Occupation Iraq: Setting Up Sadr

No longer; now he will be blamed for any violence as a "retaliation."

That's a burgeoning job in Iraq.

BAGHDAD — The bloodiest day of the year in Iraq left at least 69 people dead in a series of bombings in mainly Shi’ite areas yesterday — concerted attacks seen as demonstrating the resilience of the Sunni-led insurgency after the slaying of two Al Qaeda leaders last weekend.

No one has taken responsibility
for the blasts, but officials were quick to blame Sunni-led insurgent groups for attacking at a particularly fragile time as Iraq awaits formation of a new government and prepares for US troops to go home by the end of next year.

The protracted political wrangling since contentious March 7 elections has raised fears of sectarian violence akin to that seen at the height of the war.

Don't you know Al-CIA-Duh will do anything to keep the U.S. in their permanent bases?

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki lashed out at the bombers in a statement last night....

Yesterday’s apparently coordinated attacks came in a two-hour span shortly after the Shi’ites’ call to prayer across the capital. The major blasts were in former Shi’ite militia strongholds, underscoring the insurgents’ professed aim of provoking a new round of sectarian bloodshed. Among the targets of the car and roadside bombs were three Shi’ite mosques.

Yeah, SOMEONE is TRYING to START SOMETHING and it ain't Muslims who have lived there for centuries without doing such things, sorry.

In the vast eastern Baghdad slum of Sadr City, hundreds of worshippers knelt on prayer mats in the streets surrounding the offices of anti-US cleric Moqtada al-Sadr when the deadliest blasts went off.

And HE just happens to be the one who will decide WHO will be the next GOVERNMENT.

Hmmmmm.

Four strategically located car bombs timed to maximize the carnage killed at least 36 people and wounded nearly 200, according to hospital and police officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

Now THAT smells like MOSSAD!

Flames shot out of nearby parked cars and motorcycles. Blood mixed with water streamed down muddy streets as firefighters worked to put out the blazes and passers-by frantically tried to help. Shouting men loaded the wounded onto trucks to rush them to the hospital.

One man ran carrying a young girl in a bloodstained pink dress. Others could be seen picking up human remains and burying them in a nearby field, before sunset in accordance with Islamic law.

Been seven years of this s***.

Onlookers in Sadr City threw stones at arriving Iraqi security forces, frustrated that the troops cannot secure the city. The troops fired their guns in the air to scatter the crowd.

Yeah, the IRAQIS are WELL AWARE of FALSE FLAGS and INSIDE JOBS!

Two of the bombs exploded in the mainly Shi’ite neighborhood of Zafaraniyah, killing one person and wounding 12.

Two others targeted mosques linked with prominent Shi’ite political leaders.

A car bomb at the Hadi al-Chalabi mosque in the Hurriyah neighborhood killed eight people and wounded 19. The mosque is named after the father of Ahmed Chalabi, who was behind much of the faulty intelligence that resulted in the US-led invasion and has since led efforts to bar many Sunni political figures from office.

So that is who Israel ran their garbage through, huh?

Yeah, somehow that sleazeball is in the position the U.S. wanted him in all along, huh?

A bomb targeting the Muhsin al-Hakim mosque killed 14 people and wounded 36. That mosque is named after the grandfather of Ammar al-Hakim, a leading Shi’ite political figure whose party has ties to Iran.

Then "Al-CIA-Duh" is our friend, aren't they?

In the past, such bombings would be followed by revenge attacks by militias against Sunnis, but the retaliatory violence ebbed after Sadr’s forces were routed by US-Iraqi offensives in 2008.

That is such a distortion of what happened then.

As I recall, the AmeriKan MSM hyped up this as a showcase for the new Iraqi forces we built and trained.

After a couple of days, they got bogged down and had to call for US help.

Then Iran helped broker the peace.

But hey, it's my newspaper.

What else would I expect?

Three people died in scattered violence elsewhere in the capital.

Just like everyday.

For the record, I hold George W. Bush primarily responsible for the destruction of Iraqi lives and consider all U.S. government officials since culpable as well.

We turned their world upside down and called it a success.

Yeah, the AmeriKan MSM is calling it a victory.

Up comes breakfast.

"Bombings raise fear militias will be revived in Iraq; Aides say Sadr wanted to help, not threaten" by Lara Jakes, Associated Press | April 25, 2010

BAGHDAD — In offering to help Iraqi security forces to fight insurgents after a wave of deadly bombings in the capital, an anti-American Shi’ite cleric is sending a clear signal to the government: If you don’t protect us, we will protect ourselves.

Moqtada al-Sadr’s statement raised the fearful specter that he might be considering reactivating his once-powerful militia known as the Mahdi Army, a move that would play into Al Qaeda in Iraq’s efforts to spark sectarian war.

And even if he doesn't the AmeriKan MSM will BLAME THEM for any violence carried out by BLACKWATER, MOSSAD, CIA, his political enemy(!), take your pick.

