Iran Nowhere Near a Nuclear Bomb

"Iran currently has one operating enrichment facility that has churned out around 3,300 pounds of 3.5 percent enriched uranium over the past years"

Yeah, and they need 90% for a bomb!

"Tehran vows to enrich uranium on its own" by Associated Press | December 3, 2009

TEHRAN -- Iran currently has one operating enrichment facility that has churned out around 3,300 pounds of 3.5 percent enriched uranium over the past years, but the country needs fuel enriched to 20 percent to power a medical research reactor.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a cheering crowd of thousands in Isfahan:

I declare here that with the grace of God, the Iranian nation will produce 20 percent [enriched uranium] fuel and anything it needs itself. We told them, ‘give us the 20 percent fuel [in an exchange].’ But then they started adding conditions. So we said, ‘if you want to give us the fuel we’ll take it. If not, then fine and goodbye.’ ’’

Officials from the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, had no immediate comment. The comments were the latest in a string of defiant statements by the Islamic Republic.

Yeah, strange how Israel is never defiant, huh?

On Sunday, Ahmadinejad announced Iran would build 10 more uranium enrichment facilities, despite the widespread belief that the country simply does not have the resources to match its boasts.

Then they can't be much of a threat, can they?

[The only imaginable answer as to why the Iranian President would announce to the world that Iran will build ten new enrichment facilities and now enrich its uranium to higher levels is to keep tensions high and escalate the confrontation with the Zionist West. Maybe he really is secretly Jewish.] -- Ahmadinejad Working for Israel?

Especially when the Zionist West has NOTHING!!!

They are reduced to running propaganda such as this:

TEHRAN - Iran warned yesterday that it will prosecute five British sailors if it is proven they had “bad intentions’’ when their 60-foot racing yacht entered its waters, in what Britain says was an innocent case of a vessel accidentally going astray in the Gulf....

Okay, let's get you a FLASHBACK:

It’s hard to see why, on a regular journey from Bahrain to Dubai, they would have gone through Iranian territorial waters’’

Yes, INDEED!!!!

"
Iran holds 5 Britons halted on yacht; Racing crew detained amid nuclear tensions" by Raphael G. Satter, Associated Press | December 1, 2009

LONDON - Iran is holding five British sailors after stopping their racing yacht in the Persian Gulf, the British government said yesterday. The move could heighten tensions between Iran and major world powers, including Britain, that are demanding a halt to its nuclear program.

"This is a repeat of the same PR stunt the British tried back in 2007! Nothing like a new hostage crisis to distract the media from Climategate, eh?" -- Wake the Flock Up

The yacht owned by Sail Bahrain was stopped on its way from the tiny island country to the Gulf city of Dubai on Wednesday when it “may have strayed inadvertently into Iranian waters,’’ Britain’s Foreign Office said....

Yeah, BULL-CRAP!!!!

They HAD GPS and all the fancy gizmos, so PFFFFFFTTTT!!!!

Richard Schofield, a specialist on international boundaries in the Middle East at King’s College in London, said it was difficult to understand how the boat could have ended up in trouble with Iranian authorities. “It’s hard to see why, on a regular journey from Bahrain to Dubai, they would have gone through Iranian territorial waters,’’ he said.

Foreign Secretary David Miliband of Britain said British officials ha d been in touch about the matter with their Iranian counterparts for nearly a week. It was not immediately clear why British officials had decided to publicize the case now....

Actually, IT IS and WE CAN SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU:

C-L-I-M-A-T-E-G-A-T-E!!!

The statement added that the crew members “are still in Iran’’ and were “understood to be safe,’’ but did not specify where they were and what their legal status was. A Foreign Office spokeswoman said she was not in a position to elaborate.

Since when?

An Iranian Foreign Ministry official said he was not aware of reports a British yacht had been stopped. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the press....

Iran is holding three young Americans who strayed across the border from northern Iraq in July. The United States has appealed for their release, saying they were innocent hikers who accidentally crossed into Iran. Tehran has accused them of spying, a sign that they could be put on trial.

What a SHAME when IRAN is MORE TRUSTWORTHY than YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT or MSM, AmeriKa! How TRULY SAD!

Fifteen British military personnel were detained in the Gulf by Iran under disputed circumstances in March 2007. Iran charged them with trespassing in its waters, and the Iranian government televised apologies by some of the captured crew. All were eventually freed without an apology from Britain, which steadfastly insisted the crew members were taken in Iraqi waters, where they were authorized to be.

There those damn Iranians go again! Being magnanimous to Britain again!!!!

Schofield, of King’s College, said that Iran had a pattern of taking such action when it was feeling “a little defensive.’’

