Selecting a Senator: Brown on the Waterboard

How long do you think you would last, Scotty?

Involuntary reflex says about 6 seconds before your mind starts freaking!

Not only is this a reason to NEVER VOTE for this
DANGEROUS FOOL, but HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER! He is an ARMY RESERVE OFFICER for CRYIN' OUT LOUD!

"Brown and Coakley clash over terror suspects’ rights; GOP Senate hopeful backs waterboarding" by Brian C. Mooney, Globe Staff | January 5, 2010

State Senator Scott Brown, the Republican candidate for US Senate, endorsed yesterday the use of enhanced interrogation techniques - including the practice of simulated drowning known as waterboarding....

What an AFFRONT to the SENSES!!

Now I would RATHER HAVE Martha, I don't care about 60 seats and the gatekeeper, I don't care about a health tax, abortion, the rest of it.

What an ABOMINABLE thing for a MILITARY MAN to SAY!

Torture is illegal under the Geneva Conventions and waterboarding is prohibited under the US Army Field Manual, but during the George W. Bush administration the practice was used by the Central Intelligence Agency....

The George W. Bush excuse?

Earlier, Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley was endorsed by NARAL Pro-Choice America, the latest in a series of abortion rights groups to back her candidacy, and Veterans and Military Families for Progress, a nonpartisan organization that backed Obama’s candidacy in 2008.

I'm not a big fan, but I see no ending of the atrocious practice here and have to live with it. The world isn't perfect. There are bigger battles to fight -- like ENDING the DAMN WARS!

Brown, meanwhile, picked up the endorsement of retired Red Sox star Curt Schilling, an independent who briefly considered running for the Senate seat, on his weei.com blog, 38pitches.

Not going to help him with me.

Joseph L. Kennedy, a Libertarian running as an independent, is the third candidate in the special election....

Yeah and THAT'S ALL WE SEE in the Globe from him.

--more--"

Naw, they wouldn't want to cover his positions on the issues.

Take a look and see why:

That is if I even bother to vote this time.

Maybe I'll just sit it out and make the vote illegitimate.

What is the threshold for an illegitimate democracy?

15% voter turnout? 10?
