U.S. Two-Faced Towards China

You aren't going to be able to save that one, Obama.

And after the Chinese were so friendly and invited Barking-Mad Bob into their house:

Gates accepts invitation to China

HANOI — Defense Secretary Robert Gates sought to patch up damaged military ties with China yesterday, accepting an invitation to visit Beijing next year and arguing that the two militaries should not be hostage to the longstanding US political relationship with Taiwan.

Related: "Taiwan's rapidly improving ties with longtime foe China are diminishing US influence"

That the way you guys going to start this thing off, sigh?

Gates avoided a direct confrontation with China over Asian sea disputes that have smaller Southeast Asian nations feeling pushed around. The United States is worried that China’s increasingly aggressive claims to disputed island chains could disrupt shipping, or even ignite a shooting war....

Well, the WAR-MONGERING MEDIA can ALWAYS HOPE, PRAY, and PUSH!

So WHEN was the LAST TIME CHINA INVADED anyone -- especially oil-rich or strategically-placed nations -- over ENERGY SUPPLIES, 'eh?

Yeah, I AM SICK of the AmeriKan War Press s***-spin; how could you tell?

The comments were made as defense ministers from Southeast Asia meet in Vietnam with their counterparts from eight other countries....  Vietnam and other Southeast Asian nations are looking for US backing as China asserts claims to islands in the South China Sea and muscles its smaller neighbors in other ways.

Oh, you mean the way ISRAEL ACTS?

The United States has said it will not back off the principle that such disputes be resolved by group discussion and without violence.

Yeah, ONLY WE ARE ALLOWED to use the STICK!

Not that China is; they are CUTTING DEALS and BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE for people while we KNOCK IT DOWN and CRUSH IT with MILITARY INVASIONS and OCCUPATIONS!

The heating of territorial disputes in Asian waters follows a series of aggressive moves by China on the high seas.

Hear those war drums?

Boom boom boom boom, boom boom boom boom!

The latest spat erupted last month with Japan over a collision between a Chinese trawler and two Japanese patrol boats off disputed islands in the East China Sea claimed by both countries.

See: China and Japan in the Same Boat

So whose interest would it be in to sink it?

Japan detained the Chinese boat captain, enraging Beijing. He was eventually released, and last week the two countries agreed to resume high-level talks, but....

Meanwhile, Vietnamese Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh confirmed on the meeting’s sidelines that China had ended another maritime incident on Sunday by releasing nine Vietnamese fishermen who were detained last month while operating in waters near the disputed Paracel islands in the South China Sea.

The what sea?

Last week, Vietnam demanded that the fishermen be released immediately without conditions. China had refused to send the sailors home until the captain paid a fine for having explosives aboard the boat.

Vietnam denied the allegation, saying the boat was only carrying fishing equipment. Both countries, along with Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines, claim sovereignty over all or part of the islands.

Then isn't that for THEM to work out with the BIG FAT U.S. BUTT staying OUT OF IT?

At Asian forum, US, China try to soothe tensions over sea rights

HANOI — The United States and China sought to defuse tensions over disputed territorial seas yesterday, with Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates urging nations to honor historic rights of free transit through international waters and his Chinese counterpart saying the region had nothing to fear from Beijing’s armed forces.

No, it is the hulking carcass of an empire that is looking for any reason to stay around.

At a forum of Asian defense ministers here, Gates was emphatic in calling on all countries that share the South China Sea to renounce threats or coercion in resolving their competing claims of sovereignty over transit lanes, fishing rights, territory, and undersea resources.

Yeah, only we (and Israel) are allowed to use those methods!

But he was also diplomatic, insisting that the United States does not take sides in such disputes and not specifically naming China as the perceived aggressor.

Isn't that how April Glaspie tricked Saddam Hussein into Kuwait for the sake of Poppy Bush and the New World Order?

Beijing’s delegation to the meeting — a gathering of ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, plus representatives of Russia and China — also spoke in measured terms, emphasizing that China’s military growth is not a threat.

Beijing’s representative to the conference, Liang Guanglie, the Chinese defense minister, called for mutual trust throughout the region and said neighbors need not fear his nation’s military.

Yeah, you know whose you should, right?

“China’s defense development is not aimed to challenge or threaten anyone, but to ensure its security and promote international and regional peace and stability,’’ he said....

