Checking Obama's Hearing

Yeah, just charge it to the American People.

Don't you wish you could get that kind of healthcare, America?

"In health care debate, both sides being heard

I'll bet I know when he turned down the hearing aid.

WASHINGTON - President Obama’s top aides met frequently with lobbyists and health care industry heavyweights as his administration pieced together a national health care overhaul, according to White House visitor records obtained yesterday by the Associated Press.

Not a good sign.

The records disclose visits by a broad cross-section of the people most involved in the health care debate, weighted heavily toward those who want to overhaul the system. The Associated Press in early August asked the White House to produce records identifying communications that top Obama aides - including chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, senior advisers David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, and Pete Rouse, and 18 others - had with outside interests on health care, then later narrowed its request to White House visitor records for those officials on health care. Yesterday, the White House provided 575 visitor records covering the period from Jan. 20, when Obama was inaugurated, through August. The visitors included George Halvorson, chairman and CEO of Kaiser Health Plans; Scott Serota, president and CEO of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association; Billy Tauzin, head of PhRMA, the drug industry lobby; and Richard Umbdenstock, chief of the American Hospital Association.

The logs also listed Dr. Eliot Fisher, a Dartmouth College health researcher who has estimated that nearly one-third of health care dollars are wasted on unneeded services; Dr. David Himmelstein of Harvard Medical School, who is among the top advocates of a single-payer health care system; and several lobbyists for insurers, drug companies, and large employers.

Yeah, ONE VOICE against HUNDREDS!

But he's hearing them all! He just ain't listenin'!!!! There is a difference!

The president “vowed to run the most transparent and ethical administration in our history, and our release of this records underscores our commitment to following through on that,’’ said White House spokesman Reid Cherlin. He added that the list demonstrates how the president is listening to voices from across the health care spectrum.

Yeah, that's why he is COVERING UP TORTURE PHOTOS and CIA CRIMES!!!

He even fought this release of these records, liar?!

"Senate set to open stormy debate on health care" by Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, Associated Press | November 30, 2009

WASHINGTON - The public is ambivalent about the Democrats’ legislation.

We ARE NOT! We are OPPOSED!!

While 58 percent want elected officials to tackle health care, about half of those supporters say they don’t like what they are hearing about the plans, according to a new Kaiser Family Foundation poll.

The Senate debate risks alienating more people because much of the discussion probably will revolve around divisive issues that preoccupy lawmakers.

And I'm sure the MSM will HELP the WHOLE WAY!

They LOVE DIVISION -- even where NONE EXISTS!!!!

“A large portion of the debate will be spent on issues that aren’t important....,’’ said Paul Ginsburg, president of the Center for Studying Health System Change. The debate should start off modestly, with each side offering one amendment. No votes are scheduled today....

Of the many issues senators have to weigh, abortion funding and the option of a government insurance plan promise to be the most difficult.

Then may the Democrat's health tax be aborted!

After all, they are CUTTING YOU OFF, American:

"COBRA price cut is starting to end" by Erica Werner, Associated Press | December 1, 2009

WASHINGTON - An auto parts employee laid off from his job last year has been able to hang onto his health insurance because the federal government has picked up most of the tab. That subsidy ends today for Don Hall and thousands of other Americans.

Hey, he is not a BANK or the PENTAGON, so....

Hall’s premiums will jump $500 a month, becoming unaffordable for him and his wife. A new study finds that many other workers will be in the same position unless Congress acts....

Yeah, BANKS get action RIGHT AWAY!!!

I guess Obama can't hear them either!

At issue is a provision of the economic stimulus bill signed by President Obama in February that cut the price tag for COBRA, the federal program that allows workers to keep their company’s health insurance plan after they leave their jobs. Prior to passage of the stimulus bill, workers had to pay the full cost of their premium in order to keep their coverage.

Yeah, the one good thing in the looting, 'er, stimulus is being taken away! Probably cost next to nothing, too!

The stimulus bill reduced the cost by 65 percent for workers laid off between Sept. 1, 2008, and Dec. 31, 2009. But the reduced-cost premium lasted only nine months.

While bank bailouts are forever!

Those like Hall who started getting the subsidy in March lose the subsidy today. Democrats in the House and Senate want to act, but it’s not clear how or when that could happen.

Yeah, because the PEOPLE are not a BANK, the PENTAGON, or ISRAEL!!

If it were them requesting help, the Congress would snap to it!

"Emotions high, Senate opens partisan health debate" by David Espo, AP Special Correspondent | November 30, 2009

WASHINGTON -- Despite its huge price tag, the Congressional Budget Office has estimated the 2,074-page bill would cost of nearly $1 trillion and reduce federal deficits by $130 billion over the next decade.

Yeah, the TAX is to be used s a DEFICIT CUTTER -- just as I have been saying for months!

In all, CBO said 31 million uninsured individuals would receive insurance if the bill were enacted, many of them assisted by federal subsidies.... It has taken months to advance the legislation to the floor, Democrats struggling with their own internal divisions as well as Republican opposition. Democrats control 60 seats in the Senate, precisely the number needed to trump a promised Republican filibuster. While Reid spent most of the day jousting with Republicans, his ability to steer the bill to passage will depend on finding ways to finesse controversial provisions within the measure. None is more important than calls for the government to sell insurance in competition with private firms. Liberals favor the plan; moderate and conservative Democrats oppose it. As drafted the bill establishes a so-called government option, although each state can block it.

If I were a liberal, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Even before Reid rose to speak, the two parties were squabbling over a new Congressional Budget Office study assessing the legislation's impact on the cost of insurance.... The first proposed change to the legislation, offered by Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., would increase insurance benefits for women, mandating that policies include an annual health screening....

It's all a rewritten reedit after this! What they excised completely:

including mammograms. The Obama administration had to tamp down outrage earlier this month after a government-appointed panel said that women generally should begin routine mammograms in their 50s rather than their 40s.
