"Jealous rage allegedly became violent; Man, 26, accused of rampage" by John R. Ellement, Globe Staff | October 28, 2008
When Boston police arrived to investigate a reported act of domestic violence at a Beacon Hill residence last weekend, they heard something rustling in the bushes in front of the building.
Officers found "a small beige Chihuahua dog [less than two pounds] lying on its side and bleeding from one of its paws," according to a police report. "It was shaking and attempted to walk . . . but it was more of a crawl with it dragging one leg."
Authorities soon discovered that the dog belonged to a 20-year-old woman who alleges her boyfriend attacked her, trashed her apartment - and threw the dog into the apartment's walls several times.
Yesterday, Miguel Roberto Delpozo Castillo was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court, where he pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges, cruelty to animals, and other counts. Early Sunday, Castillo became jealous that his girlfriend of seven months had gone out with another man, so he went inside her apartment and began tearing the place apart.
Another ILLEGAL?
Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Vincent DeMore said he also punched and slapped the woman, with whom he has lived for the past two months. The violence escalated further and Castillo grabbed the dog and vowed to kill the animal, DeMore said. He then left the building with the dog - and also attacked the woman again - before tossing the dog out the window of a cab as he was driving away, according to a police report. The dog suffered a broken paw, the report said.
Castillo's attorney, Anne Rousseve, said that her client categorically denies attacking his girlfriend or her dog. Castillo is an Ecuadoran national who has been in the United States under a student visa for at least six years. --more--"
ALMOST! Time for a DEPORTATION, I'd say!
We don't need these kinds of students in our schools.