Yes, because the CHINESE want a CALM and HARMONIOUS WORLD!

Buddhists DO NOT LIKE CONFLICT!

But YOU KNOW WHO DOES, readers!

Obama adopts a harder stance toward China and lines up allies

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration, facing a vexed relationship with China on exchange rates, trade, and security issues, is stiffening its approach toward Beijing, seeking allies to confront a newly assertive power that officials now say has little intention of working with the United States....

So WHEN does the BOMBING of IRAN and the World War III start?

I mean, that's why the U.S. has moved all that sea power into the region, right?

Administration officials speak of an alarming loss of trust and confidence between China and the United States over the last two years, forcing Washington to scale back hopes of working with the Chinese on major challenges like climate change, nuclear nonproliferation, and a new global economic order.

But ISRAEL can TREAT US LIKE DOG SHIT and it's OKAY!

AmeriKa will even eat the pile if ordered.

The latest source of tension is over reports that China is withholding shipments of rare earth minerals, which the United States uses to make advanced equipment like guided missiles

Oh, SCREWING with OUR WAR MACHINE, huh?

All of a sudden the CHEAP OUTSOURCING DON'T LOOK SO GOOD!!

Those Chinese were just supposed to be compliant slaves, not the proud nation (and empire) it once was for centuries!

For a bunch of genius global planners you guys sure are stoo-pid on the history!

Administration officials, clearly worried, said they did not know whether Beijing’s motivation was strategic or economic.

Yeah, when you mess with our war toys we get mad!

“This administration came in with one dominant idea: Make China a global partner in facing global challenges,’’ said David Shambaugh, director of the China policy program at George Washington University. “China failed to step up and play that role. Now, they realize they’re dealing with an increasingly narrow-minded, self-interested, truculent, hypernationalist, and powerful country.’’

That LAST BIT is more true of ISRAEL!

Yup, China WON'T PLAY BALL so they MUST BE DEMONIZED!

To counter what some officials view as a surge of Chinese triumphalism, the United States is reinvigorating Cold War alliances with Japan and South Korea, and shoring up its presence elsewhere in Asia.

Gee, WHO BENEFITS from all this PROPAGANDA in the PAPER??

China insists exports of rare earths won’t be a ‘bargaining tool’

BEIJING -- US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on China to clarify its policy on rare earths. She said recent Chinese restrictions served as a “wake-up call’’ for the industrialized world.

The WAR WAKE-UP CALL!

Many see China’s action as indicative of its growing aggressiveness in dealing with disputes.

You get the agenda-pushing point by now, right?

China has about 30 percent of rare earths deposits but accounts for about 97 percent of production. The United States, Canada, and Australia have rare earths but stopped mining them in the 1990s as lower-cost Chinese supplies became available.

Nice move, a**holes.

"A dispute between China and the United States over Beijing’s subsidies to clean-energy industries escalated yesterday when a senior Chinese economic official warned that Washington “cannot win  this trade fight.’’

No, I would say not since most of the products sold in AmeriKa say "Made in China" on them.

So that is where all the cardboard is going, huh?

China says Japan ruined chance at talks

HANOI — China issued scathing comments directed at Japan and the United States yesterday, a day after the two allies discussed a territorial dispute in the China Sea that has further soured Sino-Japanese relations. China’s renewed anger appeared to scuttle plans for a meeting of the countries’ leaders.

Assistant Foreign Minister Hu Zhengyue of China told reporters that Japan is making untrue statements and turning the contested islands — called Diaoyu in China and Senkaku in Japan — into a “hot topic’’ on the sidelines of an Asian regional summit by talking to the media and holding discussions with other countries prior to the meeting.

Gee, WHO WOULD WANT to do THAT?

“Japan spread groundless distortions. . . . They want to make the Diaoyu islands a hot-topic issue,’’ he said. “The Japanese side should take responsibility for ruining the atmosphere for leaders of the two countries.’’

Beijing also slammed Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for speaking out about the dispute after holding meetings with Japanese counterpart Seiji Maehara on Thursday in Hawaii, China’s official Xinhua News Agency said.

Oh, it was Hillary stabbing the Chinese in the back.

China’s neighbors join forces to counter its rising influence

HANOI — China’s military expansion and assertive trade policies have set off jitters across Asia, prompting many of its neighbors to rekindle old alliances and cultivate new ones to better defend their interests against the rising superpower.

