"Marine killed in Afghanistan is mourned

A Marine from Rhode Island killed in Afghanistan was remembered as someone who wanted to better the world and who dreamed since childhood of entering the military. More than 400 people attended yesterday’s funeral for Private First Class Kyle J. Coutu, 20, who was killed last week supporting combat operations in Helmand Province. A candlelight vigil in memory of Coutu is set for tomorrow (AP)."

"Vigil held for Marine killed overseas

A candlelight vigil was held last night for a Rhode Island Marine killed in Afghanistan Feb. 17. The event in honor of Private First Class Kyle J. Coutu took place at Pariseau field, next to McCoy Stadium. It was organized by Coutu’s family and friends and the staff of Tolman High School, where Coutu graduated last year and was a captain of the football team. Coutu was 20 years old when he was killed supporting combat operations in Helmand province. Hundreds of people attended his funeral on Friday (AP)."
