A Dov Sighting

Rare, but it does occasionally occur in the war paper.

"Romney adviser Dov S. Zakheim, an undersecretary of defense in the George W. Bush administration, responded at the debate that defense spending is not a major part of the debt problem. “The problem is entitlements,” he said, referring to programs such as Social Security and Medicare. “It is not defense. Defense is practically a rounding error. So if you want to go ahead and trade defense as a hostage for the issues that have to be dealt with, go right ahead. But the only people you will be helping are the Iranians, North Koreans, the Venezuelans, and others like them.”

First of all, they are NOT entitlements. We PAYED TAXES INTO the PROGRAM! It's a SERVICE we PAID FOR and CONTRACTED (we thought) with government.

Wow, that is SOME HELL of a ROUNDING ERROR!!!! And here I am worried I didn't put any cents in my tax return.

I'm sorry, what was he saying was the problem?

Is it just me or are other Americans offended by some dual national Jew looter and neo-con warmonger scolding us about where our tax dollars go, implying that wanting social services is tantamount to helping the "enemy?"

The candidates have surprisingly similar policies on some key foreign issues....

That's why there is really no point in wasting any more time of the diversionary and distracting s***.

And all of them are nominal allies or non-belligerents. Not the kind of change I was hoping for.

"Both proclaimed that the United States would stand with Israel

Until that yoke is broke U.S. foreign policy is doomed to failure.
