"Dalai Lama: Tibetan life under China 'hell on earth'; Sharp speech, rallies mark 1959 revolt" by Emily Wax, Washington Post | March 11, 2009

DHARMSALA, India - Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, told his followers yesterday that the Tibetan culture, religion, and identity face extinction and that residents of Tibet were living in "hell on earth."

No, sir; that would be a few thousand miles to your west -- in PALESTINE!!!

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning pacifist made the unusually pointed comments in a speech on the 50th anniversary of a failed Tibetan uprising. He spoke to thousands of Buddhist monks and nuns, young mothers with babies on their backs, and Tibetan schoolchildren who gathered in this Himalayan town, which is the base of the Tibetan government-in-exile.

I know it is painful, readers; however, the guy is a CIA asset. That explains why the college loved the guy, and the overwhelmingly positive coverage that guy gets in the AmeriKan MSM!

Followers also held somber candle-light vigils to mark widespread protests last year that became the most violent revolt by Tibetans since the 1980s.

"Even today, Tibetans in Tibet live in constant fear, and the Chinese authorities remain constantly suspicious of them," the 73-year-old Dalai Lama said. "Their religion, culture, language, identity are near extinction."

PALESTINE!!!

While his words were strong, he was also careful to say that he continues to be hopeful about the Tibetan cause. He said he still believes in nonviolence and wants only "meaningful autonomy" under Chinese sovereignty, known as the "Middle Way."

Why must he reaffirm that, huh?

The Tibetan government-in-exile says 220 Tibetans died in last year's March protests and nearly 7,000 were detained in demonstrations in Tibet and in Tibetan communities in three surrounding provinces. The Chinese government says 22 people died in Lhasa, most of them Chinese civilians.

The level of violence shook the Dalai Lama's peaceful movement, exposing the impatience of many young Tibetans. Although he has received international acclaim, turning Tibet into a celebrity cause and writing best-selling books, his movement seems stuck, some analysts say....

So what's Israel's excuse then? And why do I sense our agent provocateurs in the peaceful pacifist's camp, huh?

Of course, if true, the cover-up MSM would let you know all about it, right, instead of fawning over this fraud?

Although it was difficult to know what was happening inside Tibet, because there is little access for journalists, Chinese state media reported that paramilitary police and soldiers fanned out across cities and villages in Tibet and in restive western China, on the alert for possible unrest. Internet and mobile phone text-messaging services were cut.

Doesn't seem to be an issue when it comes to GAZA!

In Washington, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California and longtime supporter of Tibet, introduced a resolution to Congress that would urge China to end its repression of the Tibetan plateau. "The situation in Tibet challenges the conscience of the world," Pelosi said.

No, that would be PALESTINE and GAZA, you s***-puke!!!!

Protests against Chinese rule over Tibet were held across the globe yesterday, from Paris and Warsaw to Canberra, Australia. In New York City, more than a thousand Tibetans and their supporters marched through eight blocks, chanting "we want free Tibet" and saying they wanted to speak up for a silenced people. The march ended with a rally near the United Nations and the Chinese Consulate, the Associated Press reported.

There goes the SELECTIVE, AMNESIATIC MSM again with their PROTEST COVERAGE!

Of course, they are IGNORIONG the ANTI-TAX PROTESTS across this country!

Instead, we get MORE S*** SWILL!!!

"Dalai Lama to help launch MIT's spiritual center" by James F. Smith, Globe Staff | March 11, 2009

MIT is creating a center to promote ethical behavior and leadership inspired by the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader who will speak at its inaugural conference April 30, Tendin Priyadarshi, the center's director, said yesterday....

So being a CIA asset is ethical now?

The Dalai Lama's address at Kresge Auditorium is titled "Ethics and Enlightened Leadership."

Later that day, composer Philip Glass will give a benefit concert on behalf of the new center. The Dalai Lama's talk and Glass's performance in the auditorium, both ticketed events, will culminate 10 days of public talks by prominent scientists, ethicists, and psychologists on personal ethics and responsibility.

This is gross!

The Dalai Lama will be in the Boston area for four days. Tibetan community activists in the area have organized two public events for him on May 2 at Gillette Stadium. Priyadarshi discussed the center's launch on the same day that the Dalai Lama, speaking in India, criticized Chinese rule over Tibet on the 50th anniversary of a failed uprising that drove him into exile.

