Obama's Amnesty

How many more positions is this "change" agent going to take that is CONTRARY to what the American people want, huh?

"Obama puts immigration reform on docket

On his very full plate, immigration was one issue that President Obama had yet to take on - until yesterday, when he discussed it with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

At a town hall meeting in southern California yesterday, Obama renewed his support for comprehensive reform, including a possible path to citizenship for law-abiding people who entered the country illegally, along the lines of the bill that stalled in Congress in 2007.

According to the White House account of yesterday's one-hour closed session, it was "a robust and strategic meeting" in which Obama announced he will go to Mexico next month to meet President Calderón and discuss, among other issues, effective, comprehensive immigration reform.

After the meeting, Representative Luis V. Gutierrez of Illinois, chairman of the Hispanic caucus's immigration task force, and advocacy groups said they were hopeful that Obama would address immigration reform this year.

"Although it is very early in his administration, he understands that for the immigrant community it's the 11th hour, and there is no time to waste," Gutierrez said in a statement.

Janet Murguía, president and CEO of the National Council of La Raza, added, "While we agree that our priority should be fixing the nation's economy, we also believe that we can initiate an immigration reform that will help us achieve long-term economic growth."

U.S. Planning to Invade Mexico

"Obama wants to boost effort on Southwest border; Hopes to reduce drug cartel crime" by Devlin Barrett and Eileen Sullivan, Associated Press | March 19, 2009

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration is preparing to send federal agents to the Southwest border as reinforcements in the fight against Mexican drug cartels, even as officials consider taking money from one immigration enforcement program and using it to fight cartel-related crime.

That "drug war" -- everyone knows it is CIA and government that are the biggest drug-runners in the world, using their black ops to fund black budgets and prop up banks with drug money -- serves a multitude of state sins, doesn't it?

The deployments are part of President Obama's first moves to boost federal security on the US side of the border. The nation's top law enforcement officer, Attorney General Eric Holder, told reporters yesterday that he would visit Mexico in early April to meet with Mexico's president and attorney general about cartel violence.

"Our two nations are bound by more than just a common border and we want to make sure that the fate of Mexico turns out to be a good one, because that will have a residual good impact on the United States," Holder said. Obama is also scheduled to visit Mexico next month.

Immigration officials are considering asking Congress for approval to shift tens of millions of dollars from enforcing workplace immigration laws to the anti- cartel efforts along the Southwest border, according to a person familiar with the discussions who spoke on condition of anonymity because officials have not made the request to Congress.

(Blog author just astounded at how globalists get both sides of the stick)

Such a request could face stiff resistance from lawmakers who want that money spent investigating employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants....

What, this roll-over Congress resist?

Over the weekend, hundreds of Mexican Army troops arrived in Juarez, a border city across the Rio Grande from El Paso. Police in Juarez have been swamped by drug violence. The move brought the number of soldiers patrolling Juarez to around 7,000. Warring drug cartels are blamed for more than 560 kidnappings in Phoenix in 2007 and the first half of 2008, as well as killings in Atlanta, Birmingham, Ala., and Vancouver.

Update:

MEXICO CITY - Mexico's military has captured the security and operations chief of the nation's most powerful drug cartel, officials said yesterday, delivering another punishing blow only weeks after US officials rounded up hundreds of cartel members north of the border....

They ought to know where to look; they work for them.

Last month US President Obama's administration announced that investigators had arrested 755 Sinaloa cartel members in cities and towns all over the United States....

Another benefit to open borders -- in addition to the illegal work force depressing wages.

"This significantly affects the organization's ability to operate and distribute drugs," said Ricardo Cabrera, who runs the terrorism and drug trafficking unit in Mexico's attorney general's office.

Yeah, whatever, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!

The Sinaloa cartel has been accused of paying off top Mexican security officials, including the country's former drug czar, Noe Ramirez, who is accused of accepting $450,000 to tip cartel leaders to police operations.

General Oliver said police and military personnel were closely watching the exclusive Lomas del Pedregal neighborhood after receiving complaints about armed men in cars. They managed to surprise Zambada and his five bodyguards and arrest them without a shot, seizing three AR-15 semiautomatic assault rifles, three pistols, three cars, and several thousand dollars in cash.

Ismael Zambada's brother, Jesus Zambada, known as "The King," was arrested last year in Mexico City and accused of helping smuggle cocaine and methamphetamines through the Mexico City airport. He also is under investigation for taking part in the killing of top police officials in Mexico City. The other two known Sinaloa cartel leaders at large are Joaquin Guzman Loera and Ignacio Coronel Villarreal.

Mexican officials issued a $5 million reward for tips leading to Guzman's capture after he escaped from a prison in 2001 hidden in a laundry truck. Forbes Magazine recently ranked Guzman as one of the world's richest men, with an estimated $1 billion fortune.
