June Swoon For Fart-Misters

No wonder the Globe has been conspicuously silent on the fart-misting front for so long.... as I impart anecdotal truth about the colder-than-average and brutal winter and the cooler-than-normal spring.

So who you gonna believe? Me or the proven, agenda-pushing liar paper?

"Comfort, then Storminess to Replace Northeast Chill

Today started on a chilly note across the Northeast. A more comfortable end to the day is anticipated, but episodes of storminess are on the horizon. The same high pressure that sent temperatures plummeting across the Northeast early this morning will slide offshore today, causing the air to moderate nicely this afternoon.

You may still want to wear your jacket this afternoon across the eastern Great Lakes and northern New England. Highs will be held to the upper 50s and 60s, which is cool for the first day of June. Unlike Sunday afternoon, snow will not make an appearance today....

Excuse me, fart-misters?

The long-range outlook for the Northeast favors cooler-than-average conditions through at least mid-June. AccuWeather.com Long-Range Expert Joe Bastardi expects actual temperatures to trend near or perhaps below average through July. Bastardi feels that the Northeast has likely already experienced their warmest weather of the summer.

This summer's temperature prediction across the Northeast does not rule out a few very warm days....

Finally, someone in the media who tells the truth -- the LOCAL WEATHERMAN!!!

--MORE--"

Oh, btw, the TEMPERATURES have been GOING DOWN for a WHILE, too!!!!

"This month's temperatures are running 3 to 4 degrees colder than normal.... Temperatures this frigid month are also well below the January average of 29.3 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. On many days the temperature plummeted more than 15 degrees below the historical average for that day"

And about LAST SUMMER?

"The EPA attributed the decrease to fewer days with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees"

So FARMER'S was RIGHT and the LYING GOVERNMENT and MSM were WRONG?

"The almanac's winter forecast is at odds with that of the National Weather Service, whose trends-based outlook calls for warmer-than-normal temperatures over much of the country.... the almanac was on target in the 2008 edition when it called for the Northeast and the Great Lakes to be hit with a long, cold winter with lots of snow..... The Old Farmer's Almanac, based in Dublin, N.H., predicted "global cooling" for the next two decades. The forecast was based on an expected change in sunspots and ocean temperatures, still better-understood factors than climate change, said the almanac's editor, Janice Stillman."We're looking forward to cooler-than-normal conditions for quite some time," Stillman said in a telephone interview."

And here's a real kicker:

"Some maritime glaciers.... have grown in recent years, including 2007.... They include glaciers at Nigardsbreen, Norway, and Alaska that were helped by temperatures that remain below freezing and ample snow"

Keep that last one in mind for later.

Update: The FURNACE has GONE ON THREE TIMES since 5 am when I began this morning -- UNHEARD OF in JUNE around here because it is USUALLY OFF BY NOW!!!

Nevertheless (and I love the "journalistic terminology"):

"
Melting Greenland ice could amplify sea-level rise in Boston" by Beth Daley | June 1, 2009

Excerpts from the Globe's environmental blog.

It's been a debate among climate scientists for years: How much will sea levels rise from climate change?

A new study led by the Colorado-based National Center for Atmospheric Research shows the melting of the Greenland ice sheet this century may result in far higher sea levels in Boston and other Northeastern cities in the United States and Canada.

Are you scared yet?

The study, published in Geophysical Research Letters, says that if the Greenland ice sheet melts at moderate to high rates, ocean circulation patterns may shift and cause sea levels off the Northeast United States to rise about 12 to 20 inches more than in other coastal areas.

Now I don't remember much from my state-school indoctrina, wait, inculcat, no, that's not it, brainwa, no...., oh, yeah, my state-school ejerkashen!!

I don't remember much; however, I DO REMEMBER that IF is a BAD, BAD word when WRITING a REPORT!!!!!!

No wonder the Globe is cratering; you can't write stuff like this without people noticing -- and then rejecting everything with the pages for being so outrageous in one form or fashion.

"If the Greenland melt continues to accelerate, we could see significant impacts this century on the northeast US coast from the resulting sea level rise," says NCAR scientist Aixue Hu, the lead author. "Major northeastern cities are directly in the path of the greatest rise."

And they USED the WORD again!

Are you scared?
