"After-school worker pleads not guilty to charge he raped 9-year-old" by Travis Andersen, Globe Staff | April 9, 2010
A Cambridge after-school worker is facing a charge that he raped a child at a private home.
Christopher Bradshaw, 24, of Cambridge pleaded not guilty yesterday to one count of child rape, the Middlesex district attorney’s office said in a statement....
Authorities allege Bradshaw assaulted a 9-year-old boy on April 1 in the home of the child’s mother, who was hosting a birthday party for a friend and who was also friends with Bradshaw.
A birthday he will never forget.
While the other adults were upstairs, Bradshaw went downstairs to watch television with the alleged victim and the boy’s sister, according to prosecutors.
The sister went to bed at about 11 p.m., leaving her brother asleep on a couch and Bradshaw on another couch, the statement said.
Authorities said that she saw Bradshaw assaulting her brother when she came back downstairs about 30 minutes later....
A call to a number listed for Bradshaw was not returned last night, and his relatives could not be reached. Nor could his attorney, Benjamin Selman, be reached for comment last night.
Come out, come out, wherever you are!
The case remains under investigation, the statement said.
Anyone with information is urged to call Cambridge police....

"Lowell bus driver charged with raping passenger
LOWELL, Mass. --A former Lowell school bus driver remains free on $10,000 bail after pleading not guilty to raping a 15-year-old passenger. Gian Carlos Mirabal was ordered by a Superior Court judge on Thursday to wear a monitoring device, have no contact with his alleged victim and surrender his passport after pleading not guilty to two counts of rape of a child with force and four counts of indecent assault and battery.
Why isn't he in jail?
Authorities say starting last fall, Mirabal would ask the eighth-grade girl to stay on the bus after dropping off other students, then drive to another area where the alleged assaults took place.
The Sun of Lowell reports that Mirabal's lawyer suggested the sexual contact may have been consensual between an immature 22-year-old man and a mature girl of nearly 16.
That WEAK-ASS EXCUSE just makes one ANGRIER!