The "SADRISTS" know better then ANYONE about FALSE FLAGS!

Aren't they the exact people we went to liberate?

Sadr’s aides, however, insisted yesterday that the cleric wasn’t threatening to send armed men onto the streets but was offering to help the government forces, who have been widely criticized for failing to protect the people as US troops pull back.

Oh, no, U.S. can't have any of that!

The move comes as Sadr seeks to consolidate political power among Iraq’s Shi’ites after a strong showing by his followers in March 7 parliamentary elections. The cleric, a staunch opponent of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, has emerged as a power broker who could play a key role in deciding the country’s next leader.

How come EVERYTHING the DELUSIONAL AmeriKan government does BACK-f***ing-FIRES?!!!

Bombs targeting Shi’ite mosques around Baghdad killed 72 worshipers on Friday.

That was "Al-CIA-Duh!"

Late yesterday, bombs hidden in three plastic bags exploded simultaneously in a billiard hall in a religiously mixed neighborhood in western Baghdad, killing seven people and wounding 25, according to police and hospital officials. Another 19 people were wounded in the blasts.

What do you mean RELIGIOUSLY-MIXED?

Yeah, TURNS OUT SHIITE and SUNNI have LIVED TOGETHER, INTERMARRIED(!), and WORSHIPED rather PEACEFULLY as KEPT THEIR MOSQUES INTACT (even under Saddam) for CENTURIES -- until the U.S. got there.

Sadr urged his followers to remain calm and to do nothing to prompt US forces to remain in Iraq any longer than their planned withdrawal deadline at the end of 2011.

Yes, NO CUI BONO for TRUE "INSURGENTS" to act now!!

The AL-CIA-DUH MASK is OFF, folks!

Thus the airstrikes and decapitation of "Al-CIA-Duh" leadership in Iraq.

But (pfft; you know where you can stick the buts) he added that he was prepared to provide “hundreds of believers’’ to join the Iraqi army and police to defend “their shrines, mosques, prayers, markets, houses, and their towns.’’

So if something happens, it's him! Got it, Amurkn?

He did not directly mention the Mahdi Army, which fought pitched battles with American forces and was blamed in some of the country’s worst sectarian bloodshed before it was routed by US-Iraqi offensives in 2008....

I love lies and distortions that are boiled down to a obfuscating sentence of background, don't you?

Goes good with slices of MSM toast.

Maliki’s senior aide Ali al-Adeeb expressed doubt that the government would accept Sadr’s offer.

I didn't think they would. Maybe he should back Allawi then.

Sadr, who is widely believed to be based in Iran, has reemerged as a prominent politician after announcing in 2008 that he was transforming his militia into a social welfare body with a few guerrilla cells to attack US troops if the Pentagon refused to leave Iraq.

So you know who is controlling him (as opposed to independent US puppets that elections are rigged for).

His bloc, which was part of a hard-line Shi’ite religious coalition, won 39 seats in the 325-member parliament, making him a sought-after ally as Maliki and secular rival Ayad Allawi jockey for the necessary majority support to govern.

The protracted wrangling has raised fears the political vacuum may allow sectarian violence that peaked after the 2006 bombing of a revered Shi’ite mosque in Samarra to rekindle.

Well, some can always hope, huh, readers?

Been there before.

US and Iraqi officials have credited Shi’ites so far for resisting retaliation.

Yeah, I have to admit that the Shi'ites are about the most patient people I have ever seen for having been stomped on so much.

Sadr’s offer may well be a political feint.

All right, THAT DOES IT!

Shove your propaganda and insults, MSM!

Gee whiz!

His relationship with Maliki has been bitter at best since 2008 and his followers have frequently criticized the prime minister for failing to prevent bombings.

Well, when a government murderer sends his AmeriKan-supplied thugs to kill your people, how are you supposed to feel?

Ain't that a kick in the old s***ter, 'eh, AmeriKa?

In offering his help — and expecting it to be rebuffed — Sadr can describe the militia as needed protection the next time his followers are attacked, according to Brett McGurk, an expert at the Council on Foreign Relations and former US National Security Council official.

Straight from the horse's.... well, you know.

That, in turn, is exactly what the Sunni-dominated Al Qaeda in Iraq wants: a loose-trigger Shi’ite adversary who might be easily goaded into sectarian fighting.

NOT BITING, MSM, sorry.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the Friday attacks most near Shi’ite mosques or places of worship, but Maliki and other officials blamed Al Qaeda. The bombings were widely seen as payback for the killings last weekend of two top Al Qaeda leaders.

Maliki has been put in the uncomfortable position of having to woo Sadr and the support of his followers.

How IRONIC after trying to KILL HIM, huh?

Yes, there ARE HIGHER FORCES at work in this world!

But
Maliki also can’t afford to give Sadr carte blanche, and unleashing the Mahdi Army would be seen as a hostile step against Sunnis.

What does he care? Their candidate is Allawi.