Mostly in Washington D.C. and wherever globalist designers hang out.

A whirl of deal-making and diplomacy from Tokyo to New Delhi is giving the United States an opportunity to reassert itself in a region where its eclipse by China has been viewed as inevitable.

And CUI BONO?

President Obama’s trip to the region this week, his most extensive as president, will take him to the area’s big democracies — India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan — while skirting authoritarian China.

Related: Obama in India

Obama and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India are expected to sign a landmark deal for American military transport aircraft and are discussing the possible sale of jet fighters, which would make the Pentagon a major defense partner of India for the first time.

Of course, China should take all this in stride (sigh).

Japan and India are courting Southeast Asian nations with trade agreements and talk of a “circle of democracy.’’

To strangle the Chinese just as NATO has ringed the Russians.

Vietnam has a rapidly warming rapport with its old foe, the United States, in large part because its old friend, China, makes broad territorial claims in the South China Sea.

The deals are not intended to contain China. But

Then you know that is EXACTLY what it IS INTENDED to do!

most Asian countries, even as they argue that China will inevitably replace the United States as the top regional power, have grown concerned at how quickly that shift is occurring.

And its rapid naval expansion, combined with a more strident defense of disputed territorial claims, has persuaded Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Singapore to reaffirm their enthusiasm for American security.

I'll bet the THREAT of ending IMPERIAL AID may have had a BIG PART in it, too!

None of this seems likely to lead to a Cold War-style standoff.

Then WHY ALL the WAR HYPE, hanh?!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of this stuff is New York Times GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

China is fully integrated into the global economy, and all of its neighbors are eager to deepen their ties with it.

I am SICK and TIRED of the MIXED MESSAGES, you DAMN WAR LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

China has fought no wars since a border skirmish with Vietnam three decades ago, and it often emphasizes that it has no intention of projecting power through the use of force.

Quite a contrast with AmeriKa which openly declares it.

Yeah, Chinese haven't had a "war" -- border skirmish(?) -- in 30 years while USrael $eems to need one every other year!

At the same time, fears that China has become more assertive as it has become richer are having real consequences around the region.

Yeah, the END of the FLABBY-ASSED and GASSED AmeriKan empire is NEAR!

Inside China, some analysts say that the strengthening of American alliances around the Pacific Rim need not come at the cost of its relationship with the United States. But they add that it will depend on how the Obama administration presents the strategy to China.

“The Chinese perceived the Hanoi meeting as a gang attack on them,’’ said Charles Freeman, director of China policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

More like ganging up on them for an attack.

“There’s no question that they have miscalculated their own standing in the region.’’

Acting like Israel again.

U.S. has been hanging around them for too long:

US pushing for a settlement of disputed claim to islands

HANOI — With tensions between China and Japan spilling out at an East Asian summit meeting here, the United States is trying to defuse an escalating diplomatic row over their competing claims to a cluster of small islands in the East China Sea.

Yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton proposed a three-way meeting with China and Japan to resolve the dispute. In private conversations with Chinese and Japanese diplomats, Clinton “made very clear to both sides that we want the temperature to go down on these issues,’’ a senior official said.

This after SHE RAISED IT by going BEHIND CHINA'S BACK and MADE JAPAN BRING IT UP!

Is she DRINKING AGAIN?

As the United States, Russia, and 16 Asian nations gathered in Hanoi to discuss regional cooperation, China’s aggressive maritime and territorial claims were sowing unease with several of its neighbors.

I'm sorry, WHO is sowing unease, you PoS war paper?

The United States, which had been mostly a bystander in such disputes, has taken a more active role under the Obama administration.

Once again the WRONG KIND of CHANGE!

Though it has no position on the sovereignty claims, Clinton said the United States viewed the islands as protected under the terms of its defense treaty with Japan, which means it will defend them from any foreign attack."

So WHEN does the WAR START??

Yup, Chinese must be preparing for war -- although I can't imagine why:

"GE to invest $2b in China effort

NEW YORK —  General Electric Co. plans to sink more than $2 billion into its efforts in China through 2012 as the conglomerate looks to tackle the country’s pressing energy and infrastructure needs.

Don't you wish they would do that for you, America?

