The theft of scrap metal continues to be a problem in New Hampshire, but it may diminish as prices fall. With record prices fueling demand, thieves across the nation have been going after copper, brass, stainless steel, and aluminum. In Milford last week, seven chrome bumpers were stolen off pickup trucks at a car dealership. In July, a man pleaded guilty to trying to steal railroad tracks in Wilton. Prices have fallen from their historic levels in recent months (AP)."
