NABLUS, West Bank - Israeli soldiers stormed homes in the West Bank yesterday, killing three Palestinians suspected in the fatal shooting of an Israeli and testing an uneasy security arrangement with Palestinian authorities.
The predawn operations in Nablus targeted activists of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah movement. Abbas aides accused Israel of undermining US-backed peace efforts.

The army initially said soldiers exchanged fire with the wanted man, but Lerner said Subeh did not use his weapons.