In an address to supporters in Dharmsala, the Nobel Peace laureate called Chinese rule "hell on earth" for Tibetans. He complained of a harsh crackdown since Tibetan demonstrations were suppressed last year. In a previous visit to MIT in 2003, the Dalai Lama, 73, took part in a forum with 22 scientists, in which panels considered both Buddhist and scientific approaches to understanding the human mind.

Priyadarshi said the new center is being established in the spirit of that "mind and life" meeting and will study issues of ethics and leadership in ways that are relevant for the secular and business worlds in an era of economic crisis.

I'd like to hear him scold the looters, just once. I mean, we are talking about a guy who MET WITH the MASS-MURDERER and WAR CRIMINAL George W. Bush!!

That should give you an IDEA of the DL's ETHICS, no?

"In the last 100 years, we have developed a more myopic vision of life." Priyadarshi said. "The business world sees things in terms of three to five years. We are losing sight of what we pass on to the next generation. People need to recognize that the so-called recession was preceded by a recession in ethics and human values."

What BABBLE!!!! NOT HERE, bud!!!!!

Among the themes the center will consider, he said, are the nature of philanthropy: "What prompts people to become more generous or more fearful of things?" Priyadarshi said. "We want to look into whether a person can be trained to be generous or happy or more compassionate."

Pffft!

He said the center would offer a range of short courses and public programs, designed to engage the Boston community, as well as MIT.

Translation: they have a propaganda program in place.

Now the fortune inside:

Of course, the DL CONVENIENTLY takes the FOCUS AWAY from the U.S. SPYING on CHINA!!!

BEIJING - China responded sharply yesterday to Washington's accusations over a confrontation at sea, an incident that analysts said could become more common as Beijing strengthens its navy and asserts claims to adjacent waters....

Yeah, it is ALWAYS the OTHER GUY that is being "aggressive" in my USraeli War Daily!

The latest confrontation between US surveillance craft and Chinese coastal defenses took place in international waters in the South China Sea about 75 miles south of China's Hainan Island, the home of numerous Chinese naval installations.

But the CHINESE WERE OVERREACTING! Imagine if a CHINESE NAVY VESSEL encroached upon an AMERICAN COASTAL CITY! We'd be at war already!

Observers said Beijing appeared to be asserting its claim to refuse rights to foreign navies wanting to carry out surveillance within its 200-mile exclusive economic zone. The zone, under international law, gives a state certain rights over the use of natural resources there. Shen Dingli, director of the Center of American Studies at Shanghai's Fudan University, said China wants to exert control in the waters beyond economic interests.

Why not? USrael views the WHOLE WORLD as fair game!

"China considers that international law only allows innocent passage for military vessels in its zone, not activities that could be considered to have a military purpose," he said.

That clashes with one of the cardinal principles of America's doctrine of ocean navigation: the right to unrestricted passage in international waters as long as vessels are not encroaching on the economic interests of the country it is passing.

Oh, the CHINESE are CLASHING with OUR PRINCIPLES, huh?

And what does INTERNATIONAL LAW say?

While the United States has offered talks, neither side appears willing to compromise.

China has recorded at least 200 instances of US vessels collecting intelligence in China's exclusive economic zone, but generally chose to avoid confrontation, said Guan Jianqiang, an international law expert at Shanghai's East China University of Politics and Law.

Translation: the PATIENT CHINESE raell have to be PUSHED into CONFRONTATION -- which fits with every Chinese person I've ever met or known.

Now, rabid, violent, aggressive Amurkns on the other hand....

The latest incident had overtones of spycraft, but the US ship is not, strictly speaking, a spy ship. It maps the ocean floor, compiling information the Navy can use to steer its submarines or track those of other nations.

Yeah, it's NOT a SPY SHIP because TECHNICALLY, WE SAY IT AIN'T!!!!

Hainan hosts numerous naval and air force installations and is the home of Beijing's newest submarine base. An overall naval upgrade is adding advanced missile and possibly one or more aircraft carriers in coming years.

Yes, AmeriKa was SPYING on the CHINESE -- a fact my NEWSPAPER is OBFUSCATING and COVERING UP!

Update:

WASHINGTON - The United States and China agreed yesterday on the need to reduce tensions and avoid a repeat of a confrontation between American and Chinese vessels in the South China Sea, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said....

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi plans to meet today with President Obama and his national security adviser, James Jones. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said he expects the naval dispute will be discussed....

The countries are still at odds over the exact circumstances.

And what would those be, piece-o-crap paper?
