"Iran seizes Iraqi oil well, stirring tensions" by Associated Press | December 19, 2009
BAGHDAD - Iranian troops crossed into Iraqi territory and seized an oil well that lies in a disputed area along the two countries’ southern border, Iraq’s deputy foreign minister said yesterday.
Why? Why would they do that? How does Iran benefit from such a thing?
The official, Mohammed Haj Mahmoud, said Iranian troops seized oil well No. 4 Thursday in the Fakkah oil field, in Maysan Province about 200 miles southeast of Baghdad. The oil field is one of Iraq’s largest. Oil prices rose slightly after news of the incident spread.
So someone benefited.
The incursion by armed Iranians provided a dramatic display of the simmering border tensions between two nations, which have nonetheless grown close in recent years after a Shi’ite-led government rose to power in Iraq following the 2003 US-led invasion.
Have you had enough MSM bulls***?
So WHO pulled off this FALSE FLAG -- if it EVER HAPPENED AT ALL, readers?!
Iraq’s national security council held an emergency meeting late yesterday. The Fakkah field is considered a shared field between Iran and Iraq, meaning both nations are able to pump oil from it, but the Iraqis consider oil well No. 4 theirs.

Now remember, they reported Iranian troops, right?
"Iraq, Iran square off over oil well; Baghdad deploys troops, demands occupiers leave" by Lara Jakes, Associated Press | December 20, 2009
BAGHDAD - Iraq deployed troops yesterday to monitor an oil well seized by Iranian forces along the disputed border between the two countries, an Iraqi official said, as Baghdad demanded once again that Iran withdraw.
The diplomatic standoff began late Thursday, when Iranian forces reportedly crossed into Iraq and seized the well, which sits just over the border in the southern Maysan province. It was a dramatic display of the occasionally tense relations between the wary neighbors.
Notice the subtle rewrites and linguistic contortions the AmeriKan MSM goes through as it refines the official story?
Iraqi troops and border guards were in the area at a staging ground about a half mile from oil well No. 4 at the al-Fakkah oil field and were awaiting further orders, said an Interior Ministry official at the site who was not authorized to talk to reporters. It was unclear how many troops were involved. Iraqi forces barred journalists from approaching the area. The field is about 200 miles southeast of Baghdad.
The takeover - which included the planting of an Iranian flag on the well - was met by protests from Baghdad and an emergency meeting of Iraq’s national security council that denounced it as a gross violation of Iraqi sovereignty.
Oh, well, that confirms it then!
Not like anyone could plant a flag, huh?

Yeah, that is hilarious!
Iraqi officials said the well was clearly in Iraqi territory and demanded the Iranians leave immediately. High-level diplomatic talks between Iraq and Iran are continuing, said Iraqi deputy foreign minister Labid Abbawi.... It was not clear whether the Iranian forces who reportedly seized the well late Thursday night were still there, and Iran gave conflicting signals yesterday about the incident.
They act just like an AmeriKan newspaper!!
The Iranian military, in a statement carried by the Arabic language Iranian news station al-Alam, denied they had violated Iraq’s sovereignty and said the oil well was part of Iranian territory under a 1975 border agreement. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Rahmin Mehmanparast accused foreign media of spreading false news to “disrupt good relations’’ between Tehran and Baghdad....
Yeah, and CUI BONO?
Christopher Hill, the US ambassador to Iraq, said the incident does speak to the overall view in the country that the Iraqis are not going to be “pushed around by Iran.’’
Oh, yeah? KEEP that comment in mind, readers!!
Army General Ray Odierno, commander of US forces in Iraq, told reporters that the Iranian forces had withdrawn from the oil well as of yesterday morning.
If they were EVER THERE AT ALL!!
But an oil worker at the field said five Iranians remained at the well and the Iranian flag still flew above it.
Oh, an oil worker, claims my lying, Zionist War Press!
The worker, who did not want to be identified for fear of retribution, said Iranian troops were watching the well from a hillside on Iran’s side of the border.
As with ALL AmeriKan MSM stories, the MORE YOU READ it, the MORE it STINKS!
It was not clear as well what kind of Iranian forces had been at the well.
Oh, no, here we go....
An Iraqi official and a witness described them as soldiers, while the Iraqi government spokesman earlier described them only as armed men.
Oh, ARMED MEN, huh?
So were they CIA or Blackwater?
Admiral Mike Mullen, the top American military official, said the United States considers the oil site Iraqi sovereign territory. However, Mullen said the incident must be resolved by the Iraqi government, and there were no plans by the United States to intervene.
Once bitter enemies, Iraq and Iran settled into a more positive, if still uneasy, relationship after a Shi’ite-led government came to power after the 2003 US-led invasion.
Yeah, the IRANIANS DIDN'T DO THIS, but we are meant to think they did!!
And WHO would want to DO THAT, readers?
WHO is chomping at the bit for a piece of Iran, huh?
But Odierno said Iran continues to fund and train fighters in Iraq, as well as send weapons and equipment over the border.
WTF?
We got rid of Saddam so Iraq could become a friend to "terrorist enemy" Iran?
Nice move, AmeriKa!
Of course, when we do the same things -- train death squads and leave military equipment behind -- that's just fine.
--more--"
And ONCE AGAIN, the Zionist AmeriKan MSM is CAUGHT LYING!!!
"Iraq denies Iranian oilfield incursion
Iran denies grabbing an oil well.
Iraq denies that Iran grabbed an oil well.
Iran is way too smart to risk war over a single oil well when Iran already has more oil than it can refine.
This is Iraq's "Yellow cake" all over again.
It looks like the US is planning to start the invasion of Iran from inside Iraq, a new Iran/Iraq war, built on a fiction of a stolen oil well...." -- Wake the Flock Up
I guess the BLATANT FICTION is why the war-mongers and their MSM backed off, huh? In their typically deceptive fashion, readers."Iraq retakes oil field in dispute with Iran; Strikes tentative development deal" by Sinan Salaheddin, Associated Press | December 21, 2009
Oh, they "retook" it, huh?
BAGHDAD - Iraq took back a remote oil well from Iranian forces and tentatively approved a lucrative oil deal with foreign investors in separate steps yesterday toward shoring up its nascent oil industry in the face of still-existing security pitfalls.

