The Odyssey of Flight 1549

Now, I'm not saying that plane was shot down; I'm just saying the government and MSM are simply not to be believed.

"Investigators will closely inspect the engine once it is pulled from the water to better understand how it failed. Two days before the emergency landing, the same plane experienced a compressor stall while in flight. Passengers aboard the flight that left LaGuardia Airport on Jan. 13 reported hearing loud bangs from the right side of the plane. A short time later the situation appeared to return to normal and the flight continued on to Charlotte, N.C.

Uh-oh!! So the COVER STORY is BIRDS, huh?

The compressor is essentially a fan that draws air into the engine and helps create thrust for the jet. A compressor stall is a situation of abnormal air flow resulting from a stall of the blades within the compressor. Compressor stalls can vary in severity from a momentary engine power drop to a complete loss of compression, requiring a reduction in fuel flow to the engine.

The stall will no doubt be looked at as the investigation moves forward, but pilots and aviation specialists have said they doubt the malfunction made the plane more vulnerable to the bird strikes that are believed to have imperiled the Airbus A320....

Well, when I see ZERO PILOTS challenging the RIDICULOUS 9/11 story, forgive me for the skepticism. Looks like someone is trying to AVOID a LAWSUIT!

Several specialists said that a compressor stall in one engine generally doesn't create much of a problem and is unlikely to have factored into the later crash-landing. They added that the engine likely would have been closely analyzed before the plane was cleared to fly again.

Then I guess you wouldn't mind it happening to you, right? These "specialists" they trot out for EVERYTHING (like the global warming "scientists")!

Basil Barimo, vice president for operations and safety for the Air Transport Association, said compressor stalls are fairly benign events. "They are not something that brings down an airplane," Barimo said.

Retired Delta Air Lines pilot Joe Mazzone, who has flown planes that had compressor stalls, said he doesn't believe a compressor stall could have created or added to the total engine failure.

"If you have a big Canadian goose ingested in those engines, I would bet the farm that's what caused the engines to quit," Mazzone said. "The compressor stall would be a totally different issue unrelated to those birds." --source--"

But MIGHT be the REASON -- not the "bird strikes!"

How 'too-pid they think we are? I haven't heard GEESE in MONTHS!"

And yet, the bigger the lie, the more people?

"Canada geese remains found in engines" by Associated Press | February 13, 2009

WASHINGTON - Bird remains found in both engines of the US Airways jetliner that ditched into New York's Hudson River last month have been identified as Canada geese, federal safety officials said yesterday....

They have been unable to determine how many birds were involved in the crash....

Canada geese typically range in size from about 6 pounds to 12 pounds. The safety board said the type of engines on the ditched airliner, an Airbus A320, are designed to withstand a collision with a bird weighing up to 4 pounds without catching fire or causing damage severe enough to release engine fragments outside the engine case....

Why?

Why aren't they BUILT to WITHSTAND the GREATEST FLOCK of MIGRATORY BIRDS!!

The accident has focused attention on the problem of airplanes colliding with birds.

Yeah, they are just dropping out of the sky every day.

Canada geese have been a particular concern because they are larger than most birds and their populations are growing.

Maybe birds brought this one down, huh?

I don't like it!

Plane, fire, you making the propagnda connection in yo' head, Amurka?

Smells like ANOTHER 9/11!!! Who was on that plane?

Update (thanks whatreallyhappened.com):

"Sept. 11th Widow did NOT accept cash settlement; she sued the government instead. Also, as a co-founder of the group "Voices of Sept. 11" she pushed for an Investigative Commission and US. govt. intelligence reforms....

Beverly Eckert died in this morning's crash of flight 3407.

The plane was on final approach to Buffalo airport, 5 miles from the runway, when the control tower lost all contact. Weather was reported as light snow and fog and a 17 MPH wind. There was no radio message indicating a problem, so whatever happened happened in an instant. Only one house on the ground was destroyed, so the aircraft was on a nearly vertical path when it hit....

Already ABCNNBBCBS are putting out the story that flight 3407 crashed because of ice buildup on the wings leading to a stall on approach. But the aircraft had de-icing systems, electric heaters in the propeller blades and engine heat is ducted to the wings and control surfaces.

This rush to sell ice as the cause is troublesome.
