Sticking It to China

Some of you may be thinking "This guy sees western conspiracies everywhere."

Most of the time, yeah (false flags taught me a lesson), and because you have to ask the question cui bono; however, in this case it either is a covert plot to destabilize China's western frontier so it will be that much more difficult to help Iran and Pakistan in the coming WWIII.

Either that or the Chinese authorities are intentionally lying to increase police presence (at the risk of disharmony?).

Or who knows; maybe it is just some lone nut running around with a needle, right?

"Syringe gang attacks set off protest in China city ravaged by July riots" by Christopher Bodeen, Associated Press | September 4, 2009

BEIJING - Hundreds of Chinese protested deteriorating public safety yesterday after a series of mysterious syringe attacks further unnerved residents in the western Chinese city of Urumqi, where ethnic rioting in July killed nearly 200 people.

People living near the city center reached by telephone said hundreds, possibly thousands, of members of China’s Han majority marched peacefully. They waved Chinese flags, confronted local Communist Party leaders to demand they step down, and shouted “severely punish the hooligans’’ - a reference to the July 5 rioters.

What is with the Chinese and their protesting, huh, Amurkns? You should be ashamed.

The demonstration underscored public jitters and lingering grievances despite the city’s still-high police presence. It also posed a challenge for the Beijing leadership and for a propaganda drive portraying Urumqi and all of China as harmonious ahead of the 60th anniversary of communist rule on Oct. 1.

You see?

Just like the "Al-CIA-Duh" flare up during the Olympics, another Chinese party spoiled as the jewsmedia casts rocks.

Cui bono?

July’s riot, in which ethnic Muslims first set upon Hans, who then retaliated with vigilante attacks, was the worst communal violence in a decade in Xinjiang, an often tense frontier region with valuable oil and gas deposits.

Yeah, ANOTHER BY-PRODUCT for covert western interests!

Yesterday’s protest came after days of rumors that gangs roamed the city stabbing mostly Han people with hypodermic needles, scaring residents.

Gee, WHO BENEFITS from RUMORS and NEEDLE-WIELDING GANGS, 'eh?

City officials and state media confirmed the attacks, saying 21 had been detained. A report read on Xinjiang TV’s newscast yesterday said 476 people sought treatment for stabbing, though only 89 had obvious signs of being pricked....

I'm feeling a little jab from the MSM, too!

No motives for the attacks were given....

Concern about the stabbings may be high because Xinjiang has the highest rate of AIDS virus infection in China....

Depopulation plan?

Yesterday, demonstrators headed for the site of the Urumqi Trade Fair, where staff were evacuated. Protesters shoved police, and a few in the crowd were beaten, said resident Zhao Jianzhuang. A Han, Zhao said he joined the demonstrators at a downtown intersection where they were blocked by riot police from marching on People’s Square.

The mostly Han demonstrators seemingly took care not to rile ethnic grievances, calling out “maintain ethnic unity’’ and venting their anger on local officials.

Yeah, so WHO would WANT to STIR UP ETHNIC DISSENSION and WHY?!!!!!

They called for the ouster of Xinjiang party secretary Wang Lequan, an ally of President Hu Jintao. Trying to head off trouble, Wang and the Urumqi party secretary, Li Zhi, separately talked to the demonstrators, who called for better police protection and demanded they step down, an editor at a local newspaper said.

The official Xinhua News Agency confirmed the protest, saying people assembled at several places, including more than 1,000 in the central residential area of Xiaoximen, to demand a “security guarantee’’ from authorities after the syringe attacks.

Protests have become a spiraling concern for Chinese leaders, with tens of thousands annually and growing larger and more violent in recent years.

What? After all we have been told about China, they HAVE FREEDOM of PROTEST?

And the GOVERNMENT is ACTUALLY WORRIED?

So who is doing such things?

"Separatists are blamed in needle attacks; China moves to curb protests" by Christopher Bodeen, Associated Press | September 5, 2009

URUMQI, China - The country’s security chief blamed Muslim separatists yesterday for a string of bizarre needle attacks that drew thousands of angry protesters into the streets....

"Al-CIA-Duh" agents?

Police fired tear gas to break up continuing protests by thousands of Han Chinese, the country’s majority ethnic group, underscoring how unsettled Urumqi remains despite a massive security crackdown....

The Xinjiang region, of which Urumqi is the capital, has for decades faced a simmering separatist movement by Uighurs, a largely Muslim ethnic group....

I read at one time that it was the most peaceful western region, but that was just once, so....

"until the melee on Sunday, Urumqi had been one of the calmer parts of the West."

Huh!

