point has been made REPEATEDLY, hasn't it, readers?

Hammer time!!

"Bailout Free-For-All: Companies Line Up For Cash

WASHINGTON) — The bailout is now the hottest lobbying game in town.

Insurers, automakers and American subsidiaries of foreign banks all want the Treasury Department to cut them a piece of the largest government rescue in U.S. history.

I feel so bad for the American people (and myself) who didn't want to be looted this way.

The betting is that many with their hands out will be successful, especially with financial markets in a stomach-churning dive and predictions the economy is about to tumble into a deep recession. These groups argue that the credit squeeze is so severe and the risks to the economy so dire that their industries need financial support as well.

All done ON PURPOSE for THIS VERY REASON -- to LOOT the AMERICAN TAXPAYERS!!!!

The Treasury is considering requests from a variety of industries. Lobbying efforts are intensifying. The Financial Services Roundtable wrote Treasury officials on Friday requesting that the initiative to buy $250 billion in bank stock grow to cover insurers, auto companies, securities dealers and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign companies, including banks."

Oh, now it is FOREIGN COMPANIES, too, not just banks!!!

Where is YOUR BAILOUT, American homeowner and taxpayers?

I guess WE WON'T GET ONE, even if we VOTE IT IN OURSELVES!!!!

"Lawmakers: No "Plan B" yet if Question 1 passes

BOSTON (AP) -- So it's Nov. 5 and Beacon Hill leaders awake to find that despite their best efforts, voters have gone ahead and killed the state income tax.

What now?

Political officials, business and unions leaders and community organizers are so fixed on defeating Question One, few are talking about what they'll do if voters eliminate 40 percent of Massachusetts revenues.

The options include everything from eviscerating the budget, to dramatically hiking other taxes, to simply ignoring voters by repealing or altering the new law -- a politically risky move, but far from unprecedented in Massachusetts.

They are ALREADY DOING THAT ANYWAY!!!

Top political leaders won't even discuss a "Plan B" strategy.

Translation: the FIX is IN!!!

"Can we wait for the vote? Let's wait for the vote," Gov. Deval Patrick said this week when asked about a contingency plan. "I'm counting on the people of Massachusetts to see it for what it is and vote it down."

Oh, I SEE the STATE BUDGET for the PORK and POLITICAL TROUGH it is, guv!! That's why you need to read my related link!

House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi was equally circumspect. "We're going to address that as soon as we find out what the result is. We may not have to do that because Question One may not pass," DiMasi told The Associated Press this week.

Oh, I am SURE IT WILL NOT now!!!

And EVEN IF it does: "leaders like House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi have suggested they would ignore the result even if voters approved the question"

There is your LIBERAL, Massachusetts "democracy" for you! What a bunch of SHIT-STINKING FUCKING HYPOCRITES!!!!

And that's what should happen to them: they should be DIPPED in SHIT then TARRED and FEATHERED!

Even Beacon Hill Republicans, who routinely argue for tax cuts, say they find it difficult to support the elimination of the income tax.

That is why I WILL VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS and will vote THIRD PARTY EVERY CHANCE I GET -- even if the candidate is a SOCIALIST or NAZI!!! NO DEMOCRATS and NO REPUBLICANS ANYMORE!!!!!!!

Rick Lord, president of the business group Associated Industries of Massachusetts, said this week that the cuts would be so catastrophic that lawmakers would have to overturn the question if it's approved by voters.

Does Bastille Day mean anything to you guys down there?

If lawmakers balk at following the will of voters, it wouldn't be the first time. Republican Gov. Paul Cellucci -- frustrated by unsuccessful effort to lower the income tax -- pushed for a ballot question in 2000 to cut the state income tax rate, then 5.75 percent, down to 5 percent over three years.

The question was overwhelmingly approved by voters. But after the state's economy tanked in 2001-2002, lawmakers decided to freeze the rate at 5.3 percent. In 1998, voters approved a Clean Elections law to provide public campaign dollars for candidates who agree to limit the amount of money they raise and spend on campaigns.

Lawmakers, led by then-House Speaker Thomas Finneran, refused to fund the law. Supporters appealed to the state's highest court and won a ruling allowing them to auction off public property to pay candidates who had qualified for funds.

To stop the auctions, the Legislature agreed to fund the law for one year and put a nonbinding question back on the ballot. The wording of the second question -- "Do you support taxpayer money being used to fund political campaigns for public office in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts?" -- virtually guaranteed it would be rejected. Lawmakers then killed it in 2003.

Oh, don't you just love the DIRTY GAMES the LOVABLE LIBERALS of Massachusetts play to LOOT your WALLET, taxpayers?!!!

In the end, lawmakers are hoping they'll be spared messy choices, and there are indications voters may not want to eliminate the income tax.

Translation: The MACHINES and SCANNERS have been RIGGED!!!

--MORE--"

Now, the question (and title) of this blog remains: Do I purchase a Boston Globe today?

You will have your answer in a few hours, readers.
