In Breaking News today, Lori Price, Managing Editor of Citizens for Legitimate Government (CLG) has implied with one word in brackets that HARRP could have been involved in Chile's monumental 8.8 earthquake. CLG highlighting HAARP today concurs with a growing number of scientists and the public aware of the HAARP weapon of mass destruction and its geoengineering capacity to trigger "natural disasters" for imperialist political gain.
Price reports:
"Massive earthquake strikes Chile 27 Feb 2010 A massive earthquake with an initial magnitude of 8.8 has struck central Chile. The quake struck at 0634 GMT about 91km (56 miles) north-east of the city of Concepcion and 317km south-west of the capital, Santiago. Buildings in Santiago were reported to have shaken for between 10 and 30 seconds, with the loss of electricity and communications. The US issued an initial tsunami warning for Chile, Peru and Ecuador. That was later extended to Colombia, Antarctica, Panama and Costa Rica. [HAARP]"
HAARP has capacity to target areas and trigger "natural disasters" that the area is prone to experience so that the disaster is viewed as natural instead of attacked by a weapon of mass destruction. The U.S. is ready to offer help to Chile.

In 2005, Chossudovsky emphasized in his updated 2002 article, "Washington's New World Order Weapons Have the Abiliy to Trigger Climate Change":
The important debate on global warming under UN auspices provides but a partial picture of climate change; in addition to the devastating impacts of greenhouse gas emissions on the ozone layer, the World's climate can now be modified as part of a new generation of sophisticated "non-lethal weapons." Both the Americans and the Russians have developed capabilities to manipulate the World's climate.
In the US, the technology is being perfected under the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) as part of the ("Star Wars") Strategic Defence Initiative (SDI). Recent scientific evidence suggests that HAARP is fully operational and has the ability of potentially triggering floods, droughts, hurricanes and earthquakes. From a military standpoint, HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction. Potentially, it constitutes an instrument of conquest capable of selectively destabilising agricultural and ecological systems of entire regions.
Chossudovsky wrote in 2004:
"The significant expansion in America's weather warfare arsenal, which is a priority of the Department of Defense is not a matter for debate or discussion. While, environmentalists blame the Bush administration for not having signed the Kyoto protocol, the issue of "weather warfare", namely the manipulation of weather patterns for military use is never mentioned." Weather warfare was not a major topic at the recent Copenhagen Summit, despite its well attendance by environmentalists.
The Pentagon has "joined the global warming consensus" used by environmentalists' "global warming" campaign according to Chossudovsky.
"HAARP also has the ability of triggering blackouts and disrupting the electricity power system of entire regions.
"An analysis of statements emanating from the US Air Force points to the unthinkable: the covert manipulation of weather patterns, communications systems and electric power as a weapon of global warfare, enabling the US to disrupt and dominate entire regions of the World." (Chossudovsky, 2004)

Great ball of fire
A bright glow is not a precursor to a natural earthquake. A bright glow was reportedly seen during the time of the Hait earthquake. Pravda.Ru reported The Russian Navy reports that the U.S. created the earthquake in Haiti, the article archived on NoLiesRadio.
A bright glow was seen during the time of China's last powerful earthquake. There is documented evidence that it was created by scalar weapons based on a wedding party video that showed plasma discharge lights in the sky before that earthquake.
A bright glow was seen and reported by hundreds of people, locals and tourists, during Vanuatu's 7.3 earthquake in 2002. The writer witnessed that bright glow there during that quake around 4 a.m.
Ni-vans, the Republic of Vanuatu's indigenous population and one of the World's oldest living cultures that inhabits a remote and pristine tropical paradise area, reported that they had never before seen a bright glow during earthquakes. They did notice with great curiosity, due to its unusual presence there in the Port Vila harbor, the huge U.S. Navy ship that had unceremoniously moved in a couple of days before the quake, leaving before the quake as quietly as it had arrived.
The question now is whether there will there be Chilean reports of a great ball of fire during the time of their quake.
In this age of global U.S. military dominance, neither remote tropical island nor even space are places of peace.