Huh! Isn't that TIMING INTERESTING!!!
So it is the Iranians who did this, huh?
Which means WE won't be able to leave because of the "security" of the oil, huh, America? How many more MSM lies you going to fall for?
The peaceful end of the standoff at the No. 4 well in the al-Fakkah oil field capped a tense weekend between Iraq and Iran, uneasy allies that were once at war.
Yeah, that's all ancient history after the U.S. invasion and occupation, but nothing like pushing conventional BS at you on a daily basis.
But the preliminary deal - between Iraq’s oil ministry and a partnership run by European refiner
Yeah, U.S. is SHUT OUT of the OIL FIELDS and then Iran seizes a well!
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!
Iraqi soldiers escorted about a dozen oil workers back to the al-Fakkah well, which armed Iranian forces had vacated overnight, several government officials said. Iraqi soldiers planted the Iraqi flag on the well where Iran’s flag had flown during the dispute, which began last Thursday. Dozens of Iranian soldiers, however, lingered at a checkpoint not far away.
Oh, right, the planting of the flag confirms everything the MSM is telling us. As for the Iranians "lingering," I'm sure they are STAFFING that CHECKPOINT every day!
But hey, what's MORE MSM DECEPTION when the paper is full of it?
The well, which is not producing oil, sits about 50 yards from the Iran-Iraq border.
The STOO-PID Iranians either seized an oil well that isn't even working or the MSM is CONCOCTING a HUGE, STEAMING STINKER of a COVER STORY!!
Both countries claim parts of the oil field, and the border itself is under dispute in some places, a problem highlighted by Iranian officials who said the No. 4 well was on Iranian soil.
That's what my agenda-pushing, war-promoting, Zionist AmeriKan MSM says.
Officials in Baghdad and Tehran said diplomatic talks about the disputed border would continue. The al-Fakkah oil field is located about 200 miles southeast of Baghdad and has an estimated 1.5 billion barrels in reserves.
It is not clear why a group of armed Iranians seized the well on Thursday night, and officials offered differing accounts on whether they were soldiers or civilians acting on their own.
Oh, really?
Up above it was TROOPS, no question!!!
Why am I smelling Blackwater and CIA, readers!?
Political analysts said Iran appeared to be reasserting its dominance over the area’s oil reserves.
PFFFFFFFFTTT!!!!
The incident was just one of the latest security incidents to face Iraq’s fledgling oil industry.
Yeah, WE BETTER STAY to GUARD that OIL, AmeriKa!!
After all, it is WHY YOU INVADED IRAQ at the behest of ISRAEL!!!
--more--"
So how about those MSM contortions and distortions, huh?
Now you see why they get the verbal lash around here sometimes.
"IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. The claim that Iran grabbed an Iraqi oil well (why would they bother?) is a fiction on the same level as the claim about Iraq's "Yellow cake from Niger" and for the same purpose; to send your kids off to another war....
Folks, the US Government isn't even being clever here.
