Another Mossad Moving Company Framing Future Patsies?

Well, probably not, but you never know.

"Personal data lost in credit union’s move" by Todd Wallack, Globe Staff | August 4, 2009

Members Plus Credit Union said it recently discovered that a box containing account information for nearly 10,000 Massachusetts customers was lost during a move, according to a letter sent to the state Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.

The Medford credit union said it rented boxes from Rentacrate and hired Olympia Moving and Storage to manage the move last year.

Oh, sorry, wrong moving company!

On Sept. 19, Rentacrate notified the bank that one of the boxes was not returned. But bank staffers weren’t aware of any missing boxes, so they figured Rentacrate’s count was incorrect. On April 1, the bank discovered that a box containing unencrypted discs of account statement images was missing. The missing data included Social Security numbers for some former members of the credit union.

“We have now concluded that the box was inadvertently discarded during the move,’’ the company told the state in a May 28 letter, obtained by the Globe under the state Public Records Act. Companies are required to notify the state when personal data about residents are compromised. The credit union told the state it had “no evidence or reason to believe that the lost information had been misused, accessed or acquired by an unauthorized access.’’

If they can't "protect" your information why give it to them?