In the past I would not have put much stock in the "conspiracy" theorists; however, given the state of AmeriKa's newspapers today and the unending and outrageous agenda-pushing falsehoods and lies, how can you not question them?
Thus, whenever they put forth any explanation (as in "terror" cases) I assume it is all a deceptive cover-up.
They did it to themselves because I used to believe in the NYT:

NEW YORK - The magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Chile early yesterday morning occurred along the same fault responsible for the biggest quake ever measured, a 1960 tremor that killed nearly 2,000 people in Chile and hundreds more across the Pacific.
Both earthquakes took place along a fault zone where the Nazca tectonic plate, the section of the earth’s crust that lies under much of the Eastern Pacific Ocean south of the Equator, is sliding beneath another section, the South American plate. The two are converging at a rate of about 3 1/2 inches a year.
Earthquake experts said the strains built up by that movement, plus the stresses added along the fault zone by the 1960 quake, led to the rupture yesterday along what is estimated to be about 400 miles of the zone. The quake generated a tsunami, with small waves forecast to hit the West Coast of the United States, and larger ones for Hawaii and elsewhere in the Pacific.
Jian Lin, a geophysicist with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, said that the quake occurred in an area just north of the site of the 1960 earthquake, with very little overlap. “Most of the rupture today picked up where the 1960 rupture stopped,’’ said Lin, who has studied the 1960 event, which occurred along about 600 miles of the fault zone and was measured at magnitude 9.5.
Like many other large earthquakes, the 1960 quake increased stresses on adjacent parts of the fault zone, including the area where the quake occurred yesterday. Although there had been smaller quakes in the area in the ensuing 50 years, Lin said, none of them had been large enough to relieve the strain, which kept building up as the two plates converged. “This one should have released most of the stresses,’’ he said.
Experts said the earthquake appeared to have no connection to a magnitude 6.9 quake that struck off the southern coast of Japan late Friday.

The Chilean event also had no connection to the magnitude 7.0 quake that occurred in Haiti on Jan. 12.

That quake, which is believed to have killed more than 200,000 people, occurred along a strike-slip fault, in which most of the ground motion is lateral. The Chilean earthquake occurred along a thrust fault, in which most of the motion is vertical.
Lin said his calculations showed that the quake yesterday was 250 to 350 times more powerful than the Haitian quake.
Paul Caruso, a geophysicist with the US Geological Survey in Golden, Colo., noted that at least on land, the effects of the Chilean tremor might not be as bad. “Even though this quake is larger, it’s probably not going to reap the devastation that the Haitian quake did,’’ he said.
For one thing, he said, the quality of building construction is generally better in Chile than in Haiti. And the fact that the quake occurred offshore should also help limit the destruction. In Haiti, the rupture occurred only a few miles from the capital, Port-au-Prince. The rupture yesterday was centered about 200 miles southwest of the Chilean capital, Santiago, and 60 miles from the nearest town, Chillan.
In many respects, Lin said, the Chilean quake is similar to the 9.0-magnitude Indonesian earthquake of Dec. 26, 2004. That quake, which also occurred along a thrust fault, generated a tsunami that killed more than 200,000 people around the Indian Ocean. And like the 1960 Chilean quake, the Indonesian quake increased stresses nearby: It was followed three months later by an 8.7-magnitude quake on an adjacent part of the fault zone.
When they occur underwater, thrust-fault earthquakes are far more likely to create tsunamis than quakes on strike-slip faults, said David Schwartz, of the geological survey in California.
That is what occurred in 1960. A tsunami generated by that quake devastated Hilo, Hawaii, killing 61 people. Hilo is vulnerable to tsunamis because its narrow bay funnels the water, increasing wave heights, which in 1960 reached 35 feet. But the tsunami also reached as far as Japan, hitting northern parts of the main island, Honshu, and killing 185 people and destroying more than 1,600 homes.--more--"
