Heralding the End of Newspapers

Bye. I won't be purchasing a newspaper anymore, nor will I pay for web content.

Globe Employees Applaud a Rapist

I'm NOT PAYING TWICE for a pile of divisive, distorted, omitting, obfuscating, agenda-pushing, war-promoting, enemy-creating, Muslim-hating, Zionist piece of propaganda.

And just in case you are not convinced, here is exhibit A
:

Charges in balloon case may come next week

So now we are on a SIXTH DAY of coverage, MSM?

I sure as hell ain't paying for that!

"Herald considering website fee" by Johnny Diaz, Globe Staff | October 20, 2009

The Boston Herald may charge for access to its website as early as next year, according to the paper.

Speaking on a local media panel yesterday, Herald owner and publisher Patrick J. Purcell said a paid subscription for his paper’s online content is likely. But he also acknowledged that it would be difficult to do it alone. “If the Globe doesn’t do it, then it would be hard for us to do it,’’ Purcell told the Herald....

Globe spokesman Robert Powers said the Globe has no plans for charging for content on its website, Boston.com, “but we continue to review online pay models that would generate new revenue streams.’’

As more advertisers and readers migrate to the Internet and as newspapers’ print circulation drops, many news outlets are evaluating ways to charge for access to content on their websites without driving traffic away....

Well, seeing as I AM THE ONE DRIVING TRAFFIC TO THEM, this seems MOST UNGRATEFUL!

One local media observer said he believes that most papers will eventually charge some kind of website fee.

“The question is, who goes first?’’ said Lou Ureneck, chairman of Boston University’s school of journalism. “It would be very difficult for the Boston Herald to put its content behind a pay wall if The Boston Globe doesn’t. We will start to see newspapers stepping forward very soon. It’s inevitable. It’s the only way to sustain these (news) organizations,’’ Ureneck said.

Then MAYBE THEY SHOULD TAKE their LYING AGENDA-PUSHING and DIE!

We would ALL BE BETTER OFF!!!

FLASHBACK
:

.... “The purpose of journalism is to provide people with the information they need to be free and self-governing,’’ say the authors.

Then AMERIKA'S NEWSPAPERS have been a TREMENDOUS FAILURE!!!!!!!

The statement ALSO HELPS EXPLAIN the POPULARITY of BLOGS!!!!!

The book begins a list of journalism’s core values: Journalism’s first obligation is to the truth; its first responsibility is to citizens; its essence is the discipline of verification.

STRIKE ONE, STRIKE TWO, STRIKE THREE, AmeriKan newspapers!

Otherwise, I wouldn't be on here so upset every day!

Now, there’s an ad campaign I’m looking forward to.....

Oh, "journalism" is now going to need an AD CAMPAIGN????

Well, the ESSENCE of ADVERTISING and MARKETING is to get you to BUY SOMETHING you DON'T NEED or WANT -- hardly the TRUTH this agenda-pushing puke is talking about!!!!

When the creative talent gathers at some ad agency to begin the future campaign, I can think of no better place for them to begin their brainstorming on value than with the little book by Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel, “The Elements of Journalism.’’

Ad campaign for what?

MSM Monitor To Shut Down By End of Year

This transformation may be one of the best things that has happened to journalism in a long time.

Oh, I AGREE!! Then BLOGS can TAKE OVER because NO ONE IS GOING TO PAY for MSM SHIT-SLOP!!!!!

For way too long, journalists have assumed the value of what they produce.

Here is what they produce, readers: AmeriKan Breakfast

Do YOU see any VALUE THERE?

But as good marketers know, value can not be assumed - it has to be identified, explained, reinforced, and related to the lives of people who are putting down their money.

If THAT isn't the ESSENCE of the AGENDA-PUSHING Boston Globe.

Oh, in that case, the Globe's coverage of everything is perfectly understandable.

Also see: Memorializing 9/11

And WHY WOULD the paper have to "market" itself if it was TELLING the TRUTH and GIVING PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANTED, huh?

If PAPERS WERE DOING THAT, wouldn't people be PAYING for them?

And I ALREADY PASS BY the NYT -- the paper, the purchase, the website.

I DON'T EVEN LIKE TOUCHING a NYT anymore.

"N.Y. Times to cut 100 newsroom jobs" by Associated Press | October 20, 2009

NEW YORK - The New York Times said yesterday it will cut 100 newsroom jobs and an unspecified number elsewhere amid industrywide declines in advertising revenue....

What, after they "reported second-quarter net income of $39.1 million?"

The Times, flagship of The New York Times Co., which also owns The Boston Globe, cut its newsroom workforce by 100 positions last year mostly through buyouts. Even with the latest cuts, amounting to 8 percent of the newsroom staff, the Times has the largest newsgathering staff of any US newspaper. The cuts would leave the paper with about 1,150 reporters and editors.

And they still churn out such garbage?

The Times already trimmed about 100 positions from its business operations this spring and plans additional cuts. The newspaper would not say how many. The business side now employs about 1,850. Newspapers have been seeing sharp declines in ad revenue from their printed editions, and Web advertising hasn’t grown fast enough to make up the difference....

Message: NO ONE LIKES a LIAR, MSM!!

“They’re really starting to cut into the newsroom now, which is unfortunate,’’ said Bill O’Meara, head of the New York Newspaper Guild, the newspaper’s largest union....

Well, that all depends.

Aren't LESS LIES OUT THERE a GOOD THING?

And I AM AT the point now where PURCHASING the PAPER is NOT WORTH IT!

There are SO MANY ITEMS I am passing by and so many agenda-pushing lies that it isn't even worth it.
