"Uganda outlaws female circumcision" by Associated Press | December 12, 2009
KAMPALA, Uganda - Female genital mutilation, also known as female circumcision, is prevalent in portions of West and East Africa to limit women’s sexual activity. More than 3,000 girls are affected each December in northeastern Uganda. The clitoris and sometimes other genital parts are removed. Doctors say it eliminates any pleasure for women during sex and can lead to complications during childbirth. Female genital mutilation is illegal in more than a dozen African countries.
I'm all for cultural sensitivity and relativity; however, this issue goes beyond that.
But is that the only thing that goes on in Uganda?
"Ugandan proposal considers death penalty for some gays" by Katharine Houreld and Godfrey Olukya, Associated Press | December 13, 2009
KAMPALA, Uganda - Proposed legislation would impose the death penalty for some gay Ugandans, and their family and friends could face up to seven years in jail if they fail to report them to authorities. Even landlords could be imprisoned for renting to homosexuals.
Gay rights activists say the bill, which has prompted growing international opposition, promotes hatred and could set back efforts to combat HIV/AIDS. They believe the bill is part of a continentwide backlash because Africa’s gay community is becoming more vocal.... The legislation has drawn global attention from activists across the spectrum of views on gay issues.
The measure was proposed in Uganda following a visit by leaders of US conservative Christian ministries that promote therapy for gays to become heterosexual. However, at least one of those leaders has denounced the bill, as have some other conservative and liberal Christians in the United States.
Hey, I'm no for executing gay people (leave that for the war criminals and banksters); however, notice how the agenda-pushing is a problem when it is anything except *ewish?
Gay rights activists say the legislation will probably pass. But the bill is still being debated and could undergo changes before a vote, which has not yet been set. The Ugandan legislation in its current form would mandate a death sentence for active homosexuals living with HIV or in cases of same-sex rape.

So what would you think of Ugandans, readers?
Bunch of savage animals, right?
I can't even remember the last time I saw an article on Uganda, readers, and yet within two days I get these two pieces. Then they fade away again. Must be a weapons-running ally in the region, hmmm?
