Irish Terrorists Traced to U.S.

Governments either fund it or allow it to be funded; not much of a difference.

"US rebuts claims it’s aiding IRA dissidents" by Associated Press  |  October 15, 2010

LONDON — America’s ambassador to Britain said yesterday that there is no evidence that violent dissident groups in Northern Ireland are getting money from US sources....

Then it must be true.

Irish Are No Fools

Who are the "terrorists" again?

Attacks have prompted questions about funding. In the past, some Irish-Americans have been accused of backing the IRA’s campaign of violence, which it has formally abandoned....

From the 1970s to 1990s, US-based groups — chiefly Irish Northern Aid — funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to IRA-related causes in Northern Ireland....

Yeah, but you know, it is OKAY when GOVERNMENTS FOMENT TERRORISM and then PIN the FALSE FLAG on the PATSY!

It is unclear from where current dissident groups are getting their money.

No, NOT TO ME it is NOT!!!

Most of the recent attacks have been crude and relatively low-budget. Even during the heyday of the IRA, US sympathizers provided extremely little of the group’s funds.

Yeah, we are stingy bastards unless the check is made out to a war-profiteer, Wall Street, or Israel.

And seeing as the jig is up:

"Panel that monitors IRA groups to disband; Northern Ireland stable, officials say" by Shawn Pogatchnik, Associated Press  |  November 5, 2010

DUBLIN — Britain and Ireland announced yesterday that a panel monitoring Northern Ireland’s rival paramilitary groups will be shut down because the British territory has forged a stable Catholic-Protestant administration.

British and Irish leaders praised the work of the Independent Monitoring Commission, which has provided them regular reports analyzing the violence of Irish Republican Army factions and their enemies in anti-Catholic gangs. The panel includes a former chief of the US Central Intelligence Agency, Dick Kerr, and a former director of Scotland Yard’s antiterrorist unit, John Grieve....

That flushing sound you just heard was me depositing anything in any report from them.

PFFFT!

Hey, fox, you wanna investigate that cackling from the chicken coop?  Thank you.

The panel was formed, in part, to soothe Protestant politicians’ reluctance to cooperate in a Northern Ireland government....

Some extremists are catered to and bribed.

The panel was asked to pinpoint responsibility for bloodshed and crimes, most spectacularly when they identified the Provisional IRA as responsible for stealing $50 million from the central cash vault of Belfast’s Northern Bank in 2004 — at the time the biggest cash robbery in history.

Now it is the TRILLIONS in BANKER RIP-OFFS!

Right, these guys are going to trace back the responsibility to themselves!

Such scrutiny proved influential in building pressure on the IRA, which has transformed its cease-fire into full-fledged disarmament and demobilization since 2005.

In recent years the panel praised Provisional IRA chiefs for steering members away from riots, robberies, and ambushes in favor of Sinn Fein’s nonviolent political activity.

Yeah, that's me!

So did that distract you from this?

"Pushed by court, Ireland sets election; Ruling puts end to political stall" by Shawn Pogatchnik, Associated Press  |  November 4, 2010

DUBLIN — Ireland’s government, fighting for political survival as it drafts the most brutal budget in Irish history, said yesterday that it will hold a by-election for a long-empty parliamentary seat — a concession forced on it by an embarrassing court defeat.

So that BANKERS can GET PAID!

No wonder the damn government is so unpopular!

Irish ain't stoo-pid!

High Court Justice Nicholas Kearns ruled that the government had violated Ireland’s constitution by blocking a by-election in Donegal South West for 17 months. He said the unjustifiable delay “offends the terms and spirit of the constitution and its framework for democracy.’’

Since when do governments care about constitutions and laws? Those are only for everyone else -- arbitrarily employed by the very same government that disobeys its own laws.

And they called it democracy!

**********

Prime Minister Brian Cowen had hoped to delay any by-elections — which his deeply unpopular government is virtually certain to lose — for several more months as Ireland enacts its deepest austerity moves yet to combat Europe’s worst deficit.

So that looting banksters can get their chunk first.

The premier normally can count on support from 82 of the 161 lawmakers, one more than a bare majority, but several supporters are reserving their positions until they see just how painful the cuts will be.

Filling the Donegal South West seat with an opposition figure could mean Cowen’s coalition has to rely on a deciding vote from the Parliament’s usually neutral speaker. Losing the budget vote would trigger an early election.

The national mood has been darkening in anticipation of cuts and tax hikes, which come on top of two years of such measures.

Oh, the IRISH READY to REVOLT?!

Good thing the IRA "dissidents" and "terrorists" are STILL AROUND, huh?

Kinda gets your mind OFF the Wall Street LOOTING and GOVERNMENT SCREWING!

As Cowen deflected questions inside Parliament about the timing of elections, an estimated 25,000 students marched to the gates outside to protest over fears that the December budget will drive up university fees.

European kids put AmeriKa's to SUCH SHAME!

Where are you, SELF-INVOLVED, DOPED-UP 'murkn kid?

GET those HEADPHONES OUT of your EARS and PUT DOWN the VIDEO GAME!

While the main protest by the Union of Students in Ireland was peaceful, hundreds jostled afterward with riot police on foot and horseback.

I always view violence at a people's protest as the work of agent provocateurs.

CUI BONO?

WHO BENEFITS by making a protest look bad or gives an excuse to government for the use of violence?

WHO can then JUSTIFY FURTHER CRACKDOWNS in the name of "security?"

Police and witnesses said students threw bricks, placards, and eggs at the Department of Finance, and about 20 stormed into the lobby before being wrestled out. Hundreds more staged a sit-down protest in the roadway.

The politician who sued the government over its Donegal by-election obstruction, Pearse Doherty, said Fianna Fail leaders had conspired “to suspend democracy simply because they’re doing badly in the polls.’’

That's why Harry Reid reserved Nevada.

Doherty, whose Irish nationalist Sinn Fein party opposes the budget cuts, is favored to win the Donegal South West seat.

On Tuesday, Cowen’s parliamentary bloc suffered another casualty with the surprise resignation of Fianna Fail lawmaker Jim McDaid.

But he's not really dead.

McDaid’s departure means the Parliament now has four vacancies, all likely to be filled by opposition candidates. The seats in Dublin South and Waterford have gone unfilled since February and March, respectively, but Cowen still hopes to delay those by-elections until April 2011.

Yup, KEEP BREAKING the LAW and VIOLATING the CONSTITUTION!

That's GOVERNMENT no matter WHERE YOU ARE!