GE said yesterday that it will probably spend $500 million on research and development and new customer innovation centers in China, adding more than 1,000 new jobs.

Don't you wish they would do that for you, America?

More than $1.5 billion is expected to be put toward new joint ventures with Chinese state-owned enterprises in high-technology sectors.

The news comes a day after GE named John Rice head of global operations. In that role, Rice will concentrate on growth in markets including China, India, the Middle East, and Brazil. It also comes after GE emerged as a big winner from President Obama’s trip to India, as the company signed multiple deals in that market.

Yeah, we all know he is a corporate puppet.

GE sees huge potential in both India and China. China’s rapid growth over the past 10 years has left it grappling to find enough energy to support its companies and residents, which GE plans to service. A partnership with State Grid Corp. of China, a power distributor and one of the world’s biggest utilities, will help provide more access to the region.

“China is one of the world’s fastest growing areas with a tremendous need for infrastructure,’’ Dan Heintzelman, president and chief executive of GE Energy Services, said in a statement.

Then what is with the saber-rattling, Obomber?

Obama nears pivotal trade compromise

SEOUL — Obama administration officials said yesterday that they were close to securing a compromise agreement to help reduce vast trade imbalances, a step that could ease conflict among the major world economies over commerce, currency, and monetary policies.

As with all Group of 20 communiques, this one relies on peer pressure and the perception of shared long-term interests; it is not legally binding.

Translation: It's a hunk of crap -- and Obama knows it:

President Obama arrived for a reception for the Group of 20 economic summit in Seoul yesterday. Obama had hoped to announce a deal on the free trade agreement during the event, but instead will return home empty-handed.

He has that look, yeah.

But the group plans to ratify calls for the International Monetary Fund to a play a stronger and more prominent role in monitoring the trade imbalances and, when necessary, publicizing them.

The SAME OLD FAILED SOLUTIONS!

Word of the possible compromise came as US officials scrambled to cool tensions that had flared over the Federal Reserve’s decision to pump $600 billion into the economy to stimulate growth, which China, Germany, Brazil, and other major exporters fear is intended to push down the value of the dollar and give the United States an advantage in global trade.

Is that helping you, average American?

President Obama, in a letter to the Group of 20 released yesterday, appealed for calm, while also imploring other world leaders to shift global economic demand away from its historical reliance on American consumption and borrowing.

Yes, don't get angry at the banksters looting; just quietly let them pick your pocket some more.

Obama criticizes China’s currency policy at G-20

SEOUL — The Group of 20 major economies took initial steps to address imbalances in the global economy yesterday. But it did not act as assertively as President Obama had hoped, and he left little doubt that he considered one country, China, the primary source of the problem....

So when the U.S. ECONOMY SHITS the BED because of GOVERNMENT and CORPORATE CORRUPTION and MISMANAGEMENT you can BLAME CHINA, not BANKS!!!

The tougher language seems likely to add tension with China, which has criticized the Obama administration’s decision to try to mediate territorial disputes involving China and its East and Southeast Asian neighbors....

A**HOLE! A**HOLE! A**HOLE!!

The group’s communique reflected an emerging consensus that longstanding economic patterns — in particular, that the United States consuming too much and big exporters like China and Germany consuming too little — were no longer sustainable.

Translation: GLOBALIZATION has FAILED!

But the uneasy compromise fell short of initial US demand....

The cautious approach reflected, according to several officials from the G-20 powers, the concerns of China, which resisted setting any kind of timetable for currency appreciation, and Germany, which insisted that the problem involves fiscal, monetary, and other policies, not just trade.

Hey, I thought we were friends?

FLASHBACK:

"Stimulus plan raises tensions; Nations see plot to gain trade edge" by Paul Wiseman
Associated Press / November 12, 2010

The Federal Reserve’s plan to buy more Treasury bonds has caused critics at home to warn high inflation and financial turmoil are inevitable.

It turns out many foreigners are angry, too.

It only matters to U.S. tools if it is Israel.

They say the Fed’s $600 billion program is a scheme to give US exporters an unfair edge — one that endangers the global economy.

That is what everything the Fed does is.

Is it? Or is the Fed’s plan a credible way to help end a jobs crisis and revitalize a still-tepid economy?

The last place you want that questioned answered is in the banker's paper.

