"police identified one of [the rapists] as 25-year-old Jose Arita, a Guatemalan construction worker.... who police said is not in the country legally"
Of course, that's not a job an American would want.
And if you note the illegality, the jewpress hollers racist at you.
Have you seen this reported in the BG:
"Rabbis Raping Boys in Israel
For several weeks in April last year, the seven-year-old son of residents of the ultra-Orthodox Ramat Beit Shemesh neighborhood insisted on staying at home. "This was odd, because he always loved to go to school," relates his mother. "All of a sudden he looked scared and tried to find excuses not to go."
Then one day the boy suddenly told his elder brother: "The rabbi touched me."
"The rabbi" is a teacher at the ultra-Orthodox Yishrei Lev school for boys, which the boy attended. "When his brother asked, 'Where did he touch you?'" relates the father, "the boy pointed to his intimate parts."
The parents, who immigrated to Israel from the United States about 10 years ago, are very active in the ultra-Orthodox "Anglo-Saxon" (English-speaking) community in Ramat Beit Shemesh."
FLASHBACK:
"Brookline assault raises alarm; Recalls a similar attack on woman in same area" by Milton J. Valencia, Globe Staff | August 19, 2009
A woman was attacked and sexually assaulted by two men early yesterday near Coolidge Corner in Brookline, an assault alarmingly similar to one just over a year ago in the same area.
Police said they are looking at that assault and others as they investigate yesterday’s shocking rape....

Then the story REALLY STARTED TO STINK like a SUSAN SMITH STORY so I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK!
You must ALWAYS REMEMBER, readers, that the PAPERS and AUTHORITIES WILL LIE to PUSH an AGENDA -- NO MATTER HOW TRIVIAL it may seem!!!
Brookline police Sergeant Robert J. Disario said surveillance cameras in the area, which are part of the town’s homeland security and emergency evacuation plans, captured footage of the truck, possibly a Ford with an extended cab. “These photos are invaluable,’’ he said....
The attacks are shocking for a community of many small business owners who already worry about crimes such as robberies, only to hear about sexual attacks, said R. Harvey Bravman of Advanced Digital Websites and the Coolidge Corner Merchants Association. He said many business owners hope to work with police to set up a system to spread information about crimes and suspects to aid in prevention....
Why am I hearing a CRY of WOLF now -- especially since the lady was able to "leave" the rape?
And WHAT FASCIST, TYRANNICAL AGENDA is to be served by all this, cui bono?
Of course, women never holler false rape (IF ONE EVEN DID; I'm only taking the authorities words, and I don't believe authority anymore -- ever. Too many lies told by too many papers).
"Rape stuns Coolidge Corner residents; Police say camera might have caught suspects’ truck" by Matt Collette, Globe Correspondent | August 20, 2009
BROOKLINE - Police say the victim, a Brookline resident, was forced into a red pickup truck by two assailants at about 2:20 a.m. and driven to an unknown location, where she was raped. She eventually escaped.
NO ONE is QUITE SURE HOW!
Look, I don't want to doubt the woman or the paper here, but something just doesn't sound right about the story?
With the case unsolved, some women said they will change their habits. Although the cameras might have provided police with a major clue and they have helped solve other cases this year, some residents continue to call for their removal....
“I’ve never denied that there would be some crime-fighting value out of the cameras,’’ said Marty Rosenthal, who cochairs Brookline PAX, an advocacy group that opposes the cameras. “The tougher question is measuring it and then weighing it against the sentiment of the community. It’s easy to say the cameras will fight crime. It’s much harder to truly measure that.’’
Rosenthal also pointed out that while footage from the surveillance cameras might help police solve the assault, it did not seem to prevent the crime from happening.
Despite the Town Meeting vote, Brookline police have not removed the cameras.

I mean, the CUI BONO of it all stunk to me, folks.
Last month, Brookline police Chief Daniel C. O’Leary proposed policy changes that would keep camera lenses covered unless police needed them for their original purpose, to monitor evacuation routes for the Department of Homeland Security, Harrington said.
I thought it was to catch 'terrorists." That's what they tell you back in the day.
The Board of Selectmen has not yet made a decision on the cameras. The chairwoman, Nancy Daly, did not respond to telephone or e-mail messages seeking comment yesterday.
I'd get the same reaction.
Then again, I'm wouldn't know what was going on in Brookline (still don't really understand because of the strange focus of the story), but I DO KNOW WHAT is happening IN MY OWN TOWN and when the Globe is fibbing!
So why should I believe them? What AREN'T they saying?
Betsy DeWitt, a member of the board, said the fate of the cameras rests in a debate over privacy. The issue is expected to be discussed at the selectmen’s next meeting, scheduled for early next month.
“We have to balance privacy, and we have to balance public safety,’’ DeWitt said. “To the extent that they do not do harm, then I would certainly lean in the direction of public safety.’’

"Suspect arrested in Brookline attack; Release of tape aids capture; 2d man sought" by Maria Cramer, Globe Staff | August 21, 2009
BROOKLINE - Yesterday, two days after the early morning attack, police identified one of those men as 25-year-old Jose Arita, a Guatemalan construction worker with a wife and a 3-year-old son.
Arita, who police said is not in the country legally, pleaded not guilty in Brookline District Court to charges of aggravated sexual assault, assault with intent to rape, and kidnapping. He was held on $150,000 cash bail.
Less than 2 miles away on Arita’s working-class street in Brighton, a family friend expressed shock at his arrest.
“I don’t believe it,’’ said Rosa Maria Perez, who lives in the same apartment building on Leicester Street as Arita and said she is close to Arita’s wife. “He is very calm, quiet.’’
Perez described Arita as a devoted husband who treats women with respect and attends weekly services at an evangelical Christian church in Waltham.
On the door of his apartment hung a poster of a colorful landscape. Written on it was a psalm in Spanish telling those who trust in God that they are like a mountain that cannot be shaken.
“We all go to church together,’’ Perez said. Arita “is always with his wife. If he’s not working, he’s with her.’’
When was the LAST TIME the paper and MSM was SO SYMPATHETIC to a RAPIST, huh?

Oh.
The second suspect, however, remained at large yesterday.
C'mon, Jose, spill your guts or we'll deport you, right?

Update:
BROOKLINE - Brookline police arrested Ismael Martinez, 26, of Waltham late Friday night, the second suspect in the early-morning attack Tuesday on a 30-year-old Brookline woman. He joined Jose Arita, 25, who was arrested Thursday....
Brookline police Lieutenant Philip Harrington said that the suspects knew each other and worked together as freelance plasterers. Both suspects are believed to be living in the United States illegally - Arita from Guatemala and Martinez from Mexico....

Well, now, I APOLOGIZE to the poor woman for my suspicious sniffer being skeptical.
