War Looter's Wednesday: Peering Into the Future

This will complete the series.

"more than $2 billion to build laser-based targeting and all-weather visibility systems.... underscore the continuing growth of some New England suppliers of defense electronics technology, even as the Pentagon scales back.... even as the broader economy has contracted.... an ever-shifting battlefield, and day-and-night warfare.... a much-needed capability for the war fighter"

No end in sight, America. Of course none of the guys who start and profit off this crap are actually on the front lines. They are in COMFORTABLE SUITS in Washington D.C., New York, Boston, etc, etc....

The sooner the empire implodes, the better for you.

It will be painful, but necessary.....

"Defense firm to add 75 positions after winning high-tech contracts" by Robert Weisman, Globe Staff | August 10, 2009

Yeah, the economy sheds millions of jobs (thousands every month in the state alone), and once again the paper is crowing about tens of jobs.

Here it is war promotion, other times the clean green scam, others the biotech bulls*** -- and so it goes. And so it goes.

Defense contractor BAE Systems is set to disclose today that it has won a pair of contracts worth more than $2 billion to build laser-based targeting and all-weather visibility systems - awards that would add about 75 jobs to sites in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

And it is a CORRUPT BRITISH WAR LOOTER to BOOT!!!!

Yeah, those 75 jobs is going to save your drain-downing a**es, 'murka!

Hey, a drowning man will reach for an anchor.

The contracts, being unveiled this morning at the company’s plant in Lexington, underscore the continuing growth of some New England suppliers of defense electronics technology, even as the Pentagon scales back on more traditional systems such as the F-22 jet fighter and the Zumwalt-class DDG-1000 destroyer.

That is SOOOOOOO INSULTING!!!!!

The Pentagon is getting close to $650 BILLION and its a "scale back?"

Meet Your Antiwar New England Liberals

It's over, America; your left-liberal, antiwar "opposition" is a MYTH!!!

It is left to "right-wing" people of PEACE like ME to RAIL and RAGE for WHAT YOU PROMISED!!!!!!!

Do you know how much BILE flows up into the mouth from this once smug and self-righteous Mass. lefty. Seems like a lifetime ago.

BAE Systems, a British industrial conglomerate that operates its giant Electronics & Integrated Solutions division out of Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts, has hired hundreds of engineers and manufacturing workers over the past year at sites in Nashua, Hudson, and Merrimack in New Hampshire and Burlington, Lexington, and Marlborough in Massachusetts, even as the broader economy has contracted.

The contracts being outlined today include an all-weather, day-or-night system for locating targets for the US Army and a 24-hour, all-weather visibility system for operators of Army and Marine Corps ground vehicles. BAE Systems engineers plan to demonstrate some of the infrared technology systems at this morning’s event....

The company’s US operations, which rang up sales of $34.4 billion last year, are based in Rockville, Md.

BAE Systems, along with Waltham-based Raytheon Co., Providence-based Textron Inc., and General Dynamics Corp., which operates a communications systems center in Taunton, have increased their capabilities in such fields as electronic warfare and cybersecurity, sophisticated technology that is considered key to combating a new wave of global threats to the United States and its allies.

Systems like those being produced by BAE Systems are geared toward decentralized threats, an ever-shifting battlefield, and day-and-night warfare. One of the new BAE contracts, valued at $1.94 billion, calls for production of driver’s vision enhancers designed to improve night-vision capabilities for more than a dozen types of military vehicles. The second contract, worth $347 million, is for laser locator modules, hand-held devices that home in on battlefield targets....

“Both of the systems provide a much-needed capability for the war fighter,’’ BAE spokeswoman Karen Spiller said

"Expanding vision to bolster troops; BAE Systems’ contracts to boost military targeting" by Robert Weisman, Globe Staff | August 11, 2009

LEXINGTON - If the Redcoats were marching on the Lexington Green today, they’d be spotted and targeted long before they arrived - day or night, and in fog or rain - by Minutemen holding high-tech “laser target locator modules’’ produced across town by BAE Systems.

That is ABSOLUTELY INSULTING!!!!!!!!!!!!

To IMPLY that the BRITISH would be ARMING the AMERICAN REVOLUTIONARIES is an AFFRONT to the SENSES!!!!!!

Then again, WHY should I EXPECT any DIFFERENT?

See: Sunday Globe Insults: Jews Were Tory Traitors

Oh, by the way, didn't PAUL REVERE and another fella named DAWES go on a PONY RIDE yelling "The British are coming! The British are coming!?"

So either my STATE SCHOOL LIED about HISTORY or my JEWSPAPER DID, hanh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BAE Systems program managers yesterday demonstrated the handheld devices, which can target five-foot-by-five-foot objects from three miles away, as the company announced up to $2 billion in military orders for advanced targeting and visibility systems. The defense contracts will add about 75 jobs to BAE Systems sites in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in the short term....

The programs unveiled by BAE Systems yesterday represent a broader embrace by the Pentagon of defense electronics technology for low-intensity warfare.

“We view these contracts as being part of the suite of equipment that protects our men and women in uniform,’’ said Michael L. Lewis, vice president and general manager of BAE Systems’ soldier and vehicle solutions unit in Lexington, at yesterday’s briefing.

That unit, part of the company’s big electronics and integrated solutions division in Nashua, N.H., employs about 500 workers locally. Like other area defense contractors, such as Raytheon Co. in Waltham and Textron Inc. in Providence, the division has been expanding its capabilities in fields like electronic warfare and cybersecurity to follow the shift in the Pentagon’s focus....

Think of that, CUI BONO, the next time some cyber attack comes along.

Pffft!

Oh, yeah, ABOUT Raytheon:

"Raytheon reviews bribery compliance" by Bloomberg News | August 13, 2009

Raytheon Co., the world’s largest missile maker, said it is continuing to conduct an internal review of its compliance with US laws against bribing foreign officials.

The Waltham company began the review on its own and additional information won’t be available until it is completed, spokesman Jon Kasle said yesterday. He declined to comment beyond disclosures the company made in its quarterly regulatory filing on July 23.

Raytheon has “identified several possible areas of concern relating to payments made in connection with certain international operations,’’ Raytheon said in the filing.

Raytheon said in the filing it can’t predict the outcome of its review.

I can: ABSOLUTION!

It's okay, they CHECKED THEMSELVES and WAR-PROFITEERING WAR-LOOTERS would NEVER LIE!!!!

Based on current information, the company said it doesn’t believe results of the review will have a material adverse effect on its financial results.

Neither do I; the taxpayer loot keeps rolling in for wars, banks, and the tyranny of empire.

John Nester, a spokesman for the SEC, declined to comment yesterday.

Pffffttt!

See: U.S. Government Knew About Madoff Scheme Since 1960

Yeah, the SEC is on the case.

"Robot maker gets a $5.1 million order

Bedford-based iRobot Corp. said it received a $5.1 million order from the Army for its bomb-disposal robots. The order calls for 14 of the company’s iRobot PackBot 510 robots with spare parts. The robot is used by soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan to help investigate dangerous areas where explosive devices might be present. It is the company’s 11th order under a $286 million contract.

Of course, if we were NOT OCCUPYING those places over a CROCK FULL o' LIES, then there would be NO NEED for this type of program, would there?

CUI BONO
?

You DON'T NEED $286 million for HEALTHCARE or ANYTHING ELSE, 'eh, AmeriKa?

Over and out, America -- it was nice living in you when you were a halfway decent, not always perfect, but a good country with good people.

Your demise at the hands of evil thieves will be recorded by historians as one of the lowest points of world history, akin to the Germans and their Nazi period.

Why did you
sleep, America?