"China fires local officials amid unrest; Street protests continue in volatile region" by Christopher Bodeen, Associated Press | September 6, 2009

URUMQI, China - Chinese leaders bowed to public demands and fired the head of a western city wracked by communal violence and a bizarre string of needle attacks, hoping to calm uneasy mobs and end protests that percolated for a third day yesterday.

The removal of Urumqi’s Communist Party Secretary Li Zhi came amid reports of police again dispersing crowds outside Urumqi’s government offices using tear gas and more unconfirmed reports of hypodermic needle attacks, including one on an 11-year-old boy in a downtown square.

Unconfirmed?

The city’s chief prosecutor gave further details about four people arrested over the attacks, but offered little to back up the government’s claims that they were part an organized campaign to spread terror.

Oh, isn't that rich from the cover up 9/11 crew of the AmeriKan MSM!

Now I DO THINK it is a covert plan by U.S. agents just because of the way the reporter wrote it!

Protesters marched by the thousands last week demanding the resignation of Li and his boss, Xinjiang party secretary Wang Lequan, for failing to provide adequate public safety. Also removed from office was the police chief of Xinjiang, whose capital is Urumqi.

An Urumqi government spokeswoman and the official Xinhua News Agency gave no reasons for the changes. But July’s riot was the worst communal violence in more than a decade in Xinjiang, where Uighur separatists have waged a sporadically violent campaign for a homeland.

So the WEST WANTS to SPLIT IT OFF for OIL and GAS purposes, huh?

Renewed protests last week underscored the difficulties authorities were having in reasserting control....

It wasn’t clear whether protesters would be assuaged and two key demands - an end to the syringe attacks and the swift punishment of those responsible for the July rioting - have yet to be met. A show of force by thousands of troops restored calm to much of the city.

Paramilitary police manned checkpoints around government and party offices and put up barricades backed by tanks at entrances to a heavily Uighur neighborhood - a sign that officials were worried the mainly Han protesters might try to storm in....

"Official’s dismissal calms China city" by Associated Press | September 7, 2009

We shall see how long it lasts.

URUMQI, China - The ouster of the head of a western Chinese city shaken by ethnic violence and a bizarre string of needle attacks appeared to ease public anger yesterday after three days of protests.

Although security was still heavy in Urumqi, capital of China’s westernmost region of Xinjiang, many paramilitary troops had withdrawn from positions around the city. State television showed local officials visiting residents to reassure them of their safety and hear grievances.

The removal of Li Zhi, Urumqi’s Communist Party secretary, occurred after protesters marched by the thousands Thursday and Friday demanding the resignation of Li and his boss, Wang Lequan, party secretary of Xinjiang, for failing to provide adequate public safety against the syringe attacks. Also removed was the police chief of Xinjiang.

Urumqi, has been on edge since ethnic riots in early July between the majority Han Chinese and the native, largely Muslim Uighurs. Nearly 200 were killed, the government has said....

The riots in July were the worst communal violence in more than a decade in Xinjiang. The protests in the past week underscored the difficulties authorities have had in reasserting control.

Seems like I've read that before (but not the oil and gas part, hmmm).

Propaganda trucks continued to broadcast that the needle attacks were part of an organized separatist plot to spread terror, but gave no evidence to back up the claim.

We have propaganda trucks here in America; they deliver newspapers.

"New needle attacks reported in China" by Associated Press | September 12, 2009

BEIJING - Mystery needle attacks appeared to spread in China’s far western region as authorities arrested nine new suspects in three cities, officials said yesterday.

The suspects were recently detained in the Xinjiang region cities of Hotan, Altay, and Kashgar in connection with alleged attacks involving hypodermic needles, a press officer at the Xinjiang government press center in the provincial capital Urumqi said yesterday....

Since last week, more than 500 people in Urumqi have reported attacks, though only about 100 showed evidence of being pricked. The stabbings led to mass demonstrations by tens of thousands of ethnic Han Chinese earlier this month against what they said was a government that can’t guarantee their safety....

I know how they feel.

The violence exposed the long-term rifts between Muslim Uighurs, a Turkic-speaking ethnic minority, and the Han Chinese, who are the majority group in China....

Reports of the needle attacks emerged several weeks ago, though the size and scale remain unclear.

"3 Uighurs convicted in syringe attacks

BEIJING - Three people were sentenced to up to 15 years in prison after being convicted of attacking people with syringes in Urumqi, the capital of the western region of Xinjiang, according to Xinhua, the state news agency. It was the first sentencing of suspects accused of being involved in a series of syringe attacks over several weeks in August and September (New York Times)."
