The Quietest Holocaust You Never Heard Of

Been going on for another year, too!!!

"The Congolese military operations began in January
"

And you HARDLY HEARD or SAW a WORD ALL YEAR LONG, Boston Globe newspaper reader!

"Report says UN aids Congo brutality; Peace mission tied to abusers of human rights" by Stephanie McCrummen, Washington Post | December 15, 2009

NAIROBI - The United Nations peacekeeping mission in Congo is collaborating with known human rights abusers as it backs a brutal Congolese military operation that has led to the deliberate killing of at least 1,400 civilians and a massive surge in rapes, according a report by the group Human Rights Watch.

That number looks familiar (see flashback below).

I guess this is a big reason that whenever the U.N gets involved in anything it gets worse.

The 183-page report, the fullest accounting so far of the operation, is a chronicle of horrors. It describes civilians being tied together before their throats are slit, gang rapes, massacres, and village burnings, much of it carried out by a Congolese army being fed, transported, and otherwise supported by the United Nations.

Yup, U.N. "peacekeepers!"

The report calls for the UN peacekeeping mission to “immediately cease all support’’ to the Congolese army until the army removes commanders with known records of human rights abuses and otherwise ensures the operation complies with international humanitarian laws.

“Continued killing and rape by all sides in eastern Congo shows that the UN Security Council needs a new approach to protect civilians,’’ said Anneke Van Woudenberg, senior researcher with Human Rights Watch. The Security Council is scheduled to meet this week to discuss the Congolese peacekeeping mission’s mandate, which is the United Nations’ largest and most expensive. A mission spokesman said officials are studying the report, and declined to comment. The United States also has a small military team in Congo assisting the Congolese army.

Yeah, we are always involved one way or other, Amurkn!!

It's ALL ABOUT RESOURCES and $$$$!!!

The Congolese military operations began in January, and were intended to root out abusive Rwandan rebels who have lived mostly by force among Eastern Congolese villagers for years, fueling a long-running conflict that is the deadliest since World War II. The rebels - known as the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda, or FDLR - include some leaders accused of participating in the 1994 genocide in neighboring Rwanda. The initial phase of the military operations were backed by Rwandan troops.

But as the Rwandans departed in February, UN peacekeepers stepped in, supplying attack helicopters, trucks, food, and other logistical support to a Congolese army known as one of the world’s most abusive militaries. At the time, the head of the UN mission, Alan Doss, said that the operations were necessary and that some civilian casualties were inevitable. But the Human Rights Watch report details a chilling pattern of deliberate civilian killings by Congolese and Rwandan soldiers and the rebels they are fighting.

Translation: If you are an AVERAGE PERSON in the Congo it REALLY DOESN'T MATTER WHICH SIDE is coming your way.

Yup, BOTH KILLERS and BOTH FUNDED by the SAME PEOPLE!!!!

FLASHBACK:

"UN cites failures on Congo; Global network still arms rebels; troops’ impact nil" by Rukmini Callimachi, Associated Press | November 26, 2009

Oh, you have to LOVE the COVER-UP aspect of this MSM article!

As it turns out ALL the KILLERS can be traced back to
CLINTONITE GLOBALISTS (you know, the SAME ONES STAFFING OBAMA's administration)!!

Again, FOR RESOURCES!

CONAKRY, Guinea - One of Africa’s most brutal rebel movements relies on a vast, international network of supporters in at least 25 countries including in the United States and Europe, a United Nations report said.

Any names?

The UN findings show that the network of people help rebels in Congo buy arms and transfer money. The findings were slated to be discussed by the UN Security Council yesterday and are a scathing indictment of how little the international community has done to cut off logistical support to the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda, known by its French acronym FDLR, an ethnic Hutu militia which has wreaked havoc in Congo.

The report, not made public but made available to The Associated Press, reveals that supporters in North America, Europe, and Africa have become the backbone of the group’s day-to-day operations, including in formulating its military strategy. The Congolese army has also funneled weapons and ammunition to the rebel militia in violation of UN sanctions and its own interests of eradicating the group, said the report, a charge Congolese army officials denied. “There is no army officer or soldier who’s helping and arming rebels,’’ said Colonel Delphin Kahimbi. “I don’t understand how you can help the same people we are fighting.’’

Oh, HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND FALSE FLAGS and ENDLESS WAR SCENARIOS??!!!!

Yeah, I USED to THINK THAT WAY, too -- before I learned the TRUTH about 9/11!

The report also says the military operation mounted earlier this year against the rebel group has largely failed.

Because it was meant to!!

Although the militia was initially dislodged from strategic positions, it has since regained much of the lost territory and has launched reprisal attacks against civilians.

And HOW LITTLE I have read of that ALL THESE MONTHS in the Boston Globe!

I've seen enough garbage in the interim, though!

The UN Security Council met in a closed-door session yesterday for a briefing by its sanctions committee on Congo but members did not take up the report, said UN associate spokesman Farhan Haq. The council is likely to discuss it Monday, he said, but an official involved in the debate says that council members are trying to table the discussion because the findings include evidence of material support to the rebel group by member states.

Yes, and THOSE MEMBER STATES are?

Globe NEVER GOT BACK TO US, readers?!

The report says the rebel group continues to control lucrative gold mines in eastern Congo, allowing it to traffic millions of dollars in minerals through the country’s porous borders.

And they are WORKING for the WEST!

THOSE are the MEMBER STATES BLOCKING IT and FUNDING and ARMING THEM!!!!!

The FDLR is a rebel group made up of Hutu refugees from Rwanda who took cover in neighboring Congo after the end of Rwanda’s 1994 genocide of half a million Tutsis. Many of its founders and leaders are accused of having led the genocide.

Yeah, with big-time help from the French!
