Boos For Cheerleader Coach

"A former cheerleading coach is facing charges that he raped a girl at the West Bridgewater gym where he worked, Plymouth prosecutors said Wednesday. Nicholas D. Johnson, 26, of Brockton, allegedly sexually assaulted a girl he was coaching at Full House All Stars Cheerleading gym on two occasions — once at the facility and another time off the gym’s grounds. Johnson also allegedly encouraged the girl, who was under 16, to send him nude pictures via cellphone. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Monday in Brockton District Court and was held on $50,000 cash bail, according to the office of Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz. Prosecutors said Johnson had worked at the gym for about a year. He was fired last weekThe girl’s parents contacted West Bridgewater police to notify them about the alleged relationship, and investigators first approached him on Oct. 14. That same day, authorities said, he was hospitalized with minor injuries after driving off of Route 24. Norwood police arrested Johnson after his release from Norwood Hospital."
