Kill Byrd: The Cover Up

I notice the MSM omits the references to one of the suspects being "with the Air Force Special Operations Command with an aircraft maintenance squadron at Hurlburt Field near Fort Walton Beach."

Just an oversight, I'm sure.

"Prosecutors say ringleader persuaded others to help kill Fla. couple; Suspects recruited from auto shop" by Associated Press | August 24, 2009

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Seven suspects charged in the shooting deaths of a Florida Panhandle couple appear to be a hastily assembled group lured by the promise of money, according to documents released by prosecutors.

Six men and a 16-year-old charged as an adult have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in last month’s slayings of Byrd and Melanie Billings, who were known for adopting several children with special needs. In the weeks before the attack, Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr., 35, identified by authorities as the mastermind, asked a few friends to drive a getaway car for a robbery, according to the documents. Gonzalez called one of the men 13 times on July 9, the day of the killings, pleading for his help.

Gonzalez’s stepmother told investigators that he persuaded his 56-year-old father to drive the getaway car by telling him that the Billings children were being sexually abused.

“He just said they were going to go do a job on a pervert,’’ Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Sr.’s wife told investigators. She said her husband “doesn’t like it when they play with little kids.’’

This is the BEST THEY COULD COME UP with for a cover story after a month ?

This load of crap?

Nothing about Byrd's PORNOGRAPHIC CONNECTIONS either, huh?

The documents reveal other links among the suspects, though it remains unclear exactly how each was recruited....

Surveillance cameras captured men wearing ninja garb and black masks entering the couple’s expansive house, stealing a safe that had little of value in it, and leaving in less than four minutes.

Does that sound like they went to rub out a pervert?

We may never know -- and cretainly won't find out reading an AmeriKan newspaper.