Yeah, well, GIVEN the THREATS from ISRAEL of IMPATIENCE of its BULLY WHO FIGHTS ITS BATTLES (the U.S.), YOU would feel a "little defensive" yourself!!!!

So WHAT COVER STORY has the press concocted on this one?

The yacht is the pride of a high-profile racing program sponsored by the king of the tiny Arab island nation of Bahrain, which has been trying to build itself as a financial and sporting powerhouse. The vessel was on its way from Bahrain to Dubai last Wednesday for the start of its first off-shore race when it had a problem with its propeller, according to Andrew Pindar, whose Team Pindar owns the yacht.

PFFFFFFTTT!

It drifted into Iranian waters and was seized by the elite Revolutionary Guard near the Iranian island of Sirri, which lies near the mouth of the narrow Strait of Hormuz off Dubai. “There is certainly no question of any malicious intent on the part of these five young people,’’ British Foreign Secretary David Miliband told reporters in London, saying the entry into Iranian waters was inadvertent. “This is a human story . . . It’s got nothing to do with politics, it’s got nothing to do with the nuclear enrichment program,’’ Miliband said....

Then WHY bring it up, lying British puke?

I SMELL SPY, folks!

"Iran whistle-blower died from drugged salad, report says; Doctor had told of treating some tortured in jail" by Lee Keath, Associated Press | December 3, 2009

CAIRO - A 26-year-old doctor who exposed the torture of jailed protesters in Iran died of poisoning from a delivery salad laced with an overdose of blood pressure medication, prosecutors say.

The findings fueled opposition fears that he was killed because of what he knew.

What, the MSM seeing "conspiracies?"

Investigators are still trying to determine whether his death last month was a suicide or murder, Tehran’s public prosecutor Abbas Dowlatabadi said, according to the state news agency IRNA.

The revelations of torture against prisoners in Iran’s postelection turmoil angered even government supporters and deeply embarrassed the country’s clerical leadership and security forces.

So WHEN are AmeriKa's WAR CRIMINALS going to feel some SHAME?

The Iranians are BETTER than us?!!

Much of the abuse took place at Kahrizak, a prison on Tehran’s outskirts where hundreds of opposition protesters were taken. Several there died, and the facility became so notorious that Iran’s supreme leader was forced to close it down.

The doctor, Ramin Pourandarjani, who worked at Kahrizak, later testified to a parliamentary committee and reportedly told them that a young protester he treated died from severe torture. He said he was also forced by security officials to list the cause of death as meningitis, according to opposition websites. Pourandarjani died on Nov. 10 in mysterious circumstances, with authorities initially saying he was in a car accident, had a heart attack, or committed suicide.

Good thing we never have such discrepancies in AmeriKa!

And look, I don't want anyone tortured or killed; however, I DO RESENT the SELECTIVITY of ATTENTION the AmeriKan MSM and their relentless demonization of "enemies" while our we and allies do far more heinous things.

Forensic tests showed that the doctor died of “poisoning by drugs’’ that matched doses of propranolol found in a salad that was delivered to him, Dowlatabadi said Tuesday. “A large number of these pills must be used for a person to pass away from them,’’ he said. Propranolol is used to treat high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, and tremors, and can be lethal in high doses.

The restaurant delivery man told investigators that he gave the salad directly to Pourandarjani and described how the doctor took it from him at the door of his room, then closed the door behind him, Dowlatabadi said. The delivery man is not under arrest, he said. Last week, Iran’s top police commander, Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam, insisted the death was a suicide. He said the doctor faced criminal charges over failure to fulfill his duties to treat the detainees and killed himself in despair in a courthouse lounge. The police chief said a note was found with the body.

His comments were the first and only public word that Pourandarjani had faced any charges - or that he had died in a courthouse. One proreform lawmaker dismissed the suicide claims and suggested a link to the prison torture. “It is impossible to accuse him of suicide,’’ said Masood Pezeshkian, the pro-opposition Web site Roozonline reported yesterday. “The idea of suicide by someone who had no problems and no serious disease - and was present during the events at Kahrizak - seems questionable to us.’’

Yes, and this is something for the Iranians to deal with.

Is there nothing else going on in Iran, MSM?

In his testimony, the doctor told the committee investigating abuse that Mohsen Rouhalamini, the son of a prominent conservative figure, was brought to him at Kahrizak “in a dreadful state after being subjected to extreme physical torture. He was in a critical state,’’ the opposition website Mowjcamp said, citing parliament officials. Pourandarjani said that after the youth’s death, “officials in Kahrizak threatened that if I disclosed the causes of the wounds of the injured at Kahrizak, I would not be able to live,’’ the site reported.

At least they are nowhere near a nuclear bomb.
