America Opposes Obamacare

It's even in the skewed polling. That's why they are going to ram it through over the weekend when you are not looking.

What becomes increasingly clear is that Americans FAVOR a SINGLE-PAYER SYSTEM like ALL the OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE -- even if you have to READ THROUGH the MSM SLOP and SMOKESCREEN
-- and they DO NOT WANT WHAT THIS IS: a HEALTH TAX so they can PAY DOWN DEFICITS and MAKE INTEREST PAYMENTS on everything they have borrowed.

And America is unhappy and not fooled:

"Americans are squinting at fine print in health care

WASHINGTON - Americans are worried about hidden costs in the fine print of health care overhaul legislation, an Associated Press poll says, creating new challenges for President Obama as he tries to close the deal with a handful of Democratic doubters in the Senate.

The poll found that 43 percent opposed the health care plans being discussed in Congress, while 41 percent were in support and 15 percent neutral or undecided.

The survey, conducted by Stanford University with the nonprofit Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, found broad support for Obama’s goals, but skittishness when required trade-offs were brought into the equation. For example, while the public backed banning insurance practices that discriminate against those in poor health, when told that such a ban would probably cause most people to pay more for health insurance, 43 percent said they would still support doing away with preexisting condition denials, but 31 percent said they would oppose it.

Since when did LESS THAN A THIRD carry SO MUCH WEIGHT, huh?

Oh, right, keeping the wars going, bailing out banks, and doing everything else the American people are against.

More than 4 in 5 Americans now have health insurance, and their perceptions about costs are key as Obama tries to rally his party’s congressional majority. In the House, Democrats came together to pass their bill. In the Senate, Democratic liberals and a smaller group of moderates disagree on core questions as majority leader Harry Reid prepares to take legislation to the floor.

That will come below. Wait until you see that mess.

And the American people REALLY SURPRISE ME here
:

"US wealthy should pay for health care overhaul, poll finds; Data could boost House plan to tax top-tier earners" by Erica Werner and Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, Associated Press | November 18, 2009

WASHINGTON - Americans don’t want to shoulder the cost of President Obama’s health care overhaul themselves. They think the rich should pay for it....

Hey, they are handing out BILLIONS in BONUSES after getting TAXPAYER TRILLIONS so WHY NOT?

The survey, conducted by Stanford University with the nonpartisan Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, found survey participants sour on other ways of paying for the health overhaul....

That is the same survey as above.

The Senate Finance Committee bill.... 56 percent of the public opposed and only 29 percent in favor.... the only approach that drew majority support in the poll was a tax on upper-income Americans.

Instead YOU are going to get a TAX, average American, because they are going to MAKE YOU PAY one way or another!!

The poll tested views on an even more punitive taxation scheme that was under consideration earlier, when the tax would have hit people making more than $250,000 a year. Even at that level the poll showed majority support, with 57 percent in favor and 36 percent opposed. Overall, the poll - like others recently - found the public split on Congress’ health care plans. In response to some questions, participants said the current system needed to be changed, but they also voiced concerns about the impact on their pocketbooks.

Yeah, that's what we want.

No, we DO NOT WANT a PUBLIC OPTION that COSTS MORE than CRAPCARE INSURANCE!

For example, 77 percent said the cost of health care in the United States was higher than it should be, but 49 percent said any changes made by the government probably would cause them to pay more for health care.

You see, the AMERICAN PEOPLE KNOW!!

THAT is why they were ANGRY at TOWN HALL!

Not because they are haters, but because THEY KNOW the TRUTH!!!!

The Senate health care legislation expected this week is likely to include a new long-term care insurance program.... Known as the CLASS Act, the voluntary insurance program was a top priority for the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy. It would begin to close a gap in the social safety net that’s received little attention in the health care debate.

Oh, here we go!

You can't turn down this plan; it's got the dead man's name on it.

Related: Sunday Globe Censorship: The Costs of Healthcare

Well, I guess you helped with the little attention factor, huh, Globe?

Fiscal conservatives and government economists have questioned whether the program would be financially sustainable over the long run, and insurance companies are lobbying to strip it from the health care bill....

That never stopped Big Ted before.

The cost of nursing homes averages $70,000 a year, and a home care attendant runs about $29 an hour. Medicare only covers temporary nursing home stays.

Yeah, and you have to DIVEST of ALL ASSETS -- in other words, be totally poor -- before they pay! Yup, WE HAVE TRILLIONS for BANKS and WARS -- but when MOM NEEDS a HOME, pffft, up yours, Amurka!

Under the proposed program, people would pay a modest monthly premium during their working years. If they become disabled, they would get a cash benefit of at least $50 a day that could be used to pay a home care attendant, buy supplies and equipment, make home improvements such as adding bathroom railings, or defray the costs of nursing home care.

Are they kidding? For a CHUMP CHANGE $50 a DAY?!

You can't even keep the attendant around for two hours!!!

Yup, another CHISELING TAX HIDDEN inside this MONSTROSITY!

The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the program would be fiscally solvent over a 75-year-period with the income from premiums, and no taxpayer financing. That assumes an initial monthly premium averaging $123, and a $75 daily benefit.

First they said $50, and you would be paying in about $30 a WEEK?!!!!

People would sign up for the program at work through a payroll deduction and would have to pay premiums for five years before they could qualify for benefits.

WASHINGTON - Senate majority leader Harry Reid unveiled his long-awaited version of a sweeping health care bill last night, setting the stage for a tense Senate showdown pitting Republicans against a fragile and fractured Democratic majority.