Few dispute that Fed chairman Ben Bernanke is taking a gamble.

That's the foundation of the U.S. economy, 'eh?

YOU LOSE, Americans -- and the HOUSE BANK WINS AGAIN and AGAIN!

Whether or not his plan succeeds in aiding the US economy, it risks triggering a trade war and encouraging dangerous speculation in financial markets.

Related: Senate Sends Along Financial Fraud Bill

Yup, the REFORM did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Also see: You Bet Your Life!

And the politicians call it success

Already, the finger-pointing threatens to wreck this week’s Group of 20 summit of world leaders in Seoul, where the Fed’s plan has set off vociferous debate.

President Obama was forced yesterday to defend US policies at the summit, saying “the most important thing that the United States can do for the world economy is to grow.’’

No, the most important thing the U.S. can do is retract and end the empire, asshole!

Many economists say the Fed did not have much choice — not with the US unemployment rate stalled at 9.6 percent, short-term interest rates already near zero, and Congress refusing to spend more to jolt the economy.

“They’ve run out of bullets,’’ said Uri Dadush, director of the international economics program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Then they have FAILED in the MOST MISERABLE WAY POSSIBLE and it is TIME FOR THEM TO GO!

END the FED!!!

So the Fed announced plans to print enough money to buy an average of $75 billion in Treasury bonds each month for eight months. And it left the door open for more. The bond-purchase program is intended to energize the economy by forcing down long-term interest rates. Those lower rates might encourage some consumers and businesses to borrow and spend more.

Or bankers can just STUFF THAT MONEY in their pockets like they did the last time.

That is not likely, its critics say. For one thing, mortgage rates have fallen to record lows without reviving the housing market, reducing high unemployment, or stimulating much growth.

And yet here we have been told we have been in recovery for over a year, blah-blah-blah....

Would people and businesses that can’t or won’t borrow now at super-low rates start borrowing if interest rates on loans decline a bit more — and borrow enough to rejuvenate the economy?

Yup, we NO LONGER WANT to play your DEBT-INDUCING GAME, you f***s!!!

And DOWN COMES the FINANCIAL HOUSE of CARDS!

A bigger hope is that lower rates will lift stock prices.

Yeah, that is the ONLY THING Bernanke said he cares about.

That’s because, as Bernanke has suggested, investors will shift money out of low-yielding bonds and into stocks. Higher stock prices make people feel wealthier — and more willing to spend.

Yup, it is ALL an ILLUSION, folks!

All WORTHLESS PAPER being MANIPULATED and PUSHED by the LOOTERS who GOT YOU INTO THIS FIX!

And now the good-hearted souls are going to get you out!

Yeah, it is getting close to that time.

Business leaders become more confident when their personal wealth rises and when their company’s stock goes up. They are more likely to hire and expand.

Yes, SERVICE the RICH and everything will be fine.

That  has REALLY WORKED OUT WELL over the last century, hasn't it?

Yet the Fed’s move threatens to inflame global tensions.

I'm sure that is JUST WHAT the GLOBALIST PUKES WANT!

Destroy the dollar so America can be hollowed-out and bought on the cheap as the populace cries for a global currency or an Amero to save it while laying the foundation for ANOTHER WORLD WAR!

These psychopaths think it SAVED THEM BEFORE!

Yeah, GOING EVEN FURTHER INTO DEBT for WAR-PROFITEERING BANKS is a GREAT IDEA!!

When it prints more dollars to lower interest rates, the dollar’s value falls.

Yes, a POINT I MAKE ALL the TIME!

Of course, the OBFUSCATING MEDIA CLOUDS THAT FACT as OFTEN as they CAN!

See where it SHOWS UP in this article?

That make US products cheaper abroad and foreign goods costlier here.

Yes, that is why DESPITE DOWN DEMAND the COST of GOODS KEEPS GOING UP here in AmeriKa!

I WONDERED why GAS and FOOD were NOT GETTING ANY CHEAPER!

Germany and China, among others, call the move hypocritical because Washington has long complained that Beijing keeps its currency artificially low.

Isn't the world used to AmeriKan hypocrisy by now?

Just shaddup and DO WHAT the BANKERS SAY -- or else they will wreck your economy, country, and career!

--more--"

Seems like a good end to the post seeing as bankers are at the bottom of all the wars.
