"Furious exchanges mark Senate debate; Brown criticizes Democrat on taxes, terrorism; Coakley calls Republican’s health stance reckless" by Michael Levenson, Globe Staff | January 9, 2010

SPRINGFIELD - Pointing to the attempted bombing of a Detroit-bound jetliner on Christmas Day, Republican Scott Brown said members of Al Qaeda “are looking to kill our kids and kill us.’’

We’re at war,’’ he said. “We’re at war in our airports. We’re at war in our shopping centers. We’re at war all over the world. Al Qaeda is coming here to try to kill our American citizens.’’

I thought we LOST ALL THIS when BUSH LEFT!

Je-sus Christ!!!!

Brown rejected Democrat Martha Coakley’s attempts to link him to national Republicans. “I’m not Bush-Cheney; you’re not running against them,’’ he said. “I’m Scott Brown from Wrentham, and you’re running against me. So the whole Bush-Cheney referral all the time is old. That joke’s old.’’

Well, YOU SURE are doing a good impersonation, Scotty, and I'M NOT LAUGHING!

"Coakley, Brown in bitter debate; Exchange barbs on taxes, terror; Final face-off has sharper edge" by Matt Viser and Andrea Estes, Globe Staff | January 12, 2010

Meeting for their final debate of the US Senate campaign, Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Martha Coakley tried to capitalize on voters’ fears last night, with Brown raising the specter of another terrorist attack....

We are at war,’’ Brown said. “We’re at war in our airports. We’re at war in our shopping malls. I have to be honest with you, folks. . . . I’m scared at some of the policies that I’ve heard.’’

The spirited hourlong debate at the University of Massachusetts Boston, sponsored by the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the US Senate and moderated by political commentator David Gergen, took place at a critical time in the abbreviated Senate campaign, with voters set to go to the polls a week from today....

I will be going now, and I'm not voting for this guy.

I'd vote Marty before him.

And is this guy ever sounding like a broken record.

"Brown, Coakley accentuate stances on terrorism, economy; Race for Senate is getting hotter" by Stephanie Ebbert and Matt Viser, Globe Staff | January 15, 2010

Today, both candidates will get a boost from leaders in their respective parties. Former New York mayor and presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, whose leadership on Sept. 11, 2001 made him famous....

And CUI BONO, huh?

Yesterday, Brown sought to target Coakley for saying during a debate Monday night that the United States does not need to beef up its military presence in Afghanistan because terrorists are now concentrated in Yemen and Pakistan.... “It is from here that we were attacked on 9/11, and it is from here that new attacks are being plotted as I speak,’’ he said.

Are the "terrorists" LURKING, too, George?

Brown, a 30-year member of the Army National Guard, once again criticized Coakley’s support for civilian trials for terrorism suspects, saying that what they need now is not more lawyers.

But Brown, himself a judge advocate general, acknowledged that suspected terrorists have representation from taxpayer-funded lawyers like himself at military tribunals. “That’s fine; I’m satisfied with that,’’ he said.

And he is FOR WATERBOARDING and TORTURE, huh?

Brown made the distinction that in court, suspected terrorists could get “rights that they’re not entitled to, for example taking the Fifth, which a lot of them are doing.’’

I think this guy is dangerous! He doesn't even know his own laws.