The proposal would expand coverage to most Americans and is predicted to cut the deficit by $127 billion over 10 years, a benefit Senate leaders hoped would help it attract fiscally conservative moderates who will decide the bill’s fate. It also includes a so-called public option, a government-backed insurance plan in states that want one, a concession to liberals.

Bend over, liberals.

Related: No Public Option Until 2013

Actually, none at all.

With President Obama calling for a bill to be sent to his desk by the end of the year, Reid is hoping to bring the historic health care package up for a test vote on Saturday.

Yeah, ONCE AGAIN JAM IT THROUGH LATE on a SATURDAY NIGHT!!

Aides to Reid said he hoped to have the 60 votes required to begin the unpredictable floor debate, which could last weeks. The handful of moderate senators who will decide the question seemed likely to support opening the debate. But, in a testament to the tremendous political difficulty ahead for the president’s top domestic policy initiative, Reid spent more than an hour yesterday giving three moderate Democrat fence-sitters a special closed-door briefing on the bill, and ad ministration officials, including Vice President Joe Biden, met separately with senators to sell it....

Well, whatever you are cooking up behind those doors it SMELLS LIKE YOU-KNOW-WHAT and WE AIN'T BUYIN'!!!!!!

The proposal is similar in many ways to the bill the House passed earlier this month, and to the law that Massachusetts enacted in 2006.

Oh, is THAT WHAT YOU WANT, America?

Is our template what you really want?

It would require almost everyone to have insurance, penalize employers who failed to provide affordable coverage to their employees, and prohibit insurers from discriminating against people because of preexisting medical conditions. On the issue of abortion coverage, the Senate bill is less restrictive than the House version. It would dramatically expand Medicaid for the poor.

As it CUTS FUNDING FOR IT!!!!

Low- and middle-income people who lack insurance would receive federal subsidies they could use to buy coverage from either a private insurance company or the new government plan.

Yeah, and WHATEVER THEY GIVE YOU it WON'T BE ENOUGH!

Both would be available through an insurance marketplace, or exchange, offering one-stop shopping, much as the Massachusetts Health Insurance Connector does.

Yeah, and that is a HORRIBLE PLACE to SHOP! I KNOW, I BEEN THERE!!!!

Under Senate rules, Reid will need to round up 60 votes twice: once at the outset of the debate, allowing formal discussion to begin, and again at the end, closing the debate and allowing a final vote. There are 58 Democrats in the Senate, plus two independents who usually vote with them on procedural motions. The initial vote will probably be easier for Reid to get than the final one.

Yeah, because of YOU-KNOW-WHO!!

The most difficult question for the Senate in the weeks to come will be how to resolve the dilemma over the public option for insurance coverage. Senator Joe Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut who typically votes with Democrats, has said he would not support a public option, and several other moderates have expressed strong reservations about doing so as well. A contingent of liberals have insisted they would not support a bill without one....

SO WHAT? They DO NOT LISTEN TO YOU, liberals!!

Reid is SUCKING UP to CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRAPS, fools!

Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, called Reid’s proposal a “superb effort’’ and said: “We are going to pass this legislation.’’

Oh, I DON'T DOUBT IT -- in the DARK of NIGHT, like an ANAL RAPIST!

Yeah, we are ALL GOING to need CRAP CARE after that assault!

"Poll finds Obama’s support has shrunk below a majority

A poll released yesterday was a red flag for President Obama: It is the first national survey to put his overall approval rating below the 50 percent mark.

Which means it is worse.

In the Quinnipiac University survey, 48 percent of registered voters approved of the job Obama is doing, while 42 percent disapproved. But 52 percent of those surveyed disapproved of his handling of the economy and 49 percent disapproved of Obama’s handling of the Afghanistan war.

“Increasingly, the president finds himself with two different coalitions, one that backs him on domestic matters and a completely different one that backs him on Afghanistan,’’ Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said in a statement. Obama also faces gender and racial gaps in support.

THERE THEY GO AGAIN DIVIDING US!! How much of a GAP can there be when 80% of this country - I'm sorry, but it's true -- wants SINGLE-PAYER HEALTH CARE and an END to the WARS!

While 52 percent of women approved of his job performance, the poll found, 47 percent of men did. And while 89 percent of black respondents and 62 percent of Hispanics approved, only 41 percent of whites did.

Yeah, it's a RACIST THING if you don't like him! Pffft!

So WHEN is going to START TAKING CARE of the AFRICAN PEOPLE and STOP NEGLECTING THEM? When is he going to CEASE MAKING WAR on BROWN PEOPLE who NEVER DID ANYTHING TO US!

His support also was lower with older and richer respondents.

Oh, so it is a CLASS THING!!!! That's BETTER!!!! That is why the polls are down! WHO do YOU think CONTROLS the MSM MESSAGE?!!

Obama himself doesn’t seem to be worrying much about his poll numbers, saying on CNN yesterday that he is taking on major issues that he knows will create “political turbulence.’’

Asked whether he could envision a scenario in which he didn’t seek reelection in 2012, he replied, “I don’t want to be making decisions based on getting reelected, because I think the challenges that America faces right now are so significant . . . If I feel like I’ve made the very best decisions for the American people and three years from now I look at it and, you know, my poll numbers are in the tank and . . . politically, I’m in a tough spot, I’ll feel all right about myself.’’

Gee, who does that sound like, America?

NOW YOU KNOW WHY he is BELOW 50 and HEADING for BUSH COUNTRY!!!
