"Town votes to host cleared Cuba detainees

Amherst voted to invite two men detained at Guantanamo Bay to resettle in the community, if they are cleared of terrorism ties and released. Town Meeting called on Congress Wednesday to repeal the ban on allowing cleared detainees to live in the United States. Selectman Gerry Weiss spoke in favor of granting asylum to cleared detainees to make amends for unjust suffering. But Stephanie O’Keeffe, chairwoman of the Board of Selectmen, said she is worried that the gesture could be misinterpreted as sympathy for terrorists (AP)."

Yeah, NEVER MIND the LIES BEHIND IT ALL!!!!

You SMART PEOPLE DOWN THERE should UNDERSTAND PHYSICS and how buildings can not fall down that way because of fire.

"UMass-Amherst cancels talk by ex-radical leader; Had been invited to speak at forum" by Abbie Ruzicka, Globe Correspondent | November 6, 2009

The University of Massachusetts at Amherst canceled an upcoming talk yesterday by Ray Luc Levasseur, a man once listed as one of the FBI’s most wanted criminals and the former leader of the radical revolutionary group United Freedom Front, said university spokesman Ed Blaguszewski.

Oh, he was part of SOME LEFT-WING OUTFIT, huh?

When I see LEFT WING I instantly think CONTROLLED OPPOSITION, folks!

Not that the "right" doesn't have them, but they are the only ones barking right now.

Representatives from Governor Deval Patrick’s office contacted the university to voice their disapproval upon learning of the event, which was scheduled to be held Nov. 12, according to a Patrick administration source. “The governor supports the decision of UMass officials to cancel the appearance,’’ Patrick spokesman Kyle Sullivan said in a prepared statement yesterday. “It was the right thing to do, out of respect to the families of the victims of these acts and our law enforcement community.’’

Levasseur was released from federal prison in Atlanta in 2004 after serving 18 years for his involvement in the radical group United Freedom Front, which plotted a series of bombings and bank robberies along the East Coast between 1976 and 1984....

So is this guy another government agent, or... ?

Would the MSM even tell us?

Levasseur was invited to the university on the 20th anniversary of his 1989 acquittal to speak at a forum discussing response to social and political unrest during the 1960s, Blaguszewski said.

Robert Cox, head of the Special Collections and University Archives at UMass-Amherst, said that continuing with the talk would have been “counterproductive.’’:

The UMass Libraries developed this forum as an opportunity to focus on terrorism, one of the most difficult social issues confronting the country; however, it is now clear that, given the strong reaction generated by this event, we can no longer achieve the kind of meaningful exchange intended.’’

"Police seek suspect in UMass sex assault

Police at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst are investigating an alleged sexual assault Tuesday in the main campus library. Police described the suspect as a man in his 20s to early 30s, about 5-foot-6 with brownish blond hair and wearing a gray sweat shirt and blue jeans. (AP)."
