"Car bomb explosion kills 41 in Baghdad neighborhood" by Sameer N. Yacoub, Associated Press | May 21, 2009
BAGHDAD - A car bomb exploded yesterday near several restaurants in a Shi'ite neighborhood of northwest Baghdad, killing 41 people and injuring more than 70, police and hospital officials said.
No group claimed responsibility for the horrific blast but the style and location of the attack suggested it was carried out by Sunni extremists, such as Al Qaeda in Iraq, in an apparent bid to rekindle sectarian warfare as the United States draws down forces in the capital.
Doesn't make sense; please check the provided link.
The blast appeared timed for maximum civilian casualties, going off about 7 p.m. when many Baghdad residents take advantage of cooler evening temperatures for shopping and dining in outdoor kebab restaurants....
And CUI BONO?
Police said the blast happened in Shula, a sprawling neighborhood which had been a stronghold of Shiite militias including the Mahdi Army during the height of sectarian fighting two years ago.
Could be an Iraqi government team hitting an enemy.
A witness who gave only his nickname Abu Ahmed, or "Father of Ahmed," said a small truck carrying vegetables parked near a restaurant at Sadrain Square and the driver disappeared. After five minutes, the car exploded, killing men, women and children.
Also yesterday, three US soldiers were wounded in north Baghdad in a blast from a type of weapon which the US military believes is manufactured in Iran and smuggled from Iran.
Pffft! I'm so sick of the s*** propaganda from the lying US media.

That's one hell of a car bomb!
BAGHDAD - Bombers struck in Baghdad and a northern city yesterday, killing three American soldiers and nearly two dozen Iraqis in a new spasm of violence that has taken at least 66 lives in two days.
A spate of attacks since April seems aimed at stoking sectarian tension and undermining public confidence only weeks before US combat troops are due to leave....
Yeah, we know what all this is, CUI BONO?
Although recent violence has not risen to the levels of two years ago, it has fueled public unease about whether Iraq's army and police can maintain the security gains since the 2007 US troop surge.
Then we will just have to stay, right?
Most of the attacks this year have been on Shi'ite targets, suggesting that Al Qaeda and other Sunni Arab extremists are trying to rekindle sectarian fighting....
Did you check the tortured logic link? Thank you.
The deadliest blast yesterday occurred in an outdoor market in Baghdad's Dora district, when a bomb exploded near a US foot patrol, US and Iraqi officials said. US officials said three soldiers were killed and an undisclosed number of Americans were wounded. Iraqi police said 12 civilians also were killed and 25 were wounded. The Iraqis spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not supposed to release the information.
Khalil Hamza, a college student who lives near the market, said he noticed four passengers in a white car watching the Americans as they walked through the area. After the blast, he saw the car speed away with three men inside. Earlier yesterday, seven Sunni paramilitaries were killed and eight were wounded when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives as they stood in line waiting to be paid at a military base in the northern city of Kirkuk, police Major Salam Zankana said.
Sami Ghayashi, 37, who was among the wounded in Kirkuk, said: "I have no idea how this suicide bomber got among us."
I do: INSIDE JOB!
Also yesterday, a bomb exploded in a trash container inside a Baghdad police station, killing three policemen and wounding 19 others, an Iraqi police official said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity. The attacks occurred a day after a car bomb exploded near a group of restaurants in a Shi'ite neighborhood of northwest Baghdad, killing 41 and wounding more than 70.
Despite those attacks, security in Baghdad remains much better than a few years ago, when the rumble of explosions reverberated daily through the city.
Yeah, strange how that ebbs and flows -- and ALWAYS SEEMS to BACK UP or ADVANCE the U.S. AGENDA!
In recent months, violence has been cyclical, with periods of calm punctuated by brief series of high-profile attacks. But the limited attacks have stoked public anger over the failure of Iraqi security forces to prevent attacks.
That's how you explain away false flags and propaganda, readers.

What about those we kill, readers?
"Ex-soldier gets life for Iraq rampage" by Associated Press | May 22, 2009
PADUCAH, Ky. - An ex-soldier convicted of raping and killing an Iraqi teenager and murdering her family was spared the death penalty yesterday and will serve a life sentence....
I say we bury him up to his neck in the desert and start hucking rocks.
In a March 2006 attack in Mahmoudiya, about 20 miles south of Baghdad, Green and three other soldiers went to the home of 14-year-old Abeer Qassim al-Janabi. Green shot and killed the teenager's mother, father, and sister, then became the third soldier to rape the girl before killing her.
Green's lawyers never denied Green's involvement in the attack. Instead, they argued that Green's unit was under unusual stress and lacked leadership....
And what do you think Iraqis are under -- other than six feet of dirt?
